U.S. Military and boat strikes thread - Hegseth will not release the full unedited video of second boat strike
Fnord replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
You'll notice the carefully hedged language being used here. Lots of "ifs" and "woulds" as opposed to "did's" and "are's" This is how well-measured, balanced responses are worded. Then compare it to everything DJT says, which is typically worded in untrue absolutes, with no reference or deference to investigation, enforcement, or legality. The Don is unfit. I look forward to the impeachment proceedings. -
You thinking that's brilliant is just another example of your stupidity.

Perfect specimen for the Dunning-Kruger effect. -
SUBSCRIPTION: the action of making or agreeing to make an advance payment in order to receive or participate in something. PRESCRIPTION: an instruction written by a medical practitioner that authorizes a patient to be provided a medicine or treatment. I'll pass on a SUBSCRIPTION to your newsletter. It's a PRESCRIPTION for idiocy.

🇺🇸Father Trump Talk-🚨The Official Thread of MAGA🚨 Quiet, piggy!
Fnord replied to HellToupee's topic in The Geek Club
Haven't I schooled your ass on this already, liar? I do not work in HR. I am a HIRING MANAGER for my department. I do not participate directly in patient care, but support literally every area that does. I'm not looking for recognition; it's you dipshits that keep bringing this up, thoroughly exposing yourselves as ignorant partisans. I'm just correcting the record. Your inability to register facts is not my problem. However, you making up lies about me does kinda rub me the wrong way. I am now feeling vindicated for putting you on ignore before your suspension and will happily return you to that status. Have a great holiday season, good luck finding your humanity. -
Welp, I've never subscribed to the philosophy of "those that can't do, teach" but I am now reconsidering my position.

Would you vote for a politician that thinks young people are stupid?

I'm damn near 50, and am less conservative than I was 20 years ago. Are you calling me stupid? That's a rhetorical question. -

It was actually kinda cool to have a bunch of snow over the weekend. First time in a very long time I can remember having snow on the ground over Thanksgiving weekend. Last time I remember that happening for sure was late 90s/early 00's. God willing, it means spring will be early and weather nice by early/mid April. -
I'll take that under consideration. Conversely, you could dial back some of your own rhetoric. I'll take the under on the chances of either of these things happening.

This is a trick. EVERYONE thinks young people are stupid, except the young people. Then they grow up and realize how stupid they were while their kids run amok. Rinse, repeat. -
Those are the same property tax rates I'm paying living well outside the metro area, but in a city. Property taxes in MN suuuuuck. Walz is toast. All the fraud occurring under his watch is insane. It might be time for us to elect a Republican governor, as long as they aren't some MAGA nut.

No. I mean ham. Welcome back.
-
Ham.

I failed in my endeavor to post on Thanksgiving, despite doing basically nothing all day. Oh well.

I have a filthy mouth. It's a struggle keeping the cusses from flying at work. I wouldn't even venture a guess about how many swears I roll out in a day. 100+?
-
Dammit.

Ouch. That sux. That photo is similar to what I had, but looks better because I have no artistic talent.
-
Now THAT was amusing. Thank you.

FAMILY FUED What can a 7 year old do that an 87 year old cannot do ?

Then what's the point of the thread? AMUSE ME, DAMMIT! -
All of my ticket stubs are pre-2000's... The most recent one I MIGHT have is Fleetwood Mac, which I saw in San Diego in 2003, or maybe Prince from Vegas in 2007. And I haven't seen those stubs in at least 10 years. I used to have one of those cork boards hanging on my wall with all my ticket stubs tacked to it in a collage. It was really cool but I took it apart to move over 20 years ago and never put it back up (cuz of my stupid ex!). I recently moved again but haven't come across the stub stash.

Yup. To poor kids like me, that was a high falutin' meal! And the steak sure was delicious when you didn't know any better.
