  1. Luke 12:35 I believe.
  2. Waking to a dangerous and uncertain world today. Hoping that we can come together as Americans for a time, but believing we will not. I will watch with interest if anarchy rather than unity reigns during planned protests this weekend. The last thing the present Administration needs right now, and the last thing our economy and our nation needs right now is unrest in the streets.
  3. If one believes in sleeper terror cells in this country one has to wonder if an event like this will cause them to wake.
  4. Imagine the beat down Padilla would have gotten from say Taylor Swift's security team had he tried to approach her uninvited in the same manner he approached Noem.
  5. I have been around Secret Service both when they are actively protecting their principle and there advance teams preparing to protect their principle. I have been involved in coordinating local law enfocement to cooperate with them, several times.
  6. Imagine a Senator being so uninvolved in the national conversation that he has less facial recognition than junior congresswomen like Jasmine Crockett. Dude was like, no, really, I AM a Senator, and the Secret Service was like, pull the other one.
  7. Padilla was looking for attention. He sought to get that attention by ignoring all norms and protocols of his profession. He presented as a potential threat. He was stopped. He then claimed the sanctity of his Office by identifying himself verbally. His actions being wholly inconsistent with his self identification Secret Service and FBI did not take him at his word, after all he was not wearing his identification nor acting Senatorially. Secret Service and FBI don't take potential risks at their word, its pretty much their job discription to not do so. They secured the unknown person until they identified him. Then they let him go. He played the buffoon because he was looking for attention and he did not think things through. He wanted to usurp the forum of another for his own goals. He got closed down, appropriately. His whining and attempts to redefine the incident are pathetic. He emasculated himself. Those trying to defend his conduct emasculate themselves. Sometimes you just have to take the loss and move on.
  8. I would exonerate you so long as you gave a warning honk before proceeding. Also, the standard courtesy wave to the back after you passed through would be a nice touch.
  9. Not to mention it may void your vehicle warranty if they get caught up in your drive train or baked into your muffler and exhaust pipe.

  12. Nice day for kayaking. The fish are rising. I think I will hit the reservior now than drive up to Grandby and work the Fraser at sundown. The riots can proceed nicely without my observation or comentary.
  13. I did. If you want famous quotes I give you... The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. -HDT Life is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury and signifying nothing. -WS
  14. Some desperately want to live in significant times and to have significant lives and so, instead of working to acquire the skills to be significant they try to interpret the current moment as significant and their actions in response to the current moment as significant.
  15. If they want to tresspass and interfere with federal contracted operations I say give them the consequences of their actions. They wanted to show brio for the cameras. They wanted to act like martyrs. They wanted to show they wdere willing to take the risk of defiance. I say give them the full consequences of that risk. Detention facilities are not there for staging politcal grandstanding. Give them the consequences of their staged martyrdom.
  16. That is because they want electronics, cell phones, and jewelery. They already have tacos and leafblowers so no reason to target mexican owned businesses.

80/20 Issues that are Killing Liberals- Just added- LA Riots

I just saw a talking head say that the peaceful protestors simply like to watch a fire as if they are beachgoers enjoying a bonefire and heating up some smores. Question, if the tent cities caught on fire would that constitute a burning building. They are domiciles, but not buildings in my mind, though some of them do have some structural lumber? This seems an opportunity to clear out some of those tent cities. Whoops, a firework scittered into that tent and caught that whole row on fire and the LAFD could not get there through the crowds, and even if they did there may not have been water in the hydrants.

    Trump birthday military parade debacle

I remember Trump proposing this during his first term as well. I opposed it then and oppose it now. We are not China, russia, or North Korea that we need to parade our tanks and missile carriers and frankly, we don't march in that incredible unity the asians manage.
  19. Maybe, if it was a 28 gauge and is loaded with rock salt. Something with a substantial sting, a bit debiliatating at first, and which leaves some permanent pock marks, but no death.
  20. They do indeed. They do not have a right to interfere with officers, to damage property by fire or stone, to impede the travel of others, to assualt law enforcement. If they want to put something on a sign and march around a government building, so be it, so long as they do not obstruct access to the buildings. If they want to engage in nonviolent civil protest, more power to them. If they want to riot I hope they catch a bit of a beating while being apprehended and prosecuted.

What do you do to find "inspiration?"

I look at my wife and children.
  22. If you spell Kenosha correctly folks might have a better chance of understanding your point, or refuting it, whichever. At least they would be able to google the matter more efficiently.
