Majority of Americans wrongly believe US is in recession
Engorgeous George replied to Mike Honcho's topic in The Geek Club
For my household everyday items are substantially more expensive than only a few years ago. That said I filled my truck yesterday and the price was $2.99 a gallon so not bad. Just last week I paid over $4.00 a gallon in the mountains and out in the high dessert of Utah. The stock market is very volitile. Last week record highs, this week down 1000 pooints. I seem to recall numbers in the 37,000 or 36,000 in the last year and bounces up to the 38,000 and 39,000 and back down and then up again. I hear monthly employment numbers and inflation numbers touted, and then revised because they were wrong. I hear reported numbers are based upon new calculations from years ago. I find Biden, and his administration untrustworthy on reported numbers, and rightfully so when he touts inflation was at 9% when he took office. I find the congressional budget office's numbers a bit more reliable. Neither party cares about me or mine, they just care about obtaining power or remaining in power. Things could be worse, and will eventually get there. I fear for my progeny. Still, things are good enough we will host our annual Memorial Day picnic. No steak this year, but otherwise the beer will flow and the grill will be full. -
Maybe he was not writing about voting for him as president in a national election, but voting for him in a poll here, like most deadly orange thing, Agent Orange or Donald Trump, or most offensive comb-over, Hitler or Donald Trump.

Eat the pie. Screw the braunschweiger.

I do most of the cooking too. Our chores are very old timey gender role chores. She cleans and arranges, I fix and maintain, tote and haul. She defined the chores as per her preference.

Waiting for this Estee Williams chick to do a video to the Divinyals I touch Myself.

Thought this could use a bump, what with the discussion of harrison Butker's speech.

Was the use of force statement standard boileroplete in such a warrant, yes. It was not pointed at Trump specifically and had a near zero percent chance of coming about. The thing is, that it was included, standard boilerplate or not, shows the lack of critical thinking by those seeking the warrant. That they did not foresee the fallout from that boilerplate and remove what would be inapplicable so as to reduce the near zero percent chance of this coming to be to an absolute zero percent chance makes me question how much thought went into the application.

Trump's NY Election Interference Trial - Trump is found guilty on all 34 counts

It does. He or his handlers probably meant to write "narrowly", but they did not. Now, obviously, since he is still out there and fully animated he has been resurrected which can only enhance his standing. -
I would think that an omnipotent and all loving creator would be able to recruit folks far more intelligent and eloquent than Weepaws to preach his evangil.

Will it be a raw dogging world? Will sales of sausages with natural casings skyrocket? Perhaps all msles will receive reversable vasectomies on thier 12th birthday, you know, install a little petcock valve. I, for one, anxiously await the policy. Any man with the scientific acumen to have proposed nuking hurricanes should be expected to a unique perspective on this issue as well.

That show lasted for five years after it had officially overstayed its welcome?! Remarkable. -
The hot sister thing is the road to perdition. Unfortunately that damn road seems like the yellow brick road.

He should have illustrated his speech with pictures from that Trad wife chick featured in a thread here last month. She was zaftig hot.

Black on Black Violence: Darwin Style

Been handling firearms for 55+ years. Never had an accidental discharge. I never pointed one at anything I ws not prepared to shoot. I have had idiots point them at me or perhaps towards me may be more accurate. Kid was cavalier about the weapon. You can't be cavalier. He did not learn the hard way here as he did not live long enough to process the lesson. -
Sounds like you got a good woman. Congrats.

For average fellows like you and I it would probably be paying off strippers or crack whores, potentially even babysitters, not porn stars. -

I've asked before and I'll ask again, not as some sort of "gotcha" but as i truly don't know and have not had it articulated yet to me, what was the falsification? If "legal fees" or "legal expenses" was false what should it have properly been denoted? Are there predefined and listed categories? If so into which category should this ahve been denoted on the memo line of the check? Did the designation change tax or licensing payments due the City or the State of New York? -

Yes Trump was. Frankly I do not understand how so many republicans have sold their party for this huckster. -

Historically he was a darling of the left. He and the left started diverging a decade or so ago. Was it he who swung right, they who swung much further left, or a combination of the two, who can say? I happen to believe it was a bit of both though others may have a different view. Clearly the last year or three I would categorize him as being in the camp of the right. -
That's good of you. I believe in this case you may also be advocating for some of the lassies

I do not. Whether it jives with his very specific listening audience which is a specific subset of college graduating women is another matter. It does not upset me that there are a variety of opinions in the world, a variety of paths, so long as one does not interfere with my path. Dude was like Hhey, look at this path over here. I bet many of you re excited about walking down this path." I don't see how that upsets those intending to walk another path.

I would venture to guess that more than 9 out of 10 persons posting in this thread had a mother.
-
I find the calling to motherhood, to shaping the next generation among the highest callings. We pretend to venerate teachers, nurses, caregivers, nurturers, well mothers are all that and more. Holding them in veneration does not seem an outrage, at least not to me, especially very near mother's day.
