What do you suggest for those that are not able-bodied? Whether due to illness, age, injury, or whatever? People that will never, in all likelihood, "get back to contributing?"
  2. Max O is the "grown man" that still finds entertainment in using a magnifying glass to kill ants and squeezing his dog's scrotum to make him yelp. He is not a real person, but a Russian bot, a caricature of MAGA cartoonishness and stupidity. He's also a liar, a fascist, and living in a closet so fortified it more closely resembles a bunker for fear of his "secret" sexual predilections becoming public for those outside of the GC. Everyone here knows what he is, a closeted, self-loathing gay man/tranny. I would suggest you try to help him, but he's likely well beyond that, and would mostly benefit from someone cutting off his internet (along with some superfluous body parts), massive doses of pharmaceuticals, and involuntary psychiatric holding.
  3. The judges aren't setting policy. They are interpreting existing law w/r/t whatever they are ruling on. Declaring that something is illegal/anti-constitutional is not setting policy. It's telling the powers that be that the EO's are illegal, and therefore unenforceable. This is what appeals are for.
  4. Pro tip: Disregard EVERYTHING Jack Posobiec says, always. Lying scumbag fascist is the most gentlemanly way I can describe him.

LETS BE HONEST - Van Halen or Van Hagar

VAN HAGAR BABY! Hagar is objectively a better vocalist, lyricist, and songwriter than DLR, not to mention a better musician and all-around human being. VH 1 was a game changing classic, nobody would argue that. But their albums varied drastically in quality for the rest of Roth's tenure. 1984 was a polarizing album, bit it's easily still my 2nd favorite of the DLR era. 5150 and Carnal Knowledge are both better, IMO. Eat em and Smile and Skyscraper were both great albums, though. Honestly, other than VH's debut, I like most of Roth's solo stuff better than his VH stuff. Steve Vai being close to Eddie's equal in guitar chops helps.
  7. Well now we're getting somewhere. What the lower courts are doing is entirely within their jurisdictions; they are ruling on executive orders, not legislation. They are not countermanding law, they are telling POTUS his EO's are illegal, pretty much universally. Since congressional GOPers have rolled over and played dead, allowing Dear Leader Don to do whatever comes into his his shriveled little brain, none of what he is doing is codified, therefore completely subject to judicial review. That is my non-lawyerly interpretation.

Kash Patel will be confirmed today!

Absolutely. But would that even register, especially for the die hard MAGA contingent? Or would it all be a witch hunt perpetrated by activist judges and prosecutors? Seems like we've seen this movie before and know how it turns out. Appreciate you indulging my rambling.
  9. But it's more fun the back and you feel the movement more!
  10. This ride is getting boring. I want to go on a different one.
  11. @squistionNot to nitpick, but I don't recall the Don saying anything about a trial in those rants. Am I misremembering, or should you change the thread title?
  12. This is the reason I DON'T leave. Birds of a feather and all.
  13. Fully agree with the bolded. I'll point out that it's been 160+ years since the last time this happened in the US, and all of the above examples were carried out after a trial of some sort. While I do not literally think our dlckless wonder of a POTUS is advocating directly for political assassinations, some of his more deranged acolytes might, which he damn well knows. Dude survived a very near miss himself last year. For him to say stuff like this is just further example of how unfit he is.
  14. This is another Trump move that should probably be ignored. My rationale for that opinion is that prior to it being usurped by the Nazis, it was a well-recognized symbol of good fortune across many different belief systems, religions, and ethnicities. There are historical buildings in my city that have swastikas tiled into the floor. My wife's aunt and uncle have a family heirloom quilt made in the early 20th century emblazoned with them. This is more FLOOD THE ZONE bullshit. Concentrate on the myriad laws and norms being broken, not stupid crap like this designed only to rile people up and remove focus from the real issues.
  15. Who did whatnow? I certainly never saw what you're referencing.

All those things are fair and though I disagree with a couple of your points I won't quibble. But what about the claims of self-dealing and corruption, which are rampant?

Trump's World (Trump News & Discussion Thread)

I'm not worried about nukes flying. I am terrified for my kids' futures in this collapsing democracy, though.

Kash Patel will be confirmed today!

I'm not trying to go after you here, as you are not one of the righty nutjobs willing to defend the Don for every stupid thing he does/says. But I do feel like your response above is representative of a lot of folks that believe strongly that the Dems are off their rockers and Trump was going to solve many, or at least some, of the issues that they created during the Biden term. There seems to be an entrenchment among conservatives wherein they simply refuse to acknowledge negative information about Trump, especially if that information makes the Don look corrupt as opposed to just an unfiltered loudmouth. Maybe it was the 24/7 bombardment of negative stories about Biden in right wing media about how corrupt he and his son were. Maybe it because Dems have been screaming the same crap for a decade and they're immune to it, I dunno. But I do know that this refusal to even consider evidence contrary to their opinions is going to cause big problems down the road, especially if we're fortunate enough to hold him to account for any of his crimes.

Segregating the diseased eunuchs from the rest of the normal population? Seems smart to me.
  21. How is a video reinforcing to armed service members that based on military codes of conduct, and the oath they swear to uphold the Constitution of the United States they are OBLIGATED to refuse ILLEGAL orders "seditious-ish?" The video was not telling them to disobey orders. It was reminding them of what they already should know. Asking you because you aren't hallucinating on the red kool-aid. Or at least you haven't historically.

    Minnesota

Yup. Kind of a perfect storm of younger kids being woefully unprepared for the workplace (or in many cases, life generally), too liberal state policies (yes, I'm a lib, and yes, I just said that) and government and corporate leaders that are stupifyingly out of touch with the working class. We're already seeing it, and have been for the past year. It's only going to get worse.
