His major disadvantage is he has to sleep, and law enforcement works shifts right around the clock.

Maybe he was tossed from his pool league and his bowling league and jsut snapped. Or maybe he wanted some slow, large, overweight targets. He did not target a pilates class, he targeted bowlers and pool players. It would be pretty tough to miss your average bowler.

Imagine upstate Minnesota with all of those fish houses full of resources just waiting for the ice. The "shoping" in them would keep a fella going for quite some time. I saw a picture of this guy with a northern so he at least has fished some.

New office employee rants about working 9 to 5

The local stip club probably would only ask for a few shifts a week and then she could also get her aerobic exercise and meet guys. Alternatively she could become an independant contractor and could walk the streets on her own schedule with no boss whatsoever. -
Imagine if he preplaned an escape with prepositioned supplies. He is apparently somewhat trained so he might have considred an exit strategy. Maybe he is crazy but not stupid.

I did find that unusual. So unusual in fact that I at first was contemplating a two shooter scenario as were many I believe.

I don't know about Maine, but a guy, out in the woods with a rifle during hunting season in Wisconsin would not raise many red flags. If the weather remains mild and he is competent he does not have to come up for air. If the weather turns I suspect there are plenty of seasonal homes, currently unoccupied, from which he could get shelter and supplies. Pretty easy to hid out for a time in wooded, rural or wild America. I doubt he last much longer, but who knows. I am most familiar with wisconsin and could go to ground there indefinitely. I am nearly as familiar with Colorado and Wyoming and could evade capture for quite some in those locals. Hell, even in wooded areas I am not familiar with if they had varied topographjy and lakes and rivers I could do quite nicely. Hard winter could get a bit bleak, but otherwise I would fare fine and be tough to find.

I am not necessarily comfortable with a private citizen having responsibility to enforce federal or stte laws. If there is immunity for the private citizen so long as they followed a well defined procedure in good faith and acted in reliance on the state determination I have no problem with it. If the state begins expanding this to questions of what the private seller might have known through further inquiry, then I have difficulty since the state itself does not require that of licensed dealers.

And I defend your right to choose a weapon which is currently legal for your home/self defense.

Mine too.

Its like shooting off a 9 millimeter handgun a dozen times at once and it won't go through your walls and into the neighbors with killing force.

Your balanced and rational Court is another's out of control activist Court. We have gone down your road and found it bumpy and finally washed out. We need a new road, one which can only be traveled by an unequiocal amendment. Of course I recognize that one man's unequivocal is fodder for another's deliberate misinterrpretation, but I think it can be done.

New office employee rants about working 9 to 5

Being a grown up is not all it is perceived to be by college students, at least not those put through college on mommy and daddy's dime. Their classmates who had to work their way through know all about this. -
From the Underverse or from Underworld?

And those efforts have been turned back by the Court. This country needs an honest discussion and resolution of the issue and thus direction to the Court which can only conclusively be had by a constitutional amendment. As long as the current amendment is open to interpretation and reinterpretation the issue will live.

For my uses I have, but do not need a semiautomatic rifle. When I hunt my bolt action rifles and my lever action rifle are more than adequate. I have no need for my semiautomatic and have never used it for anything other than target shooting. I do find my semiautomatic shotgun helpful as when hunting waterfowl I often have the opportunity to shot multiple birds in a single flight. Sure my pump action allows me to shoot fairly fast, but not as accurately as my semiauto. As for my handguns not having to (o(k a double action allows more shots on target in a shorter amount of time, a handy feature, potentially. Myself, I am wary of those who like the looks of an AR 15. Sure it is a very capable platform, but those capabilities are not generally directly applicable to hunting, other than of persons. Some tell me it is a good home defense weapon. Me, i would prefer my bullpup shotgun or one of my pistols in a home defense scenario. Still, to each their own. As for those who don't like it, properly amend the constitution. Don't try to ignore it, amend it if you can.

Guys a dipshit, proudly displaying as he does a northern pike so damn small as to be little more than muskie bait. That is not a fish to be proud of, it is a fish that gets routinely thrown back. Oh, and of course the whole insane killing spree thing.
