What's the profit incentive for privatized education? I get you're one of the "less government, let the market take care of the problem more efficiently" guys, but I would file this under something in which the profit-driven nature of corporations would work against the best interests of the students. Unless you have an idea to share.

Great post. 100% agree. I'm sure you'll disagree, but I'd throw at least a basic level of healthcare into that mix. Basically IMO the government is there to support things in which corporate profit margin is at odds with the public good. Healthcare, infrastructure, cops, clean air and water, preservation, and national defense. The bureaucracy required to do so should be kept lean.

Not sure I'd go that far. Tlaib and Omar are awful, and I'd never vote for either. Unless their opponent was Trump. I do not agree with their positions, especially regarding Palestine/Israel. But at least they're honest about their convictions. The only convictions Trump has are the ones he'll be seeing handed down by future juries.

Sad but true. Last two Republican presidents have been abysmal failures in so many ways. Republican Party would have been dead and buried by 2006 if it wasn't for Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, and their respective clones.
