Color me incredulous that someone just sends money to women who ask and that those women just happen to be in the escort business. So I had to look up what seems to have upset this fellow of whom I have never heard. Apparently Nancy Mace was speaking to the Prayer Breakfast (and I admit I don't know what that is or entails, though I can imagine) and she was relating that she got up early to attend. She then stated that her fiance grabbed her by the waist to try to keep her in bed but she was not having it as she had to get to the Breakfast. Frankly I am not shocked by her little vignette, but I am fine if others are, like the gentleman about whom this thread has been discussing. Frankly her fiance seems like he could have been a bit more insistent or forceful. Not to the point of preventing her free will, of course, but to the point of making his point.

I can't think of any other poll of recent presidents and neither can you. Finally, as for the method of trying to ascertain a subjective matter, basically an opinion, it seems to weigh impressions fairly well. Now whether the sample polled was knowledgeable and reflective of national opinion is an open question, but your criticism seem like those of someone bent on not hearing the message sent and bent on trying to discredit that message before giving the matter any thought. Basically a reflexive response showing no analysis whatsoever.

I would have, unless the invitation came with transportation costs. I would not pay to travel to another city to attend a party where I would not know the people, their backgrounds in most cases, and where I would stick out like a sore thumb.

My point is that it is long past time we accept that each project will be a boondoggle. That is how we end up 36 trillion in debt. Stealing from the taxpayers and being irresponsible with the taxpayers money ought to be a felony. We are about two generations late in tackling this issue. The power to confiscatorily tax, to forcibly take the fruits of ones labor ought to come only with the high resonsibility to be fiscally responsible with that forcibly taken wealth.
