Is your dislike of Trump a religiously held belief? The case is about religious beliefs, ostensensibly. -

She was not undocumented. She came with her papers and her shots, just like the new puppy my wife bought. -
Looks like whoever parked the white jeep behind the reporter and just off to the right also had too much to drink.

He should, but sometimes unplanned events arise. I am not excusing him, I am just saying stupidity happens.

If the white guy mechanic cut siz feet off of the chain which goes across the deep end of the pool would not that chain no longer reach? Seems unlikely. Also seems a lie, one meant to emphasize his bravery but which really emphasizes his lying and his stupidity. Call the cops, don't charge head first into a potentially life taking brawl. This story is as tone deaf as kristi Noems dog killing story. Both are meant to showcase their strength of cahracter. Both just indicate they are tone deaf to the public mood. with Noem I give her a pass becasue I am always willing to ignore the words coming out of the mouth of a female with whom I want to canoodle.

The Baker was asked to add food coloring to the frosting mix and the cake batter. He has no objections to using food coloring. When he was told that the routine innocuous task has specific symbolism to the buyer, symbolism non-apparent to the Baker or anyone else for that matter he then refused. This was not about his beliefs but rather about responding to her beliefs. -

BTW, if the Baker's position were at all common a LGBTQ(Whatever) Baker could make a killing. Denver is a big marketplace and my understanding is that the Alphabet demographic is much more affluent on average than the rest of the marketplace and much more likely to purchase artisan baked goods as opposed to Kroeger grocery store items. -

Symbolic speech cases are a difficult matter when the symbolic speech is ambiguous. Here there was nothing inherent in the colors request which would have triggered the Baker but the Plaintiff told him that the innocuous colors had symbolism for her, intending that what she told him would trigger him as his position is well known. Objectively this deliberate test case tests the boundaries of the last ruling in this matter. Subjectively he maybe does not have to bake her the cake under the prior ruling but the Court will be extremely reluctant to craft a standard which is wholly subjective. I think the Plaintiff prevails here. I hope her victory, if she obtains it, warms her. The Baker is a basically decent man who contributes to his community and she is unwilling to live and let live with him which is sad to me. I do not share his religious convictions but I don't think his convictions are hurting anyone in a metro area full of Bakers. It would be one matter if he were the only source of food or baked goods for hundreds of miles, but not in Denver where the options are boundless. Still, the Court has to craft a ruling which applies to all places of public accomodation. That is why I have suggested he not be open to the public, generally, in a store, but that he take consignment orders onl,y toutiong the artisanship of his cakes flowing from his faith. Plaintiff is legally correct but not necessarily morally right. Still, who cannot understand her view that she is stomping out discrimination. Discrimination which is naturally dying out on its own, but discrimnation none the less, from her point of view. -

Actually I think this time he went a bridge too far. The cahllenge to him was well conceived by the Attorney/plaintiff and likely will succeed. -

I believe the Attorney/plaintiff has structured this intentional challenge in such a manner that she will prevail. The previous ruling in favor of the Baker was on a narrow point and premise and this particualr set of facts shows that premise to have been factually inaccurate. In the end this will not overturn the earlier case, it will only serve to clarify it. As for the Baker, I don't know how he stays in business with his litigation costs. I know much of his burden is taken up by advocates with an agenda and so his costs are minimized, but still, this seems exhausting. i would recommend he give up his store and that he only takes Artisan Orders on Special Consignment. -

You have made that abundantly clear. As for disagreeing with me, well that puts you in some august company. It doesn't necessarily mean you, yourself, are august, just that you are in such company. -

I regard it as a reasonable opinion to hold that all illegal immigrants should be deported regardless of their heartwarming backstory. If exceptions are to be made those exceptions ought to come from congress such as the U-Visa exception. They ought not to come from the executive branch of government and in particular not during an election year. -

Thanks for offering me a homework assignment but I have been out of school for some time. You go right on offering supposition as fact, that is who you are and have been. The more often you do so the more you undermine any credibility you might have had. -

Hey Mr. Frowny Face Emoji, all are intitled to a vigorous, zealous defense. I have defended murderers and rapists before changing sides and making a career out of prosecuting them. They were entitled to their defenses and I helped secure their freedom. Tim would deserve no less of an effort. I am confident I could secure his freedom even in a venue dominated by ardent republicans making up the jury pool. -
