Interesting. We had a situation in colorado a decade ago where a legisltor was involved in a similar situation. It turned out then that our legislators have immunity for crimes while traveling to or from oficial legislative sessions or duties. The idea was, it was explained then, that local jurisdictions opposed to the ideas of that particualr legislator would not be able to inhibit the legislator from acting upon their beliefs. Local jurisdictions could not, in effect, usde trumped up charges or real charges to interfer wiht ther legislative process. From my memory there was a call to rescind that immunity but i do not believe that happened. I would have to check.

I don't believe anyone in good conscience can believe either man is likely to finish the term for which they are running .I find it irresponsible that each side is trying to push their guy over the finish line.

Was just on the Colorado yesterday. I ran it from Pumphouse to Stateline up out of Kremmling colorado. It was flowing 3300 cfs so a nice ride. Got off it right before torrential rain and hail came down. You could see the river rise maybe two feet in a bout five minutes from the deluge. Fortunately the hail was small so my truck made it through without looking like a golf ball.
