Time for infrastructure week. Sadly I agree that the high road is always vacant.

I do not understand how republicans want a lame duck who will be consumed by additional attacks. I don't understand backward looking at a time when one can move forward on then high road.

I have no interest in spinning matters for Trump who I hold in incredibly low esteem. Laugh if you will as it is good medicine, but my post is about what the prosecution will have to prove which is the intent in his, Trump's, mind. That Trump was suspicious of the results when they came in in unusual patterns during the counting is not inherently unreasonable, and that is a hurdle the prosecution will have to overcome. You or I may accept the explanation for the swings in the counting. To me it is believable that different constituencies vote through different avenues and at different times and that fully explains a flood of votes for first the one and then the other, but not fully accepting that explanation, or rejecting that explanation does not strike me on its face as wholly unreasonable. That Trump questioned it and acted on his questions is not inherently outside the bounds of reason. In my particular case i begin to place it outside the bounds of reason based not necessarily on Trump's actions following the vote counts, but partially on his history and my dislike for him. I suspect others do as well. That said, that is not evidence. My suspicions about his narcisism and meglomania should not be evidence and I am simply trying against my own instincts to leave that open, for now. In the end I will listen to the prosecutions presentation. If the defense presents a defense I will listen to that as well.

Has anyone else met/shook hands with Mr Trump

Smelled like cabbage. Had small hands. Jessie Jackson had severe halitosis. Hillary was an aloof and dismissive person who made no eye contact with me who she clearly thought beneath her time. (The truth is I was beneath all of their time.) -
Were i trump's legal team I would consider trying this most recent matter to the court rather than to a jury. Juries in D.C. are composed of democrats who are emotional about this issue and who have an orthodoxy of thought which would not be amenable to Trunp's defense. The Court probably a bit less so, though who knows. The thing is, an appeals court is, in my mind, a bit more likely to overturn a judge than a jury. The indictment does not impress me, at first blush. I will wait to hear the case. Proving, or trying to prove, what was in the mind of a person like Trump will be interesting. Is it unlawful be be delusional, to hiold out hope, to be suspicious of unusual circumstances or trends in voting? I guess we shall see.

Lawsuit says police stood by for 13 minutes as her 30-year-old son drowned in the Tennessee River

Where does the officer leave his gun and cuffs when he goes in? He would not want to be dragged down by them. If he locks them in his car with whom, or where, does he leave the keys? He could take them with him, unless it were a key fob which would be ruined by the water. What of the cops bodycam. Does he disengage that as too heavy to go in the water? If he disengages the bodycam has he violatyed his department's protocols? What does the cop do with his radio while in the water. how does he communicate with the recue vessel and its personnel? -
Apparently the ad algorithm employed by this site has determined I must be a horny old goat. In sequence it tried to get me to click on Bridgit Bardot, then Margot Robbie, then Denise Richards. Pretty good shooting by that algorithm, but I did not respond. I can't wait to see its next ploy. Maybe it will figure I like the brunettes and serve up Kate Beckinsale. Who are you getting served up? Feel free to respond even ifthe algorithm has you pegged as gay.

It's a real shame what's happened to the FBI.

No he did not. He did not say it or state it, he implored that we be mindful that it does not. He recognized that it could and saw that possibility as a great evil to be assiduously avoided. -

I have observed that the high road generally has very little traffic while the low road is always congested. -

When one drains a swamp the drying silt releases horribly fetid swamp gases. That, combined with the dying fish and amphibians creates a nearly unbearable stench. -

Gender affirming care. Such an interesting phrase. I might replace it with "biological reality denial mutilation". I remember a time not so long ago where the left had movements to prevent circumcision and clitorectomy, particularly in male dominated societies in africa and the middle east. Those limited practices were considered barbaric mutilations. Now the more extreme procedures are considcered sound helath care by folks financially invested in the mutilations and by the left. Makes one wonder what tomorrow will bring.

Not my area of law but I believe there is no duty to rescue, generally, but if rescue is undertaken there is a duty to do so with reasonable competence under the circumstances. Also, if a rescue is apparently being undertaken such that others who might rescue therefore refrain, the attempted rescue or apparent rescue should not be abandoned. You don't get to deter others from undertaking the rescue. The officers here had no duty to rescue, but they may have a duty not to deter others from the attempt. -
...or tire of it quickly and regret the purchase? There is a range very conveniently located for me a few hundred yards from where I take out my kayak after a morning paddle and some fishing. i am thinking I might enjoy shooting maybe twenty arrows or so a day after I finish up paddling and fishing. Would I get bored with it quickly if I did? Would I become proficient shooting twenty times a day four times a week. I have hunted with a compound bow a few times but I would not say I have any particular proficiency with them. They are inherently accurate and easy to use. A recurve seems it would be more of a challenge and therefore more interesting.

Had a neighbor as a kid who would get his white tail every year using one. I use to watch him practice sometimes. He was pretty accurate at 35 yards or so which was his usual practice set up, or so it seems in my memory. I had another neighbor who fished with one. He was not very good. he never really got the hang of the refraction angle of water. The few times he got a fish it seemed to me he hit one in a school next to the one he was actually aiming at. -
Lost my favorite popper, a rapala ultralight with a black/brown back and an orange and yellow belly. That lure has been very successful for me in antagonizing bass to strike. Today it got a northern to rise in a reservior from which they have tried to eliminate the transplanted northern and tiger muskies. I was told they are all gone. Well at leat one remains and it has my lure and it snapped my 8 lb test line. That ended my fishing for the day as i did not carry any extras out with me today, though I generally do in the event i want to change up and go for perch or walleye or trout.

So, it looks like i could spend from $139 to $1192. If i do this I will probably start cheap since there is no guarantee it will hold my interest.
