I used to believe this, but you are FOS. I appreciate that you're not an aggressive pr!ck like many of your ideological brethren around here, but you are nowhere near as intellectually consistent and honest as you would have us all believe. You are right, though. I am bound by ideology. But the ideology is right vs. wrong, more freedom vs. less, and not being bound to either party. Because the GOP has gone full-on batshit crazy, I'm forced to vote for Democrats. I wasn't kidding that I would happily sign up for a Walz/Vance ticket over what we currently have. My current rep is a Republican that I actually like. I've had a couple of decent email exchanges with him. I would happily vote for him if he weren't MAGA.

Clooney isn't running shlt. If he was the Dems would probably be in a much better place. The DNC is a dumpster fire and has been since at least the mid-80s. I have a few times. Always while listening to excellent music under the influence of marijuana. Typically while visiting someplace or doing something spectacular. I've also had a couple of extremely close calls in which a tiny difference in timing or space would have resulted in catastrophic injury or death, yet I have been completely unscathed. Nothing about any of those experiences lead me to believe Donald Trump was anything other than cosmically lucky. I cannot disparage someone's faith in a higher power. But my experiences are mine, and yours are yours. How we interpret them is personal, and we gain what we choose to gain from them.
