My understanding is that the budget and reconciliation vote has to occur on or before April 15th. My guess is that this is why the cuts are being brought up now. The GOP will completely own any cuts in spending or taxes, as Dems won't support any of it. Donald's #1 priority is that tax cut.

So, you did change your positions. I have changed my opinion on quite a few things over the years, some of it resulting from conversations with conservatives and links/information they have provided to me. Not necessarily wholesale, 180° changes, but changes nonetheless.

Yeah. He is regularly quite funny unintentionally. -

Not bad. not bad at all. -
Says the guy whose imagination and regurgitation of uncited Tucker Carlson opinions serve as primary sources.

I'll take your word for it. I'm just happy they finally unfucked the gerrymandered nightmare you guys had over there. Swiss cheese congressional districts and all. -

Oooofffff. If she is half as pious as she presents herself, she no doubt has some serious moral qualms with her position, who gave it to her, and the expectations that came with that appointment. -

He was too dumb and misinformed to have a real conversation so he retreated to his safe space-- tranny threads. He had to call me out because I'm the one that made him feel inferior. -

Russian bot is just butthurt about being schooled in another thread. He's letting off some steam. He never really knows or believes what he's saying, anyway. -
Valid points. No doubt the VA has plenty of waste that can be identified and trimmed. What are the odds that these cuts were scrutinized and carefully considered, given that those who have paid terrible costs to defend this country are reliant on the services provided? I'd put them at roughly 0.

Surrender accepted. Go start another tranny thread and mention me in it so you don't have to face the reality that you're just a stupid troll unable to defend your insipid opinions. Oh wow, you're fast! You already did it!

Rent free. I just wish the quarters weren't so damn tiny. -
Aw, and here I thought you might be up for a real convo, but of course not. You can't defend your dipshit opinions, so you get pissy, call someone names, lie about them and their character. Rinse, repeat. Fuc off.

I believe so. I am not aware of the stipulations, I only know what my FIL went through after a series of strokes. The VA saved his life and the family home. He would have been bankrupt after 4+ months of inpatient rehab.

Privatization? JFC. Sure, why not? I mean when have insurance companies and large corporations ever failed to do the right or humane thing? Saints, all of 'em! Yes, let's definitely privatize it so it becomes even harder for them to pay their medical bills. I don't think you understand the realities of insurance and healthcare. Most hospitals also feature impersonal care and long wait times. Been to an ER lately?

In many cases yes, but not always.

After discharge, 50%+ of veterans end up on SS/ disability of some kind. The military creates people that in many cases are highly physically and mentally damaged. You assert that instead of maintaining the already existing structure, where the vets get free care for the afflictions that they suffered exclusively because they enlisted, we should tear that down so vets can find their own providers. How do they pay for that, exactly? When they already collect disability and in many cases are un- or under employed due to their limitations, you want them to go get private insurance that often cost more than a mortgage payment WITH high deductibles? Expand Medicare/Medicaid? Create a NEW bureaucracy that you can bltch endlessly about? Seems like more WASTE AND FRAUD waiting to happen. And all this so asshats like Trump and Tony can get some tax breaks? GFY. If you are not a Russian bot, you're missing out on a good revenue stream, because you parrot russkie talking points every day, in every thread. You DGAF about anything but pissing off libs, that much is clear.
-
Seriously, how focking delusional ARE you? Pretend you know WTF you're talking about and explain to us how this will help veterans. Preferably without tranny memes. TIA.

We are witnessing a real-time global-level shakedown perpetrated by the US, with the victim being a European democracy at war with an authoritarian aggressor. Trump is running a protection racket on Ukraine so he can hand his boss Putin exactly what he wants.

But what are you going to do when the prices go sky high for items you use? Like chewing tobacco, copper for your backyard still, fabric for weaving confederate flags, electricity to power your infinite internet tranny searches... -
Jesus, man. Youre still masochistic enough to read this guy's posts; you know damn well it's translated from Russian. правда

I have no doubt that's your opinion and that's fine. I just want someone to explain to me how telling someone what their legal rights are could possibly be illegal or worthy of investigation. She is spelling out how they can protect themselves within legal parameters. I would want the same information were I an immigrant. The advice also helps her legally immigrated constituency if they happen to get caught up in a raid.
-
They have rights afforded them by the US justice system. Here is the pdf that AOC shared. Everything is above board, informing people of their rights under US law. I have yet to see a legally sound explanation as to how a US congresswoman, practicing her 1A rights and discussing legal options afforded everyone in the US, regardless of their home nation or immigration status, is in any way illegal or deserving of investigation. Perhaps you can explain it to me.

Do you or anyone else have any proof that she was talking exclusively to illegals? That not a single individual was an American citizen and her constituent? Even if you did prove that, 1A protects her. Again, she was not giving them detailed plans on how to avoid ICE, or hide in the sewers, or set up the 21st century version of the underground railroad. She was telling them what their lawful rights are. What's illegal about that? Nobody has answered this question.
