Elon Musk is reportedly considering buying MSNBC from Comcast‼️
Fnord replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
I've said similar many times. Your well documented reading comprehension issues and aversion to absorbing facts running contrary to your beliefs are your problem here. -

This thread reminds me of how grateful I am to have grown up in the 80s/90s and not today. Childhood today is sterile and boring, and the kids are still more focked up than we were. Lots of valuable lessons were learned outside of adult supervision. Lessons kids today might never learn. -

NOBODY talks about trannies more than you. It's obviously an obsession, something that is close to your heart, or loins. NTTAWWT. Which party is "mine" again? I've never belonged to a political party. I consider them corrupt, given that they never work for the betterment of the people, only the power of the party. -
Sure, keep dodging. I'm used to it.

Not only do you never support your own ludicrous, out-of-left-field posts with links, but you can't comprehend the links others attached to theirs. Why exactly are you a BIG DEAL AROUND HERE again? You are as useless as t!ts on a boar, as the old farmers like to say.

The summer after I turned 8, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. My dad was working full time and going to school. He was gone from about 5:00am - 7:00pm every weekday, and for 8-10 hours every weekend day, even Sundays. My mom spent about 8 weeks in the hospital that summer in a different city. For at least half of that, I was home alone all day, reporting in to our neighbor when I left the house. Best summer of my life prior to having a license. Luckily, moms came through it okay. -
Thank you for this. That video was taken while Nancy was being taken away from the Capitol on J6, correct? Prior to the events, it was claimed the Trump requested 10k-20k NG troops be present. There is no evidence of that request being made to the military or NG, other than Trump's own claims. Military leadership has verified no such requests were received. Nancy Pelosi had no authority to void a NG request made by POTUS, as he is the CIC. Normally, governors can call up NG within their own states, but DC is its own entity, so the MD governor did not have the authority, either. Pelosi IS in charge of the House Sergeant at Arms, and McConnell in charge of the Senate Sergeant at Arms. Those two Sgts sit on the Capitol Police Board (CPB), which also had authority to request NG help. Prior to the events of the day, it was turned down, due to "optics." This was not a decision made by Pelosi or McConnell, but by the CPB. FFWD to the riot selfie fest. Once a small minority of the crowd became violent and breached the Capitol, many lawmakers, R and D, called Trump for NG assistance to quell the riot, as they did not have authority to dispatch them. Trump could have done so at any time. White House counsel Pat Cippollone testified that Trump did nothing. First hand reports from the WH that day claim Trump was almost gleeful while watching it play out. His indifference as to the safety of his Vice President is well known. Trump did get on the phone with some lawmakers during the attack, but reports indicate those conversations were about delaying the vote, not securing NG help for Capitol Police. What you see in that video is Pelosi acting like a leader should: taking responsibility for not being more proactive. That is absolutely on her and McConnell. However, what happened once the riot began is 100% on Donald Trump. Any other CIC would have been on the phone instantly. He did nothing but watch it happen.

I care far less about trannies than you do. Like 99% of the human population. I'm happy to have a conversation, but when you start by telling me what I support, I'll just tell you to fuk off. You're always wrong when you do that, and not worth correcting since you are incapable of absorbing new information unless it fits nicely into your narrow world view. -
Normally you wouldn't get a conservative to even CLICK on a NYT opinion piece. Now a single op-ed is not only a confession, but also a manifesto for the entire leftist MSM. I would say it's unbelievable, but that, like many similar terms, are essentially lost to a reality that seems anything but.

Mother arrested for letting child walk to the store
Fnord replied to Strike's topic in The Geek Club
If only it was limited to this. I'm sure every generation says "kids today are different" but it's never been more true. Kids today are being sheltered from the real world in favor of the virtual (screens, games, social media, youtube, etc.). They are used to being perpetually watched and told what to do, used to having instant gratification, and have little need to remember anything or learn how to do things for themselves. They assume they can do whatever they set their mind to because in the virtual reality in which they spend their time, there is always a reset, cheat, or dopamine payoff. When they discover they actually cannot do what they assume they can, they get mad. After all, real life doesn't pay off nearly as consistently as the virtual. -
Sorry, boss. You're flat out wrong. Pelosi did not have the power to do it, Trump did. And refused. According to your own words, that is treasonous. Why do you keep avoiding this? Because it's (D)ifferent?

Well thank God that's over. There are quite a few insufferable koonts around here. OM is FAR from the worst. A couple of those engaging in badgering her easily surpass the general population in koontiness by several standard deviations. Welcome to the GC: Where you don't need one to be one! -
DJT sat in the dining room of the white house for several hours watching the events unfold on 1/6. He could have called in the NG himself, but did not. If he wanted them there, they would have been dispatched. That is a perfect example of an elected official preventing the federal government from doing their job, which you argue "could be seen as treason. I'm ok with that." Based solely on these facts, if you are being intellectually consistent and honest, you believe Trump committed treason. If you can point to me calling out Republicans for doing things for which I support Democrats doing, I'd love to see those posts. "Lawfare" doesn't count, since I do not believe any of the charges against Trump were unwarranted. Have at it.

My love of the irony MAGA heaps upon me daily is well known, so I appreciate the new nickname. I'm glad that I entertain you, after all why else are we here? But you do keep avoiding the question I'm asking. I would wonder why, but I already know. MAGA are going to have a helluva time defending their choice in leadership without being gigantic hypocrites. Yours is just the first of what I expect to be a torrent of GC posts that are idealistically incompatible. In fact, claiming that elected officials preventing the federal government from doing their job should be seen as treason, while conveniently ignoring Trump's role in the events of 1/6/21, is an absolutely perfect example. Thank you! But since your guy is the one running the (shlt)show, you're cool with it. Don't worry. You'll be in the MAGA majority of shedding beliefs to support a narcissistic plutocrat. It will be normal, probably even a badge of honor, in the near term.

Who is King Irony, and what is his (their?) opinion? I didn't offer an opinion, if you're referring to me. I asked you to restate your thoughts on the events of 1/6/21, which was sparked by this statement:

Based on Phil's definition, I'm a liberal, not a leftist. I'm comfortable with that. You won't catch me doing deep dives into the world of transsexualism like you do, but to each their own. -

Love it. Deal. With the stipulation that we call each other out for violating said deal. Not that that will ever happen with two refined gentlemen like us. -
