Venezuela gangs take over parts of Aurora

He may also have watched Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, Saving Private Ryan and the Rambo series. Perhaps even Band of Brothers and Fury along with Inglorious Bastards. That is nearly tantamount to service in the eyes of some. If you add in Dirty Dozen, Great Escape, Guns of Navarone, Von Ryan's Express, To Hell and Back and a few others, well .... He may even have watched Combat and Rat Patrol, I know I did. -

I hear the Constitutionalist party gained access to the Colorado ballot this year so I could go in that direction. In fact I think they are now on ballots in over a dozen states. -

Can't even vote for the third party candidates this year. Cornell West, Chase Oliver, Jill Stein. They are as bad as Harris and Trump. Write in votes in Colorado are not counted unless the pereson voted for has filed an affidavit with the Secretary of State 110 days prior to the election that they will accept the niomination so tyhat is not a practical alternative. There is a nominal fee for so doing as I recall. I don't believe the Secretary of State releases the names of those filing affidavits, though I may be wrong as that makes little actual sense, legally. -

If you are out in rural america where homes may be miles apart no gas or electric company is going to run lines to your home. It is just not cost effective. You need an alternative. Fuel oil was the common alternative in the 50's and before, and several of those homes are still standing and will be for another century. Now those homes have propane and/or solar. Some even wind or micro-hydro, and a few heat with heat pumps in the ground. Hardcore Troubadour living in the Hudson Valley may be fairly rural and may well live in a home originally built 150 years ago. He may be miles from the nearest natural gas pipeline. -

When I was very young coal trucks would come to the homes around me. They would deliver coal through a chute in your home to a bin near your furnace. You then shoveled it into the furnace as needed. A few years later lots of folks upgraded to fuel oil. Tthe trucks would deliver to your home. They would pump the fuel oil into tanks in your home near the furnace, generally around where the coal bins use to be. Our home had two 1000 gallon tanks. That became very uncommon as new construction starting in the 60's and 70's had electric or gas furnaces and older neighborhoods were retrofitted for gaslines to gas furnaces. I have not seen an oil furnace in maybe 45 or 50 years. Still they are out there and are still around in the northeast in rural communities where gaslines would not be cost effective. Newer construction in such rural communities now also uses propane instead of fuel oil, propane delivered to a tank on your property by a truck. -
Did he claim it was awarded by the military or by his first grade teacher on his arithmatic test? Maybe this is just another nutty misunderstanding, like Tim Walz having grammar challenges.

I am surpirsed to find that there are still over 4 million U.S. homes using heating oil. -

I do not support using military dead as a backdrop to a campaign ad. Also, nice as wreaths are, I would rather see money donated to the Gold Star widows. Maybe next time he could quietly make a donation to Tunnels to Towers. My guess, though, is that he would only do so if they renamed it Tunnels to Trump Towers. -

LOL at the person who thought the Atlantic wall was meant to impede the Nazis from continuing to be dismissive of me. This is not the first time I have noticed your ignorant intolerance of anybody not in complete lockstep with your jaudiced view of the world. Pha Cough! -

A Nazi invasion? The Atlantic wall was intended to stop an Allied invasion. As for illegals, they understand how to climb and dig. The wall is no more efficacious than a fence or a painted borderline unless it is manned and defended. Screw the wall. Put up a fence line which goes up much faster and defend it with manpower and with drone surveillance to direct that manpower. -
