Will Trump Supporters tolerate the Dow closing below 38,000?

If I was still earning I would look at it as an opportunity to buy into the market at reasoanble prices. Being retired, and drawing money out of the market as it plummets means the eventual rebound will catch me a bit short. Still, I believe I have sufficvient reserves, but the question is not about you or I, the question has to do with headlines, a 24 hour news cycle, and tendancies to panic and generations brought up on instant gratification. Patience has never been in long supply and has been shortened over the years. patience for money loses, even if just on papaer may be even less. Tthere is, in my mind, some number which will engender panic. is that a number starting with 37? Is it 36, or 35? Who knows. -

At the Canadian border we simply need signs directing them to processing points where Tim Horton's will be catering all the poutine they care to eat and Molson's will be three for one. They will willingly congragate at the processing center, get drunk, pass out, and then can be loaded onto flatbeds and driven 50 miles from the border where they will be released into the wild after getting an ear tag. If they try a second time they will be treated like we do nuisance bears and will be put down, humanely. -

We need motion sensors on the border. When motion is detected the first response is to play the Smiley Lewis classic, I Hear you knocking. If the person gets closer they ought to be gassed with skunk spray and the same colored dye they use in loaded stacks of money at the bank, something that will mark them for a week or more and will sicken them and those they encounter. Drones capable of firing bean bag rounds should be launched and Brute squads dispatched If they keep approaching they should be shot from the drones. The Brute squad would then turn on the electric fence and arm their tasers. If they touch the fence the Brute Squad should taze them and then reach through the fence with their clubs and pummel the prostrate forms. We should then dispatch drone robots incorporated into the fence to drag the bodies back away from the range of the motion sensors on the fence. The only exception should be for females 18 to 23 who are size fours or less. Members of the Brute squad would be empowered to pass them through the fence at their sole discretion. They would then be processed at State sponsored Gentlemen's clubs around the country for potential continued presence based on their attractiveness. -

Illegals flooded in with no effort to interdict them and no vetting whatsoever. Coming in there was no process because liberals wanted no process to slow the dreams of both themselves and the migrants. Now, on the way out there has to be vetting, due process, and that is correct, it is our system, but the asymetrical nature of proces and effort required between entry and deportation show a breakdown in the system. The system can be overwhelmed and it was intentionally so, and even evilly so by progressives. There is one lesson from all of this. We absolutely need to diligently, and even brutally and ruthlessly protect our border because once these illegals get here they take an inordinant amount of effort to get rid of. They are like squatters or ex-wifes. The next time a Tim tries to argue we shold let them in, push back since the cost of momentary humanitarianism is a world of legal cost when they turn out to not be worthy of the human dignity they were presumptively afforded. I am tired of shields being forged into swords. I am tired of being abused for my tolerance. I am tired of non-citizns and non-contributors demanding more of me as if by right. All that said, honor due process as that is a precious heritage, just remember the cost so the situation never arises again. Oh, and hold the cost against those who enabled this situation. -

If Trump defies the Supremes they can issue a show cause order for him to appear and answer why. If he answers unsatisfactorily he can be placed in their subterranian dungeon, if he does not appear they can issue a writ and have Dog the Bounty Hunter go after him. -

They could release Mecha-Rehnquist. It has been in development for several years. They have finaly perfected the eye lasers and its photon hand grenades, not to mention its temporary paralysis bad breath. Mecha-Rehnquist is an unstoppable force dedicated to enforcing Supreme Court Orders and answerable to no one, except Mecha-Sandra Day O'Connor. -

Colorado Trial to Disqualify Trump from the Ballot
Engorgeous George posted a topic in The Geek Club
Arguments in lawsuit using ‘insurrection’ clause to knock Trump off presidential ballots begins | PBS NewsHour I used a PBS link. There are other links to this, both local and national covering essentially the same story if one cares to look and one finds PBS links biased. Essentially there is an effort to keep Trump from being on the Colorado ballot next year. The argument is under Article 3 of the 14th amendment. The arguement is that those who engage in insurrection are not eligible for office if they have once taken an oath to uphold and protect the Constitution. I find the matter interesting for two reasons. First, the 14th amendment came about during reconstruction after the civil war. Fairly clearly the concept of "insurrection" being addressed by the amendment was the recently resolved civil war. To compare the disorderly riot of Jan. 6 to insurrection as contempalted at the time seem in apropos. There are other arguments with the language including whether it covers Presidents, but that is the main argument. Second, the judge hearing the matter is a democrat. I do not have any issue with that. But this particular judge made a contribution to a group specifically seeking to forward the very argument she is now hearing. She states she has an open mind and will not recuse herself, but to me the issue is not whether she does or not so much as the appearance of bias given her donation. How is her ruling, even if correct and fair, to be recieved in light of her contribution. The ruling will lack some moral authority given her contribution. Of course today how do you find a judge who is not from one side of the political spectrum or the other? Curious if any here are following this. -
