How did I demonize them? Was it my presumption that they are more or less exactly like us in thier propensity towards crime? How demonizing of me to assume they are like us. What I do know is that citing flawed studies, so flawed they don't even recognize their own limitations and then stating that they establish the facts shows a disturbing lack of intellectual curiosity.

I saw trump on the news still sporting his obvious bandage. I spoke to a doctor friend of mine who posits that Trumps wound likely recieved two to three stiches and could be covered with your basic band aid brand bandage. I think he is overplaying this a bit. A close call, certainly. A serious wound, not from the visual evidence.

We have discussed before this belief of yours which is based on the very flawed metric of crimes charged and successfully prosecuted. Illegals tend to victimize their own communities more than the community at large, though they do that too. Their community is reluctant to report them for fear they, the victims will get deported. They are unaware of the U-42 Visas they could get for being witnesses. When the crimes do get reported, a rarity, they tend to be in large cities, cities dominated by prosecutors who do not charge the crimes as they are beholden to voters in liberal, sanctuary cities, though that is starting to change. When charged the illegals frequently disappear into other migrant comunities or flee back across the border, avoiding prosecution. You have no idea of the actaul crime rates. The metrics simply do not reflect them. None of us know the true rates. That is the nature of shadow communities of illegals. Maybe they commit fewer crimes. Maybe more. Maybe it is about the same which would be my guess. Asserting your opinion as fact, though, is refusal to appreciate the issue, refusal based on what, wishful thinking I suppose.

Too bad that the infrastructure did not prioritize reinforcing damns in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and now Illinois. That said, it is a big country with lots of infrastructure in need of maintenance and repair. Tough to get to it all at once. Still, maybe maintenance and repair should have preceeded installation of a handful of charging stations. Me, as for the economy, well inflation was crushing but is subsiding and the markets have me happy, at least for now.

So the Executive branch is going to call on the Legislative branch to regulate the Judicial branch.In a tri-partite system of government where each branch is a co-equal? I am unclear how one branch can regulate a co-equal unless that power is listed in the Constitution itself. Maybe you or others could outline for me how this would be done. Maybe point to some Constitutional provision saying it can be done. Could be I am missing some obvious power.

My Jr. High School had a two week hunters safety and firearms safety course over the Christmas break. 10 days, two hours a day including live firing of .22 calibers and 20 gauges. If you passed you were certified to hunt at 14 without adult supervision. They also had a rifle team. I was taught much earlier by my Grandfather and Father. Still, no competency training like the military where you can burn through a lot of rounds. Practice makes perfect.

My home has a much more severely sloped roof and is three stories high in several points. I, a 65 year old man with knee and hip replacements get up on it every year in the early winter to put up Christmas lights. I think a highly trained Secret Service Agent ought to be able to get up on a barely sloping single story roof, and if it was the Local P.D. I think their SWAT guys ought to have that capability as well.

His wife is unusually well academically credentialed. Daughter of immigrants, Hindu. Law Clerk to two current Supreme Court justices which is unusual. He is well credentialed academically. He served his country in the marines. He is, for me, too young and inexperienced though he seems articulate.
