George Floyd scholarship is discriminating.
Engorgeous George replied to Cloaca du jour's topic in The Geek Club
That is why I said close rather than saying they are white scholarships. There are a few exceptions so notable that they support the general rule. -
I don't need the aggravation. How many indictments do you think I could get by being an unregistered foreign agent? That seems like a pretty good gig so long as you don't video yourself in your tighty whities doing blow while wearing a scarf and anticipating the arrival of the hookers. Me, I wear boxer briefs, own no scarfs, and have an adversion to documenting my crimes with video. Still, I think I could be good for a few indictments.

If she wants to become impregnated she should have given me a call. I have impregnated someone older than her. -
Not yet. Maybe someday.

NYC Councilwoman Starting To Understand How Stupid She Is

From the few punched in the face videos I have seen the women are at least minimally attractive. The NYC Councilwoman is in no danger herself. -

I have not had a decent baked good since I left Milwaukee
Engorgeous George posted a topic in The Geek Club
Between the Germans, Jews, Italians and Greeks you could always get good rolls, breads and pastries. Colorado, forget about it. They seem to think Panera or Kneaders are the height of baking. Find me a good kaiser roll or stollen. Find me good baklava. Sourdough or russian rye, forget about it. Oroweat is just not cutting it. Hint to bakers, you should not be able to wring oil out of fritters or glazed doughnuts. Carrot cake should be moist but not wet. Eclairs are filled with custard not whipped cream. Bagels are not judged on large size but good taste and especially texture. -

The owner of that lot got a good deal. Were I his attorney he would have gotten monetary damages and free and clear title to the structure.

Maybe he inferred as much since you are reasonable and funny as opposed to angry and unreachable.

Another example of why politicians can't be trusted
Engorgeous George replied to Hawkeye21's topic in The Geek Club
Every tournament game I have watched has cheerleaders, trainers, coaches (plural) and a fairly large band. Three bus loads strikes me as just about right. -
I guess I inferred as much as you raised your point seemingly in response to my posting. That said my inference was a bridge too far, clearly not your intent, and I accept your explanation as true from the inception of your posting.

Team, trainers and coaches, School Administrators and Athletic department Director, Cheerleaders, Dance team and band. That sounds like around three bus loads. -

Gonzaga. Sounds foreign to me. Best to be intolerant to stay on the safe side until their bona fides are verified. -
Does it have a phallus and/or balls in a scrotum? if so it uses the boys room. Does it have ovaries and/or a uterus, if so it uses the girls room. If it is a hermaphrodie it can use the faculty facilities, the principal's facilities, or it can use a bucket in the janitor's closet. The discomfort of the one does not outweigh the discomfort of the many.

Talking concepts in the middle of a partisan fight almost always has folks assuming one is a staking horse for one side or the otheer. I get it, after 30 years of folks trying to tarp others into arguments and positions we are all wary of the practice. Me, I gave up that simplistic practice many years ago. I am sincerely interested in the ramifications of this test case which may change the law. i don't give a damn about Trump or Biden as I find both unpaletable and frankly far beneath what we should have, and what we deserve in the Office of President. We should have been careful what we asked for.

Which is why I never made that argument. i look at my property. It has an assessed value. They take that assessed value, multiple it by a mill levy, and come up with my taxes. My assessed value, and everyone's in my county is lower than actaul value. The reason is so that we cannnot challenge the assessed value. That way the government gets their taxes, their bounty on my life. What I and others cannot challenge is the mill levy multiplier which is way all governments use this paradigm, governments don't like challenges. They ahve a target of vlue they want to acquire but they do so disingenuously.

Now admittedly the concept of exhaustion of remedies is usually a civil concept and usually applies to filings when there are still administrqtive processes available to a plaintiff, but the concept is one I believe in.
-
As an attorney I sort of believe in the concept of exhaustion of remedies. That means before a court takes up a matter it requires that plaintiffs look to see if there is a more minimal authority who can provide complete remedy. If so, that is the appropriate venue for a matter. I also understand that the laws under which Trump was charged was intended to create full disclouse by lenders to unsophistiucated borrowers. I understand the language is general enough to palpably argue the language flows both ways so I don't really care to argue it should not, but I do look at the original intent. Finally I do think the due dilligence of the lender is what creates a level playing field. Where the government the lender I could see their interest here. in the end I understand the arguments for finding Trump liable, I just have some philosophical troubles with the arguments. That said, Trump got hoisted on his own petard and me not liking the man I must say I experienced a bit of schadenfreude when it happened. My enjoyment aside I am uncomforatable with the motivations of the A.G. I think pandora's box has been opened and the witch has a stanky box indeed. I do welcome evidence to educate me on how much reliance commercial lenders palce on assertions of collateral vqalue in loan applications. Seems to me someone here might have insight into that.
