I have told you this before, but it bears repeating: put psychofoam on ignore. Very few geeks deserve this treatment, but he is the poster child for the feature. I make a big salad to take to work. Lettuce, carrots, cukes, tomatoes, shrooms, a couple different kinds of olives, avocado if I have any, and use tzatziki instead of a traditional salad dressing. If I have leftover bacon, grilled chicken, bratwurst, steak, etc. I cut it up and put some in. Full daily serving of veggies in one meal.

The issue I see is the targeted marginalization (to put it nicely) of LGBTQ by this admin. Every authoritarian needs to have "the enemy from within" to gin up anger. Trump sees a lot of enemies from within, and has shown that his rhetoric causes violence. Any group or individual he targets will eventually be targeted by some of his sycophants, in some cases violently. That is a feature, not a bug.

I know where you're coming from, there's a lot of truth to this. I fully admit that my immediate reaction upon hearing Trump might be doing something I would normally support, like reducing waste and fraud, is to think "why, what's in it for him?" not "good!" Ultimately, DOGE ended up being what anti-Trumpers thought it would be: an idea that sounds good until Trump puts it into action. It's highly likely that DOGE will end up costing more than it saved, and it saved relative sofa change compared to what could be saved if someone really cared about doing it right. He never claimed he was going to balance the budget. DOGE just ended up firing a bunch of people and canceling contracts and grants with zero vetting as to the consequences. That is the definition of poor leadership.
