  1. Hell yeah! That's the first name I thought of too. I remember when Alstott and Brees played at Purdue and I loved both of them even though they regularly smoked Minnesota. Then I continued loving both of them even though they were prolific Viking killers. If you're old enough to remember the Joe Gibbs/ Dan Henning/ Joe Bugel Redskins, their offense was a beautiful thing. Can't believe more teams don't try to emulate that today.

    Here come the tariffs

    What's this now? For TOURISTS?
  3. Has Jason Whitlock always been a whackjob? I thought I recalled him being an enjoyable sports reporter/ talking head at one point, but I may have confused him with another DEI talking head. I'll skip the video. This is an interesting point. We've already seen teams "revert" back to the run game at a higher % this season than in the recent past. I'm anticipating a time in the next couple years in which a few teams move to heavier personnel more regularly. The FB might be sort of an outdated term, I'm thinking more of the versatile Gibbs-type H-Back that can play all over the field blocking, catching and occasionally even running. Mixing a couple guys like that into the offense while the defense is playing dime with smaller personnel could wreak some havoc.
  4. You were quoted by someone NOT on ignore, genius. Know what'll get me to stop talking about you though? Going away again for a good long while. That'll get me to shut up. At least until someone starts discussing the bored's biggest pr1cks. Either that or stop being such an intolerable dooshbag POS, which I suspect is so deeply engrained that it's a hopeless endeavor. Anyone that would post a focking swastika here is beyond help.

Death Pool Update: Gil Gerard at 82...

