Let's discuss the NFL's divisional round matchups
Engorgeous George replied to cmh6476's topic in The Geek Club
I give the Packers maybe a 1 in six chance of winning outright and a 2 in six chance of beating the spread. The Packers would need to tackle more surely than they generally have this year. They would also need to control their stupid penalties as this year they have allowed teams lined up to punt the ball to convert the fourth down by penalty and have gotten teams in thirds and very long first downs not just by untimely pass interference penalties which happens to every team, but by really stupid and late unnecessary roughness penalties. Those are the equivilent of turnovers and they are prevengtable with some brains and discipline. Hopefully the youngest and through much of the year dumbest team will communicate on both offense and defense as when they do they are pretty good. Maybe, just maybe they have it figured out but the 49ers test even the best communicating teams so we shall see. I do note that the Packers with Jones, Watson, Reed, and Wicks on offense and Alexander and campbell in on defense are a lot different than the Packers without them which was often the case this year. Who knows, maybe they will even get Dillon out there. -

All I know is the 49ers seem to end my Packers season more often than not lately and it seems to be shaping up towards that outcome once again. Maybe this year will be the exception to that rule but I won't be putting my money on that unlikely outcome* * Unless the line moves to 10.5. -
The only thing i like about the Cowboys is their dedicated reporter on the NFL network. I dig Jane Slater.

Packers did Detroit quite a favor by getting them a second home game. -

Liker an even more simple-minded Chris Berman. Of course Chris Berman was popular enough to have made a lucrative career out of such childishness. -

And I believe that to be a serious error. In his first term even those he alienated supported him through his impeachments as he was not a lame duck. their support was reluctant support for party over person. Were he to get a second term and be a lame duck those he insults would have no incentive to support him through the impeachments we know are to come. Once there is no future and very little present with him the knifes will come out. -

No worries at all. Others read it just as you did so obviously my writing was not sharp. It was my poor writting which created the confusion. -

We view him rather differently. As for how the former president was viewed on the world stage my direct exposure to the opinions of others was limited to trips to friends in the Netherlands, Germany, Scotland and Japan so my data base would be too limited to offer an opinion. -

I was rerferring to legislative allies within the Republican party. I thought that clear from context as it was fellow Republicans he had tried to demean. Apparently it was not as clear as I imagined. My apologies. -
The original Iron Chef. The Chinese Iron Chef was the best, followed by the french and then the japanese. The chinese cuisine iron Chef could take cow eyeballs and a few sea urchins and in a wok create a traditional three tiered frosted wedding cake in under ten minutes.

Let me get this straight, Trump acted juvenilely, again. Shocking. His supporters seem to love his juvenile behavior so of course he continues to display it prominently. Sadly for his supporters he alienates potential allies he will need as a lame duck president should he get so far, and he does damage to the Republican brand once he is gone which will be either in November of this year or if he wins in about April of next year as hated lame ducks prove to be rather ineffective leaders unless they have both houses and their party squarely behind them and it usualy only takes until april for that to be borne out. -
Rachel Maddow defends MSNBC's refusal to air Trump's Iowa victory speech

I trust they will start simply summarizing what Karin Jean-Pierre meant to say rather than broadcasting what she did say when she says the administration never said or did what there is film of them saying and doing. -

I for one appreciate MSNBC filtering what is happening so that I don't have to think too hard for myself. They may want to stop calling themselves "News" and go with the more truthful "Partisan Censored Information Feed" but otherwise I am good here. -

Sadly, however, absent your contributions these dedicated hoes may not make it another week. The Packers cannot do this without your help! Won't you please help?! For only a dollar a day you can sponsor one of these women. That is less money than you throw on stage for the fat aging skank at a gentlemen's club as you reposition to the stage where the hot and extremely flexible Thai chick is dancing. -
Should not such tireless dedication be applauded?

I know that nature's first green is gold and her second green is the green and gold of the Green Bay Packers. The same gold as used by the Steelers. If it helps you I do recognize the gold on the helmets of the Fighting Irish. -

Saints are an expansion team and have no claim to the Steeler's, or the Hawkeye's heritage. -
