No, criticizing Officers of the Court is free speech. Insulting Officers of the Court is free speech if it occurs outside the courtroom. Inside the courtroom it is disruptive of proceedings and is subject to the control of the Court. Threats, legal threats, threats that are clear and present are actionable. Veiled threats where one has to surmise the threat, those are not actionable. -
Markets have had a bad time of it the last 8 or so days. Inflation is ticking up. Gas prices are on the rise. (I mention them in particular as though they are included in genreal inflation they make a big psychological impact as we all drive past stations and see the rise in giant numerals). I was in Home Depot yesterday. I saw a Kamodo Joe ceramic smoker. Price was $1699.00. I nearly had a movement. How could that have risen to that price? I was shocked. I took my wife and daughter to dinner Saturday. I re-evaluated my tipping posture. I have been in the 25 to 33% range for many years. I backed it down to 20%. Also we eat out less now than even a few months ago. Prices just seem outlandish.

That was my point/observation on page one. It was a one off. -
Psychiatrist sees signs Biden was medicated for State of the Union performance

I have no doubt that Biden was under the influence during the SOTU. I find it irresponsible of his handlers. he is an old man and even with sophisticated medical supervison I think it irresponsible. I thjink the original Star Trek had an episode like this, where the putative leader was more or less a drug cocktail zombie trotted out on T.v. atg the convenience of teh powers behind the throne. I think it featured a hot chick as a Nazi who Kirk had to bone. -
Sort of indicting god. His instrument would be far grander than the orange nubbin.

Outrunning the past can be difficult. Sometimes money is not a sufficient deoderant. Skanks, god love em but they just are not good at shutting the hell up. -

I think there ought to be a porn star/client privilege, sort of like with priests/penetants. What is said (and paid) in the sanctity of the fornicatorium stays in the fornicatorium. Of course Trump would still have a problem as such privileges only extend to the the two individuals involved in the act. Once he brings a third party into the relationship to pay the porn star the privilege is broken. Third parties outside of attornies pretty much always break these privileges and for attornies the privileges only remain as to legal advice, not as to other functions like forwarding a criminal enterprise by being a bagman. -

Well I imagine jury selection will go on for many days so it will be some time before we hear the prosecution's case in detail and even more before we hear from Trump. -

Let us know how it goes. "Honey I did not have an affair with that women, I just opportunistically banged the skank that one time." -

I forget where he ended up on this. To my recollection he did deny the incident but then stated (or maybe he had his proxies state) that it did occur but the payments were not about the campaign, it was about Melania not finding out. As i said the trial will certainly refresh my recollection. I don't want to get the facts wrong and have folks think I did so with soime agenda. -

I would not term that an affair as did the original post. To me an affair has the connotation of something which was ongoing or repeated over time, it is something more than a one time thing. Not that this has anything to do with the charges. I wonder if Trump's lawyers will offer to stipulate to some of the facts so as to limit testimony a bit. -

I did not think the Stormy Daniels incident was an affair. I thought it a one time thing. I must not have followed along thoroughly when it all came out. Frankly I find Stormy Daniels a bit of a pig. Karen McDougal on the other hand is fine as frog's hair. I guess the trial will give me time to become reacquainted with all the salacious details. -

More dangerous in Chicago or Jerusalum last night? -
I find the argument that the Iranians did this as a face saving measure interesting. The argument seems to be they wanted to show they can act forcefully while the argument also goes that they intended no actual damage.Tthis was all for show. Well they did demonstrate they can launch vehicles. And it is true there was little damage this time. My question though is how does it save face to show the world and your closest allies that you are totally ineffectual? How does it save face and make you appear strong to demonstrate that your weapons cannot reach their target? There seems to be a collateral argument that we Americans have shown our strenght by not responding. Well we have shown that strength well over 100 times since this present hot conflict started and all that has done has lead to more attacks.

His next admonition of "don't" will be whispered, for emphasis.

The Frankie Five Angels dodge. I like it.

As we speak the Biden Administration is drafting up operation Corn Pop. He is going to stride into Iran wielding a length of chain and will challenge the Ayatollah but only after apologizing for calling him Ester Williams.
-
He told them Don't.
-
I can't believe they did this after shooting at us over a hundred times recently with nary a whimper from us, and then just this week Biden telling them 'Don't!' What were his other 'Don'ts' I forget. Don't attack us as we pull out of Afghanistan, Don't invade Ukraine, Don't cut social security, and this recent one.
-
Really? You actually believe this don't you?

I pretend to no expertise or insight on money matters, just what I have observed more or less from the sidelines as I went about trying to accumulate enough wealth to secure my family after I retired and eventually die. I would have been well advised to learn more over the course of years but I lacked interest and appreciation for the subject. That said, blatant untruths are apparent even to boyos like me and Beachguy has some whoppers.
