Anybody Getting Their Hands on Trump Bible?

    Au contraire, @thegeneral
  2. THEY must be based in the upper midwest. Weather here has been spectacular!

What other message boards are you on?

This is the exclusive home of Fnord. If I was on any others the therapy bills would bankrupt me.

It's national pet obesity awareness day.

Seems redundant when the thread is started by peefoam.

If either of these two was my pet, I'd put them down out of kindness, obese or not.

Anybody Getting Their Hands on Trump Bible?

The bot farm won't pay him if he doesn't keep posting. I mean, a rich black guy living on Hilton Head needs to pay for that flood insurance somehow!
  7. If one does not like corporate welfare, one might want to rethink voting for Trump. Of course, one would need to be capable of some sort of internal reflection to reach that conclusion, which you are obviously not. Just keep watching Tucker, he will validate all of your feelings for you.
  8. Yes. Expectations of those affected are frequently unrealistic, at least regarding what FEMA is capable of. You must have missed where I said I had some experience with this. I didn't say anything about insurance companies; that's a whole separate boondoggle that I definitely have opinions about. Probably similar to yours.
  9. Also lacking Maddow's journalistic bona fides. Just sayin.
  10. They're fine when taken for what they are. MAGA thinks they're the news, the Bible, and a comprehensive policy guide combined.
  11. Glad you brought up the military because the quote "no battle plan survives contact with the enemy" is adroit in disaster prep as well. And the military is usually dealing with military issues. A natural disaster is probably a tougher logistical operation than most combat. Why is it that people bltch about FEMA every time there's a disaster regardless of who is in charge? Because they don't understand the complexity of what is being done, and have unrealistic expectations about their capabilities. I notice a distinct lack of understanding of complex and nuanced issues amongst MAGA. Your information gathering and dissemination is limited to tag lines and memes. Not you though. You're smart.
  12. I don't know, maybe once all of us have neuro-fitted cell phones and/or telepathy? Why don't you tell me how a few dozen organizations, all under different leadership with different missions arriving at different times and places should all coordinate? Especially given that top priorities are not administrative; you need boots on the ground moving across unfamiliar territory. Every disaster is different and a template only goes so far. Why can't Musk land Starlink stuff? There's almost always a good reason that he's either not aware of or is purposely not mentioning. I'm sure the world's richest and second most egomaniacal human can't fathom being told no, for one thing. There was a sensitive rescue operation underway, or supplies needed to be delivered, or an "important person" was en route. Potential reasons are endless. It's not like the government told him to fuk off; they still got their Starlink. It's not Mayorkas' fault that FEMA is running out of money. Talk to congress about that. Or those bastards running the weather machine that keeps cranking out storms to make politicians look bad. If one has never been a part of something like that they have no concept of how complicated it is.
  13. It would be pretty funny if a bunch of losers lost a fuk-ton of cash betting on Trump based on Elon's tweets. Sorta like those sad bastards that bought Trump Media stock. Fools and their money...
  14. Seems like a poor business decision then. This is how it is supposed to work. Owner of the company gets too political, turns off his customer base, loses business. It has nothing to do with censorship, and is actually the opposite; people are speaking with their pocketbooks. Free market in it's purest form.
  15. Umm, he is also going bankrupt and his distribution is all focked up, so he hasn't been fulfilling orders. You think Walmart cares who he votes for? Ask the Walton family who they're voting for, it's probably Trump.
  16. It was vape cartridges. She made a very stupid mistake. But she was arrested for leverage and grossly overcharged for something that allegedly the Russian government knows goes on and typically ignores. But she was a high value target, so 9 years in prison it is! I don't think prisoner exchanges should be second guessed in most cases. I'm pretty sure the government is well aware of the implications, and I'd rather not have American citizens rotting in Russian gulags.
  17. Here's a good tip: If you want real news, avoid cable news networks and social media. LOL at the guys thinking MSNBC is somehow worse than Fox, OAN, or Newsmax.

Have you ever read the Talmud?

Those are not laws, they are just statements from the Talmud. There are plenty of entries in the bible that look pretty perverse from a modern perspective as well. I would like to think that those following the word of the Talmud aren't doing it literally, just like Christians are no longer stoning people (in America, anyway). Moral of the story: Extremism in ALL RELIGIONS sucks!
  19. This thread is gross. I have some experience with large scale disaster response. You have FEMA, Red Cross, National Guard, state/county/local first responders and law enforcement and ignorant do-gooders all arriving on site simultaneously. Not to mention politicians and journalists. Thousands of residents have had their lives thrown into turmoil. They have huge, legitimate problems and need serious help. The size of the operation is immense, and all of these people and agencies are not in constant communication with each other. It is extremely confusing and complicated. Those of you that think any large organizations are purposely making things worse for those affected can seriously GFY. If you are that convinced that everyone is a hateful worm intent on nothing more than political malfeasance or personal enrichment then you are a lost soul that has allowed cynicism and hate to take over your life. You are demonizing those trying to help, and you are making that help harder to obtain for those that need it. I can only hope none of you ever have to go through something like that yourselves to open your eyes to the reality that these organizations are trying to help. They are not perfect. They will not solve every problem. They will not save everyone. But things would be far, far worse without them there. Life is complicated, not a focking X meme.
  20. This was also reported by the NY Times.

What concerts do you have coming up?

I think they played one, but it was not the one I was expecting and hoping for. I was pretty drunk, so don't take my word for it.
  22. I stated upthread that I don’t have any good answers. Basically no one can be trusted with that power, especially those that would want it.

    Downfall of mainstream media

What're ya gonna do when he loses? Protest? Sky scream more than you already do? Try to bomb some government buildings? Or maybe just jump right into killing some libs? You're a fuking psychopath. Much, MUCH, closer to the brownshirt philosophy than I, but again, too fuking dumb to realize it. And if Trump does somehow win by cheating, you'll defend every fascist, violent, illegal, anti-constitutional thing he does with vim and vigor because you're an easily influenced hate sponge. Seek help.

    VP Debate: Vance vs Walz

I would have guessed he was gargling them with a nice effeminate white wine. Riesling maybe?
