I had a good beard going last year and went on a 2 week vacation/bender featuring dudes only, many rock concerts, camping and off-roading. To commemorate the occasion, I shaved my beard in a non-traditional manner (i.e. silly) for yuks. Once I got home, I shaved my face clean to go back to work. Life went on like normal. Now I am growing the beard out again, and the areas on my chin only (not upper lip/mustache) that I didn't shave for my vaca have come back completely white. It was salt and pepper before. It was a little startling at first, but I have come to accept that I look like I have a baby skunk on my chin. At least it's symmetrical, and the ladies love being tickled by it.

I am not nor have I ever been interested in defending the shitty things Biden did. I am not a Democrat, and never wanted him or Kamala in the WH for any reason other than they were not Trump. We have established that you and I are not going to agree on things like Donald Trump's actual criminality, or Democratic weaponization of DOJ, and that's fine. But holding up an example of what Biden did with student loans (which I disagreed with overall) to what Trump is doing now just does not compute with me. Trump is bashing at key governmental departments and systems with a sledgehammer, which in many cases he likely does not have the authority to do. Much of what he claims he is doing is laudable. Nobody likes waste/fraud in government. The issue, again, is how he is going about it, and what consequences will arise. No other POTUS has ever done anything remotely close to it. If one honestly cares about separation of powers, legality, checks and balances, etc. Trump's actions are pretty damn hard to defend. Which is why, mostly, people are just throwing around whatabouts. That's why I appreciated @Hot Rod's posts (assuming he's not just trolling). Because they were honest. He seemingly understands where we're headed. I think a great many Trump voters have not come to that realization yet, and when they do I hope they are intellectually honest enough to admit that either they were wrong for voting for him, or that ultimately they feel that having an authoritarian leader is worth it to combat those dirty libs.

I am a liberal. Everything bolded above is untrue, or at best, a gross, generalized, massive over-exaggeration. You simply cannot paint tens of millions of individuals with such a broad brush if you wish to be taken seriously. This would be the same as claiming all Trump voters are racists, which clearly they are not. I assume and appreciate that you are approaching this with good faith, so I will leave it at that.

You know as well as I do that this argument is disingenuous. We both know and understand that there is nothing in US history remotely comparable to what Trump is doing now. So throwing around Biden whatabouts is just a convenient way of dodging a discussion of the issues. Many, many issues.

It really is fascinating, and an amazing time to be following politics. I just wish the stakes weren't so high and the potential costs so dire.

WGAF what Biden did? Can you guys defend Trump on his own actions, like ever? Got any links for these claims? What records did the judge want destroyed, exactly? I find it very telling that these interpretations of executive power have suddenly sprung up after Trump came into office. If Biden, or worse, Obama, had attempted any of the shlt Trump is now, you'd be in a padded cell right now (assuming you aren't already). None of this is constitutional, and you are an authoritarian that's too dumb to realize it.
