The iumplication of your post is that the cahrges were unwaranted when in fact they were and Walz gratefully accepted what, at the time, was a fairly standard plea bargain. I say at the time as most jurisdictions would not offer that plea bargain today.

Last one i attended was the Minnesota State Fair maybe 40 yeasr ago. I went because I wanted to attend a Peter Paul & Mary concert with Pete Seeger. Show was cancelled due to electrical problems, no amplification. Regardless first Mary, and then pete came out to sing one song with no speakers. They sang to 10,000 folks. I was able to hear them pretty good. I remember enjoying the side show barkers on the way in and out. I saw Angie Dickinson walking around. She looked good for a woman her age.
