You don't need to imagine anything, it's out there, and it's gross. I went down a youtube rabbit hole over the weekend, which is something I rarely do. There are a lot of videos of farmers that are talking about how screwed they are since USAID got shut down and took away funding from large contracts these farmers signed and were depending on to make ends meet. Many of the presumably liberal responses were basically "fock you, you voted for it, don't complain." That sentiment is valid, but the glee they took in these people's lives being upended was... uninspiring, to put it in the nicest possible terms. Other terms might be inhumane, disturbing, out of touch, vile, disgusting... you get the idea.

Sure. What would you like me to say? Trump's policies are having the desired effect. That's a policy win for him and those that voted for him.

Also, just so YOU know, Donald Trump REALLY hates you, and is currently laying the foundation for an American authoritarian state. Hopefully he is either too inept to take advantage of it, or those that voted for him wake up in time to mobilize and put a stop to it. You also completely avoided discussing my last post and pivoted to the above. I mostly agree with you here. It remains to be seen what the effects are, and I hope that it goes better than many expect. Less people are being deported today than under Biden. But if it makes you feel good to believe otherwise, go for it.

This is not indicative of anything other than coordinated Democratic messaging. The Republicans do it. Your company does it. If you have a wife and kids, you do it at home. I am surprised you think this is some kind of evidence.

To me, the tariffs are less concerning than some of the other things going on. If Trump holds true to form and the tariffs fail miserably, the outcry will probably get him to reverse the decision, especially if he's getting an earful from Wall St. It will take a lot longer for the fallout and public outcry to surface in the wake of many of his other actions, especially from his voters. By that time, too much damage may have been done to easily reverse.

Given Trump's behavior over the last 10 years, on the campaign trail, and in office, there is abundant evidence that he favors traditional foes of the US and has been, to put it nicely, standoffish with traditional allies. Are you just saying you are okay with that without actually coming out and stating it?

Does it bother you at all, as a man that has sworn an oath to defend the US Constitution, that our elected leader seems eager to align himself more with historical foes, as opposed to historical allies? Do you see any of his authoritarian tendencies?

I don't think so; it's a Catholic thing. And of course, according to weepaws, Catholics are all going to hell because they aren't Christians in the right way. See, you have to be in the correct sect of Christianity to be invited to heaven. Being a good person doesn't matter unless you do it according to the fine print that only his cult is aware of. I struggle to think of a single thing Mump has done in office that didn't somehow benefit Vlad Putin. He couldn't be doing a better job if he was a Russian asset. But of course, that's impossible.
