I agree with you if you're marketing to them. Politics and personal philosophy in general cannot and should not be measured in the same manner. You can make inferences about which party someone will vote for with limited data points. But that doesn't tell you what their beliefs are.

In normal times, these two would be celebrated by the right. Taylor with her wholesome image, making family friendly music, girl next door type that's down to earth despite being one of the richest, most influential people in the world. Paired with Travis Kelce; white, Midwestern football hero with a famous brother that also plays football. Strong, no bs types. Alpha male. Through the Tumpian looking glass, they're both agents of evil. Someday maybe this little blip of Trumpy history will be a good punchline and we can all laugh about how crazy things got. Someday.

Highly underrated film. Maybe because people stopped watching it 2/3 of the way through because it made no sense until the end. Remember watching it in HS with some friends that complained throughout that the movie was terrible other than the nudity. Then it was over and they loved it. And the nudity.

I've been anticipating this for years. Just the next logical step. Right now my youngest kid is 7 and already lobbying for a phone. By the time she graduates high school, she'll want the implants. To clarify: she'll want electronic interface implants; not the other kind you sick focks.

Chinatown is pretty much the quintessential noir film, Maltese and Key Largo are wonderful. Don't think I've ever seen a Humphrey Bogart film I didn't like. DePalma's work in that genre is stupendous too (Blow Out, Dressed to Kill, Body Double). Some more recent noirs I really liked were LA Confidential and Brick. If you are looking for a little comedy in your noir, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is fantastic. As is The Big Lebowski.

You live in the valley, right? So from there you'd head up Beeline hwy (hwy 87? can't remember for sure) going through Payson to get to Winslow? There were some wildfires up that way a few years back, but west of the little town of Strawberry is my favorite place in the world, a little hot spring right on the banks of the Verde River. Would you have any idea if that area has been reopened?

I don't get to AZ anymore, since the family I had there all either moved away or died. But if I ever get down that way again, I'll make a point to reach out to you Jerry. I miss the hell out of the southwest.

I caught nearly a one year ban there at one point for making a remark to one of the resident MAGAMOOKS that didn't even approach the horrible shlt jonmx posted daily. Let's not pretend conservatives were the only ones getting suspended. Let's also not pretend that, much like here, the most vile and nasty posts came from the conservatives at about a 10:1 rate. If anything, the mods were TOO accommodating to conservatives, trying to show how "unbiased" they were.
