I fully understand. Bob Lanier was another. injuries to his knees and feet limited him quite quickly to only 25 minutes or so a game, yet in those limited miutes he put up numbers which were impressive for guys playing 35 to 40 minutes. Still, he is not often tazlked about amoung the "greats".

Before injuries took his game he may have been the most complete center ever. Granted the injuries took his game quite quickly.

Funeral for a person who committed suicide
Engorgeous George replied to jerryskids's topic in The Geek Club
I'm no expert about funeral behavior but in my experience people at a funeralral of a suicide will speculate about the reasons for and the impact of the suicide. Now those who do speculate do not do so with the immediate family, but I have even heard close friends speculate as part of their mourning process. It is human nature to try to understand the motivation for someone taking their life especially when that someone was a friend. My administrative assistant was a single mother and a devoted one. I watched her boy grow from a toddler to a young man. Like most boys he had a few minor kerfuffels while growing up but he seemed to get through them all and was a fine and honorable young man with many friends. He killed himself. I attended the funeral. I actually paid for the funeral. His close friends told many annecdotes about the young man while eulogizing him. They also speculated as to his motivations or lack of faith or internal anguish while eulogizing him. Maybe you have experienced otherwise, but in my limited experience conversations as to motivation are common at funerals and wakes, done with some caution certainly to mind the proprieties and the sensitivities of the closest relatives, but common. -

Shouldn't we have a rear view of these oplayers to make an informed decision? Given what we have I have to go with the attractive woman on the left whose name I do not know.

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from hell? Blue skies from pain? Can you tell a green field From a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell? Did they get you to trade Your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? Did you exchange A walk-on part in the war For a lead role in a cage? -
This all may be but what I know for certain is he has never been nice to me, not once.

I want my doctors and my airline pilots to be the most competent and sober folks available. I don't care about the color of their skin, just their competence. That said, with A.I. and robot surgeries maybe it will not matter in the future, but it sure matters right now. -

Even with this weeks losses the market, though volitile, is up over the last year. Unemployment is tricky as the basis of the number has been redefined and it does not incorporate underemployment and those who have abandoned the job market. Still, the rate, as now calculated, is low, no question. People are resistant to facts. Paul Simon wrote "Still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest". And the Grateful Dead, in Black Throated Wind wrote "You ain't gonna learn waht you don't want to know." We are fascinatingly stupid creatures, but may be worthy of saving, who knows.
