HORRIFYING!!! Aren't you one of those that decries the pvssification of America? What's so horrifying? Or are you, Horseman of a thousand aliai, in fact a big pvssy yourself? -
If you could assure me that Vance would be POTUS instead of Trump, I'd happily leave the top of my ballot blank. It would be a relief.

You answered your own question. Other than the few true agitators in the crowd, there was no plan other than for Pence to deny certification. When he refused, the only thing that could be done was to start murdering him and other lawmakers. Thankfully that didn't happen. -

This has, against all logic, turned into a decent thread. I appreciate that. Direct message to @jerryskids, @RLLD, @jbycho, among others. No, I do not think most believe that those that infiltrated the Capitol on 1/6 were there to, or had any chance of, "overthrowing" the government. They were there as a desperate last-ditch attempt to delay certification while team Turnip grasped at legal straws to steal the election. They failed, and have paid the price for it. The guy who inspired it, not so much. -

I haven't the slightest idea what point you're attempting to make. The first line has nothing to do with the conversation Jon and I were having, and it's also bs. Plenty of people are socially liberal but fiscally conservative. You can stuff the 1/6 and summer 2020 comps. Riots and destruction are bad. Attempting to disrupt the peaceful transition of power after a duly certified election via riots and destruction is treasonous. I don't expect you to get it, unless of course Democrats do the same thing next year if Trump gets elected. At which point it will be the worst thing that's ever happened to the country, and evidence that it's time to start rounding up libs for reeducation. Can you share a quote where I've said I'm a moderate? I'm liberal. I hate the Democratic party. I don't like Harris or Biden. But that doesn't mean I won't vote for Harris when the other choice is the biggest POS in American politics, which is saying something. Welcome to the Geek Club, new poster. -

Longest post I've seen you make without the term 'bootlicker.' Nice. I agree with much of what you say here. The reality is that we will never be able to walk that stuff back. Technology will not allow it. Yes, it sucks. But until folks delete their SM accounts, remove Alexa from their homes, throw away their smart phones, disconnect the GPS in their vehicles, start paying cash for everything, and deal with the massive inconveniences that those steps entail, nothing will get better. The government doesn't need to spy on citizens, we willingly tell corporations everything about us. To the bolded: you can believe this to be fact, but that does not make it so. We aren't going to change each other's minds about it, but it is beyond absurd to me to think the Turnip won't go after his adversaries. He has shown the willingness to use every tool at his disposal to wield that power against his enemies, and now has even more freedom to do so thanks to numbskull decisions by USSC. Despite what you want to believe, there is nothing but circumstantial evidence that Biden has done the same. And if you want us to believe that you don't loathe everyone that doesn't feel exactly like you do about these issues, dial back the rhetoric. You make blanket statements regularly that undermine that position, and I have doubts about the veracity of your claims to the contrary. You come off as irrationally angry and hateful. -

Pro tip: distrusting every person in every single institution that makes our country livable turns you into an antisocial freak. Do you not realize that your friends and neighbors work for some of those organizations? Why didn't you include the Police and DOJ above? Do you know any cops? Are they all into destroying your freedom, or are they normal people living their lives? How do you propose to eliminate these institutions? What do you think happens if you're successful? You see malice everywhere, in everything. Sorry your life experiences have led you to that conclusion, but that's not the world I live in. Is there corruption in those institutions? Yes. Are they overrun with people that hate you and everything about America? Is every employee a mindless slave? No. Not even close. I used to be into conspiracy theories. I spent years believing many of the same things you do. But then I realized that most people are like me. They just want to be left alone to live their lives, to do what's best for themselves and their kids, and don't really GAF about what others do, as long as it's not interfering with their lives. Maybe someday you'll figure that out. Until then, I'll keep calling you a fascist and a terrorist, because that's how you come off. You're no better than a radical muslim that wants everything to burn. You're probably worse, because you pretend you actually want a better nation, while hating half the population and hoping for a reckoning. -

There have been scientific studies that show conservatives are much more susceptible to authoritarianism. That's why you love Trump. Fascist. -

This describes most social media users across the world. Like @OldMaid said, the algorithms just keep showing them what they want, what they believe, what gets them going. Everyone living in their safe little echo chamber, forever and ever, amen. -

Thanks. I feel like there is probably a lot of information that people on site aren't privy to, but when your whole world has just been smashed, tensions run high and anything can be grudgingly misperceived. I feel bad for those going through it and hope FEMA is doing right by them. -

I'm not arguing. I'm not going to assume he's lying; maybe he is. But I'm curious about perceptions of what's going on and if he's actually been on site in affected areas I wanna hear about it. -

Frustrating. Is it possible that the FEMA workers were trying to help in that they have some sort of aid distribution infrastructure already in place? -

I live in MN. Blizzards are tough and power can go out for days. I'd like a generator! I wonder why Turnip only wants to give generators out in states he's expecting to win? -

Can you elaborate on what you've seen, other than what you have already posted? What specifically is going on that makes you think the government and FEMA are actively working AGAINST the rescue efforts? -

So now Trump is just promising free shlt? IIRC, that's only something the dirty socialist Democrats do. -
Blank, similar to your reasoning skills. Thanks for the note.