Man I loved watching Buck Rogers repeats when I was a kid. I'm guessing I'd think it was garbage if I saw it today, but many fond memories. RIP Gil.
  6. You're telling this to @Horsemanure, which @JuneJuly is an alias of. He's one of the few "people" here that can go toe-to-toe with HT in raw inhumanity and fuckery. This is the guy that openly rooted for the LA fires, pissed off Old Maid enough for her to leave, and posted a swastika on the forum. Actually, he's worse than HT, who may actually care about someone other than himself deep down. Horsemanure is a legit waste of carbon and oxygen.
  7. I know. But like I said, nobody is going to gain much ground on me with the religion argument. I despise the three main ones more or less equally and while I acknowledge the reformations and the differences they brought about, it's all still bullshit from my perspective. Anyone willing to kill over their faith is a POS.
  8. I wouldn't go that far, some groups should absolutely be treated differently. No issues with that. What I object to is the consistent grouping of large populations of people together that have little in common other than place of origin, skin color, or religion and ascribing the actions of a few freaks in that cohort to the entire group. Like, yaknow, calling all R's racists or all D's pedos. I'll also point out, at the risk of ruining a good run of not mentioning Voldemort, that the current admin has zero interest in the Branch Davidian types, and has aligned budgets and priorities accordingly. Essentially as far as they're concerned, there is no such thing as domestic right wing terrorists.
  9. Is this a good time for the game of Guess dey color? This crap was rampant in NorCal (and the vast majority of folks in the area I lived in vote R, for what it's worth). 75% of the folks seen at the clinic I worked at were on Medi-Cal. I know for absolute fact that a bare minimum of 25% of them were making large amounts on the side, either as laborers or pot growers/harvesters/clippers. To the point where I knew multiple people that were likely worth well into 7 figures that were getting free medical care. That pissed me off. But hey, at least their weed was good. And CHEAP!
  10. Sure. But we can find examples of wayward religious freaks of every stripe willing to kill for their ideals the whole world over. And these types tend to congregate together, do they not?
  11. Thank you for the clarification. I did not mention Dearborn, that was someone else, but my community has a history of opening its arms to immigrants, so there are some similarities. I actually employ some first generation American kids from east African Muslim immigrants, as well as several folks that immigrated themselves. Now obviously my employer has SOME standards (insert insult directed at me here), so it is unlikely I would encounter an openly militant zealot at work. What I see is assimilation, to varying degrees. I do not go home with them, so I suppose there is a nonzero chance that they are plotting to blow up my hospital and murder everyone within it. But I choose to believe that is not the case and am confident in my safety. You're good people Jerry. Thanks for the convo. You too @Mark Davis.
  12. Oh good. The second biggest waste of bytes on the bored is back. And so is Horsemanure's third alias in my ignore list. Welcome back, and kindly GFY violently.
  13. I said specifically in my post that some of those people are bad, with bad intentions. I know you can't show me every Muslim is that way, because, as you admit, they are not. Just like I cannot assure you that they are all kind-hearted, hard-working straight shooters. But you and Jerry are still posting in a manner that essentially says "the religion is the problem" and when a group of adherents get together, they cannot assimilate. Now if I'm misinterpreting here, apologies. I understand you are not trying to be bigoted, which is why we're having a respectful back and forth, as my tolerance for real bigotry is zero. But lack of intention does not mean it isn't coming off that way. Again, JMHO. You also at least infer that "radical Islam" and just plain Islam are interchangeable, which I strongly disagree with. Being unwilling to sacrifice American lives is a great ideal to strive for. Natural born Americans commit more violent crimes than immigrants. That is also numeric and statistical fact. But we're not crusading against them, or everyone of the same ethnicity, religion, or culture as them. This is the crux of my argument. I think most organized religion is bullshit, so injecting that into the conversation isn't going to move me. It's just more likely to make me think someone is a bigot.
  14. Respectfully, no, it doesn't. Your "concentration of Muslims" argument is essentially the same as saying "wherever there's a few Muslims" IMO. Which is also farcical, as it does not take a concentration of anything for one or two zealots to plot an attack. Dude, just stop with this. You can hate Jerry's guts all you want and have all the opinions you'd like. I will judge folks based on how they interact with me primarily, then on how they interact with others. Again, respectfully, IDGAF about your opinion of Jerry, much like IDGAF about his opinion of you. I appreciate both of you as intelligent posters with disparate views. You're both pretty nasty to each other, and I want no part of it.
  15. I understand where you are coming from, but how about one of you produce a link showing us that every single Muslim immigrant is a violent adherent to Sharia law with no plans to assimilate, refuses to be a productive member of society, and will ultimately destroy our nation from within? Oh, you can't? Yeah, I know that's snarky AF, but this whole argument is absurd. YES, some of these immigrants are bad people with bad intentions committing crimes. Most are not. I live in a community with many of these people, I work with them. I'm very fond of some of them, they work hard, they're pleasant people, they have families to support, and they have, in fact, assimilated. TO BE VERY CLEAR: I do NOT think you two are bigots, but what you're saying here is highly bigoted. Most of these people experienced violence and despair in their home countries that we cannot fathom as Americans. This nation was created for them. Right down to the freedom to practice the religion of their choice. I don't expect stupid focks like HT or seafoam to understand it. But you're better than them.
  16. Dude, this one's on you for not having that miserable little fuckstick on ignore.

I was wrong about the Deep State!

If by "passionate" you mean raging assh0le. Agree with him all you want, he's too dumb to realize he has become what he claims to hate. Witness SID gently schooling him and his reaction to it. I look at him as a cautionary tale of what our current political climate and internet radicals can do to someone.
  19. Dammit. I finally watched Stand By Me with my 13-yr old son Saturday. I pity any American boy of that age that hasn't seen the film, and have never encountered one that didn't love it, or relate to it. Found out the Director of it was dead almost immediately after finishing it. Sucks.
  20. Equality and freedom of speech, religion, and assembly are also rights our founding fathers enshrined. Some of the solutions you're proposing are just as large an infringement on individual rights as "taking away our guns." I own a gun and am pro 2A. I also greatly value of our other freedoms and prefer none be taken away, especially based on reactionary anger in the aftermath of a horrible incident that didn't happen here.

    Minnesota

Well some of them definitely are. I'm just happy I don't live in the TC anymore and the town I live in is far enough away that hopefully we don't see similar occurrences here.

    Back Home, but departing again

I'd be interested in hearing more about your time over there, but since I'm "not salvageable" and "likely to murder people for my cult beliefs" I guess that won't be happening. Stay safe.
