Trump birthday military parade debacle
Engorgeous George replied to Ron_Artest's topic in The Geek Club
People would wonder why you got stuck babysitting your drunken, irresponsible grandfather. I just may need to see whether we can make this happen. I do worry I might cramp your style as age has robbed my of the party impulse I once possessed. -
VIOLENCE is a Feature of the Left, not an Exception
Engorgeous George replied to EternalShinyAndChrome's topic in The Geek Club
What makes a study SERIOUS, that it reaches the conclusion you wish it to? How does one study represent every study? What if the study is conducted by folks with an agenda and that agenda found its way into the data supposedly being analyzed. Say the data was coded using standards which would exclude left leaning violence like arrest and prosecution figures. See lone wolf violence is likely to lead to arrest and prosecution while mob violence, the type which occurs at large sdcale protests allows most of the perpetrators to escape into the crowd. In the study you cite there is that potential. If you read the study rather than the article describing the abstract you might have found the data criterion which allows for exactly that. I include that criterion here ... To be included in the database, individuals have to meet at least one of the following criteria: arrested or indicted for illegal ideologically motivated offenses, killed because of their ideological activities, identified as a current or former member of a designated terrorist organization, or associated with an organization whose leader or founder was indicted for violent ideologically motivated offenses. Individuals meeting one or more of these criteria must also have been radicalized (primarily or entirely) within the United States and have a clear link between their criminal behavior and their ideological motive. Data were coded in several stages involving three waves of coding by a team of research assistants and full-time staff. The codebook is available at (39). As usual in your zeal you have so massively overstated your case as to really have no case. I personally believe the propensity for violence, an extension for a propensity to intolerance and poor impulse control to be more or less equally distributed across the political spectrum, though I have no university studies to support what is only my subjective belief. Of course I do not state my subjective beliefs as establishing 'the record" as you do for yours supported by shoddy social science research by folks with a clear agenda. -
Is this some sort of cajun euphemism I do not understand?

Lots of remote lake homes if he headed north. Many unoccupied much of the time but well provisioned. Also, fairly easy to get into the Boundary Waters and disappear. Hope they get this guy soon.

Trump birthday military parade debacle

Good point. I have never seen the Mardi Gras parade in N.O or the Mummers parade in Philly. Potentially those would change my mind.. I do suspect if i were to watch one with you, bunny, that I would end up so intoxicated I would only remember it from the police video of my arrest. -
Wow. All of a sudden some care about violence in the US.

Don't reason with it, dominate it! -
When I put 2 and 2 together I get 22.

Guy is shaping up to be an interesting amalgam. Seems there is a bit of something there for each side of the politcal spectrum to glom on to. Who knows what the next developments will be before this story is written in ink.

With the targets being lawmakers I would guess this is politically motivated. Now what politics that is remains to be determined. it may be partisan party politics. It may be strictly local issues effecting one person. Hell it could be they went along with adverse possession of his land, a non-partisan matter. It could be them agreeing to increase the fishing license fee or them ignoring his multiple requests to change the State flower. We will have a clearer picture soon enough.

Israel attacks Iran UPDATE: Trump claims a cease fire among all countries
Engorgeous George replied to Frozenbeernuts's topic in The Geek Club
Isreal could, as it thirsts for peace and security, cause Iran to thirst as well, but for water. Iran's drinking water infrastructure is quite vulnerable and they already suffer shortages without the systems being obliterated. This is not to encourage causing the people to die of thirst for the sins of their leaders. it is simply an observation on their incredible vulnerability for all of their posturing of invincibility. -

Quite the gunt on the fellow in red who passes the camera around 2 to 4 seconds in. -
I don't see this post as positively contributing to, well, anything.

Fake News story to follow. Minnesota authorities have advised all male strippers headed to bachelorette parties to dress as Firefighters rather than Police Officers until such time as the shooting suspect is apprehended.. Also, if they know of a member of their community with a grievance against the targeted lawmakers they are encouraged to provide the contact information to authorities. Stay safe Minnesota.

Would MLK be welcomed? How about BB, Albert, or Freddy? I could get behind prohibitions on Don King though I imagine he has passed away by now. -

Trump birthday military parade debacle

I have never found one worthwhile or entertaining. i have been inconvenienced by them. Mark me as someone who is not fond of parades. I do sometimes think back to the parades of my youth in small town America. Grade school marching bands poorly playing John Phillip Souza songs, old vets marching wearing uniforms which no longer button around their bellies, Shriners in fezes driving little cars trying to not run into each other as they have had too much libation, kids decorating their bike with red, white, and blue crepe paper and riding along at the end. We would attend and after I would wonder why. Now it might seem nostalgic. -

The distinction, if any, is lost I am sure on those rushing their children to bomb shelters in the dark of night and emerging to find their homes gone and their neighbors dead or maimed. Modern warfare has evolved. This is one of the many new faces of war. Some of the old faces certainly remain. -

Trump Announces Plans To Bring Back Fort ROBERT E. LEE

The subject has changed from that specific to the general topic of whether engagement with you is ever fruitful. You will perhaps notice that I rarely do engage you as it is evident to me that such efforts are not fruitful. I go now back to my default position in regards to you. -

Are the prevailing winds in israel more or less the same as here, meaning west to east. If so would not a nuke strike in israel have adverse sonsequences for Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and even Iran? -

But if they do they are sure to use a land line as they have an aversion to cell phones the last year.
