So i have watched the arrest video a few times now. One thing that has cuaght my attention is the fat bastard at 37 seconds into this version of the video. He seems to be yelling at a guy pointing the suspect out to the Cop. It appears he is defending the attacker, or sympathetic to him. That is an interpretation only and may be wrong or unfair, but I hope the Cops are looking at that guy and clarifying what he was doing and saying. I have plenty of the crazy so prevalent in this forum. Over long decades I have learned to tamp it down, mostly. Still, at my core I may still be a raging beast, a storm, passion unfettered by reason. I try not to visit that core.

Absolutely. Now I will not befriend nor interact with such folks, and I worry about the lessons they teach their children, but in America it is definitely O.K. It is also definitely O.K. to counter their beliefs and philosophies and to stand united, with others, in doing so, so long as the countering is peaceful. Me personally, I find shunning to be the appropriate response, not doxing, but shunning.

You did well. My first impulse is towards violence as I have a bit of a gift for it. Being inappropriate in the presence of my children, especially when they were young could get a rise out of me. Disregarding and disrespecting a warning from me to knock the behavior off even more so. Any such attempt to dominate me in front of my children would have ended badly for that person, but also, perhaps, for me as I never wanted to pass on my anger and fage to them. You did well. You modeled adult behavior.

Generally speaking as I navigate my way through the world I don't run into pride parades or events. Once, maybe 18 years ago I did in Durango Colorado. I was stopped by a traffic control officer so that a pride parade could pass down the street upon which I was intending to turn. I had no idea the parade was scheduled as I was visiting that town and had no prior knowledge of the event. I was delayed maybe 15 minutes while the participants passed bye. I had my youngest in the car, 8 years-old at the time. She asked about the display of nudity and fetishistic behavior being exhibited. I said the world contains a wide variety of people and beliefs and that this display was one such example of that variety. Yearly the reservior upon which I kayak routinely closes down for a pride event. I am unclear how my kayaking miles from the beach and pavilions where the event is held would detract from the event, yet my yearly pass is not honored that day. I simply go elsewhere on that particular day.

I take no pride in my immutable characteristics I was born with. I do take some pride in my accomplishments, my achievements. Strangely I take pride in my children. i don't know why, their accomplishments, their beliefs, are their own. Still, I take pride in them.

E-mail your company that thanks, but you will not be attending a parade celebrating one of the seven deadly sins. Let them know you have a lawyer looking into your rights at this time as you feel your workplace has become hostile and intolerant by tactically endorsing attendance at the event..

GM to Agent: Too bad your guy was not drafted by the Browns, then. The thing is, we are very comfortable not conducting business like the Browns. In fact we strive to not do so. It is sort of our culture to not be the Browns. On the bright side, after your guy does not sign, sits for a year earning nothing, hopefully stays out of trouble though idle hands are the devils playground, stays in shape during that year, maybe he can get drafted by the Browns in the second round next year.
