  1. Pretty sure his convictions will not negate her prenup so she will still have to stand by her man.
  2. I imagine Trump's shorts are taking a gaseous beating right about now.
  3. Technically yes, but I simply do not see that happening, but who knows? Your guess is as good as mine.
  4. WE will find out soon enough. I tend to agree that this jury, with these instructions and the evidence admitted is going to convict. I could well be wrong, but that is what I foresee. I also foresee the verdict being overturned on appeal for any number of reasons but by then our history will already have been irreversibly effected.
  5. Well a hung jury is now off the table given reports. Has to be guilty or not guilty. I thought Trump's best chance was a hung jury but who can say.
  6. Good point. I should be prepositioned near one to get the prime selection. I never plan ahead but with your reminder I can.
  7. I fear hysterics from each side of the spectrum may behave very badly and potentially even violently upon a verdict. Folks seem very worked up and very much tribally aligned. I would just stay far away from the courthouse if I lived in New York.
  8. Disturbing. Unacceptable behavior.
  9. It has been a long, long time since law school for me. When I was there we learned, mostly tangentially, that two states were what was referred to as Field Code states, that is their intrinsic law was not based entirely upon english common law as is the case in most stes, but they had elements of french and even dutch law primarily procedurally. The First, Louisianna was strongly influenced by french prodcedure and the seond New York by french and dutch. Some of the procedures we are seeing here are, I presume, a result of that, but being admitterd in neither of those jurisdictions and the passage of time since my education I really cannot say. (Admitted in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico and to the Federal Bar and provisionally admitted, pro hac vice to Virgina and Florida, now retired and I have relinquished my license so as to not have to keep up with CLE's.)

Trump looking at Musk as policy advisor

    An interesting bike rack.

Goodbye Ty Cobb, Hello Josh Gibson

Well the Green monster is a joke. How that can be a major league park is beyond comprehension. Also some hitters get short porches like in Yankee Stadium and some play in massive pastures so yes, I agree with you there.

Robert De Ziro is clinically insane

I'd sort of like it if DeNiro called me a gangster. Better yet if he and Pesci would do so together. I do note that DeNiro's points were less than cogent and the points made by the many angry detractors were emotion based rather than well reasoned factual arguments.
  13. Imagine. People never cease to surprise me, which is to say disappoint and disgust me.

Trump looking at Musk as policy advisor

I appreciate knowing about this before it happens for transparency sake rather than not being informed of the cooperative arrangement until its effects become known through investigation. Be up front! I wonder if Musk would try to use the position to get contraacts for SpaceX with NASA or for Tesla with any of the various federal fleets of vehicles. I can picture Tesla postal trucks in my neighborhood. They would be sold as quiet and nonpolluting, just an extention of green deals, when what they would be is graft.
  15. I like to get to them before they grow fangs.

    This economy is so bad

Just a feeling. I have zero economic training either in school or in my professional life so I would be the last person to listen to on this. I definately cannot give you any reason an economist would recognize, except if I did so by accident. We have what, two weeks before the next report. My hope is it ameliorates a bit and that the market moves back towards its high of two weeks ago. That would be good for me as I am retired and living off of interest and savings. (One year and six months before I start taking social security)
  17. When I was watching that show she was an older woman compared to my age then. Regardless, yes I am a perv.
  18. Dumber than Bears Superfans?
  19. I'd prefer Jane or Judy Jetson, but to each their own.

Have You Ever Been In An Orgy

I have zero desire to be in a room were phalluses might slap into me, spray me, or seek entry on me while I am doing my thing. Multiple women seems appealing, but strangers slinging yogurt, not so much. I had a roommate who wanted me and him to spit roast some random he brought home one night but I definitely did not want to see his O face so I declined.
  21. The down side of audio transcription services is that they do not have great legs.
  22. Many courts, perhapsmmost even have gone to audio transcription services which are, in my experience, better than court reporters. Court reporters use to hate me. It use to be that to be certified they had to be able to transcribe at 225 to 250 words per minute. Turns out I speak much faster than that. They were always asking me to slow down.
  23. Court reporter transcripts are often a mess. By having this done in open court Council can object if they believe the transcript to be less than fully accurate. It preserves issues for appeal to have it done in open court with lawyers present.
  24. I prefer my read backs to be done by Morgan Freeman or James Earl Jones. With deNiro nearbye maybe they can get he and Pesci to do a dramatic read back.

Goodbye Ty Cobb, Hello Josh Gibson

Records have been in tatters for years what with designated hitters, live ball era, and steroids.
