  1. PM me. I'll send you a few cans of Minnesota's finest!
  2. You're right. 2 minute penalty!
  3. Follow my logic here, gentlemen. Perhaps no one has really changed much, and in reality we have just become less likely to engage in thoughtful discussion due at least partially to the miasma of outrage porn we all ingest on a daily basis. Maybe we are just reflecting broad changes in our society. I've only been here a few years, so everything I've experienced here is through the TDS lens (and I mean that as a condition that afflicts everyone in this country that pays any attention, whether pro- or anti- Trump) of reductive statements, gross generalizations, and discussions that are more about scoring points, gotcha's, and domination than about discourse. Maybe if we all dial it back just a wee bit... But whathefuckdoIknow? It's Friday, let's talk about can size!

Not sure if you listen to KFAN, but yesterday Barreiro had a former US Attorney on his show talking about this (can't remember his name). Basically the assumption is that the DFL were too scared of being called racists to investigate. The Feeding Our Future group that was at the heart of a lot of the fraud actually filed some lawsuits at one point that essentially argued that any investigations into them were racist in intent. This is one of many reasons I'm not a Democrat despite leaning left. If you're trying to enforce policy or law, you will be called a racist. That's not a reason for failing to do the right things. I've managed people for a long time. One absolute truism I've encountered: If you have black subordinates (other minorities also, but to a far lesser extent IME), you will inevitably be called a racist at some point. It happened to me THIS WEEK. Do your work with integrity and transparency and those allegations are meaningless. DFL cowards.
  5. In my world, MDC is shorthand for Millions of Dead Cops. They're decent, not one of my favorites but have a few killer songs. This one springs to mind, since every time I hear it now I think "there's Geeks that probably literally believe the lyrics describe a typical liberal household."
  6. Thanks. That's almost as cool, I guess. Forgot how good that show was!

Kash Patel will be confirmed today!

MO only reads things based on key words. If BIDEN, PEDO, or TRANNY isn't in the headline, he can't comprehend it.
  8. And they're straight, don't live in the city, are employed, not on any kind of assistance, were born in the US (but not in the city), and vote Republican.
  9. MAGA: That doesn't matter! Can't you see he's black?!?
  10. Well then the failure extends to the org he works for, as well. His producers should have been all over that statement.
  11. I did. And I'll do it again. Also, out of curiosity, is your moniker the acronym for an old hardcore band's name starting with Millions?
  12. Then he damn well shouldn't have reported it. While I strongly feel that MAGA animosity toward MSM is unjustified and mostly a result of decades of gaslighting by right wing media, this is a legitimate example of why so many don't trust them. Tapper's a "journalist." He should care about getting the facts right.
  13. Me too. Lighten up some, Gutter. Jerry is far more thoughtful and respectful than the average conservative poster in this place, but you continually disregard that. You comparing him to peefoam is absurd. Everybody hates peefoam. I like Jerry, despite his grossly misguided political views.
  14. Is the Bible a textbook? Has it been peer-reviewed and thoroughly vetted for inaccuracies? No, in fact it was written about people that lived years, decades or even centuries prior. I accept that there are many important truths in the Bible, valid lessons on morality and how to treat your fellow man. But it in this case to use it as a reference is a cowardly cop-out by the student. College is supposed to be about expanding one's understanding. If you just fall back on religion and refuse to engage with subject matter that challenges your beliefs, not only do you not belong in college, you're probably close-minded. FFS, even seminary teaches subject matter that challenges student's beliefs.
  15. Wow. I remember spring of 2006 I think I was living in San Diego and visited Phoenix for a week. We had snow on the mountains east of SD, blizzard conditions when I drove through. Went camping in the desert west of Phx a few days later and the desert was blooming for the first time in forever. Grass and flowers all over the place. Super cool to see. I miss the southwest. SD looked like this
  16. It's good that you can see both sides, I guess. I tend to think that using the Bible as a reference source in a college Psychology class is absurd, but then again I don't really care.

You are on ignore. @Mr Fantasy quoted you saying (shocking!) untrue things about me. I saw an opportunity to respond while also insulting you, so like any self respecting Geek, I took it. Knowing you would respond again, I looked at your next post, which presented yet another opportunity for a cheap shot at you, which is basically the only thing you're good for around here. Now kindly fock all the way off and stop following me around looking for attention.

    Can't Afford Health Insurance

Not what I said. Just refuting that the point of the bill was the end result. It wasn't. I'm not defending ACA or the Dems on this one.

What makes a good movie or TV Show?

I answered your question. I just felt like giving you some shlt beforehand.

No it didn't. Obama made the critical error of attempting to involve the R's in his signature piece of legislation, to which they raised a collective middle finger. In fact, the individual mandate was based on Republican framework created in response to Hillary Clinton's attempts to overhaul healthcare in Clinton's first term. At that time, even Newt Gingrich supported it. But then Obama Satan got it pushed through, and suddenly all the R's were allergic to their own plan.
