Tennessee passes bill gutting marriage rights

You've certainly been unfairly targeted in your time here, and I wouldn't blame you for leaving, though I'd selfishly prefer that you not. If you find a new place, pm me please. I do enjoy mixing it up with the clowns here, but at a certain point it's tiring to deal with the jagoffs that never discuss issues or facts and just post personal attacks. Some of them aren't bad guys, just argumentative. On the other hand, there are a handful of truly wretched pukes without any redeeming qualities.

    Who can we blame?

Likewise on appreciating civil discussion. I'm all for defending Ukraine. I'm never in support of fraud or graft. Unfortunately, as our DoD is presently constructed, defense and graft go hand in hand.

    Bye Bye Nikki

Care to elaborate? I've heard and believed these rumors but never from someone directly involved.
  4. Seems unlikely for those of us paying attention.
  5. No she didn't. In Maine, that decision is under her purview. Again, no one's saying you have to agree or think it isn't strictly a partisan decision. But she is wholly within her rights to do so. I hate Trump, but this and the CO case don't sit right with me, even though I completely agree that he is guilty of fraud, insurrection, and treason. You can't ignore the law just because you don't like the results.

    Bye Bye Nikki

20+ years ago I would have agreed with all of this, right down to your last statement. That was before 9/11 even. Then I realized that while the gist of what you're saying is true, the scope just isn't. And if you think (which you do) that one political party and its' adherents are primarily at fault, you're being willfully gaslighted. We're on the same team Jon, whether you acknowledge it or not.
  7. Per Maine's weird state law. You can disagree with her decision, but it does not appear as though she overstepped her position.

    Who can we blame?

I only spent 8 days in NYC in the immediate aftermath as a member of the media. The anecdotal observations I made were that FDNY were heroic studs, while NYPD mostly just sat around, got in the way, and generally made things more difficult than they had to be. I've got a fun story about media credentialing, run by NYPD, that was so fuct up that I ended up never getting one after spending two days trying. And it didn't matter a bit, despite insistence that all media carry one.

    Who can we blame?

I think it's too important to prevent the spread of authoritarianism, especially when it encroaches on European allies, to not give aid to Ukraine. But I certainly see and acknowledge the point you're making.

They should be defunded. Kidding, couldn't help myself. That story is fuct.

    Who can we blame?

I rolled into NYC early morning of 9/14/01 during a heavy rain. Damn glad for that rain, as I was told it drastically improved the air quality in lower Manhattan. It's probably moot since I smoked over a pack a day while I was there, but at least it wasn't AS bad. I'll never forget some of the shlt I heard and saw that week. Tragedy, sadness, and real heroism.

    Who can we blame?

Yup. Luckily we're taking the time to teach them about money and saving. Unlike my boomer parents.

    Bye Bye Nikki

Nah. You've just chosen a different, more egregious set of liars, and swallowed it like the worm at the bottom of the tequila bottle. Now you're drunk on it. Know how I know this? Because no matter what, you INSIST on truths that are untrue (like every liberal is a fascist), with zero inclination to listen to anything someone that disagrees with you says. Then your immediate response when being called out is to throw around nasty names and accusations instead of actually being thoughtful or empathetic about someone else's position. You're pretty much the definition of a useful idiot. I just can't figure out what you're useful for.

    Who can we blame?

It wouldn't have to if any of our politicians had the balls to take on DoD spending and the pentagon. Wanna find giant abuses and fraud? Start there. They won't even allow an audit because of the complexity of the money trails.

    Who can we blame?

Agreed. Lip service to it will be top of mind soon, though as we enter the election year.

    Trump INDICTED

Who's my guy again? If you're referring to Joe Biden, it shows the intensity with which you steadfastly ignore everything that doesn't fit nicely into your partisan ideology. You should change your profile pic from the H into a machete, you're such a hack.

    Bye Bye Nikki

Who better to accomplish these goals than Donald Trump? He's perfect!

    Trump INDICTED

Got your brown shirt on and lubing up your tongue for the bootlicking, are ya? Practicing your salute to the Divine Supreme Leader Herr Trump?
  19. I'm more than happy to support a non-Trump Republican and let Biden fade away into history. Four years ago I was convinced I'd never vote for a Republican for the rest of my life, so I've moved a good distance on that front due to Biden's many shortcomings. I'm not okay with any of the things you mention above. But you're going to vote for the guy under multiple indictments that's talking openly about doing those things. That's some serious cognitive disconnect.

    Lauren Boebert Switching Districts

Where the fuk were you living? Tim is correct about his corner of CA. The coastal cities have the highest per capita numbers of hot women anywhere on the planet, especially around LA and SD, where the beaches are. Where he's wrong is including the entire state in that assessment. The women in places like Sockton, San Bernardino, or Redding are pretty much the same as anywhere else.
  21. Agreed. Trump has finally been charged for some of his bad behavior. Unfortunately you refuse to see it that way.

    States keeping candidates off ballots

I've shown you this before. And this. What about this? This? Or maybe this... Here's an example And another. There are more. What you post above is completely incongruous with supporting Trump. I've shown you many examples, as have others. So, which is it? Do you actually care about what you claim, but you've been so misinformed that you're truly confused about these events? Or are you just another gutless, ignorant hyper partisan hypocrite that doesn't really care about any of this as long as the horrible libs are defeated?
  25. The original campaign against weed was primarily driven by large companies like Dow, starting in the 1930s. Hemp was better than their fantastic new creation of nylon, and there was money to be made. Reefer Madness came out in 1936.
