Twenty Six Threads About Fawking Political Threads On The Main Page
Engorgeous George replied to BunnysBastatrds's topic in The Geek Club
And not enough about using ones fingers. -
It may be that deportation is a moral wrong though it is legally justified. If it is a moral wrong then that point can be made and will resonate without the cheap theatrics seeking to in some cases interfere with the legitimate speech rights of others and in other cases to obstruct law enforcement. If there is enough gravitas to break the law in civil disobedience then own that, don't try to claim that there was not civil disobedience, that the unlawful was somehow not unlawful. Own the actions proudly. That would place one in the ranks, though lesser, of Gandi and King, righteous company to be among I would say.

Not in the post I responded to you did not. There you were all Sieg Heil.

This Senator Padilla all over again or the congressperson from jersey. This is unknowns seeking to make a name for themselves pretending to stand up for something so they can get attention as martyrs for the cause. Its cheap theatre.

Asking is justified and non-objectionable. DEMADING while physically embracing the wanted person so as to prohibit them from being secured into custody is not. Even his attorney, if he had one, would not have been allowed to do what this Comptroller did. This was an officious intermeddler obstructing justice, nothing more, other than he could also be called a media strumpet seeking a viral moment to feed the ignorant who do not understand the law so he can have a campaign issue, a manufactured one.

Israel attacks Iran UPDATE: Trump claims a cease fire among all countries
Engorgeous George replied to Frozenbeernuts's topic in The Geek Club
He should post as Archie Bunker if that reference is not now too archaic. -
Some of them have also seen several episodes of Law and Order and have watched My Cousin Vinny multiple times.

No longer a lawyer. I informed the courts a bit over two years ago that I wished to be removed from admission to practice law in Colorado, Minnesota, and the Federal bar due to some health issues. Now I am just a sh1thouse rat crazy phuck with too much time on my retired hands. If the weather was better here today I would be out kayaking, but since it sucks I am displaying my brand of crazy here for others to see and laugh at.

But it was made in an unlawful, and therefore unreasonable manner.

That is actually textbook obstruction, but you do you. The New York City Comptroller had no standing in the matter whatsoever.

In fairness social media is still relatively new. If not William Henry Harrison might have thrown down on it, who knows? -
Trump birthday military parade debacle
Engorgeous George replied to Ron_Artest's topic in The Geek Club
Maybe he should have allowed those folks who have purchased Trump Sneakers and Trumpy Bears to march in formation. That might have increased attendance. -

So you inflated your numbers with worldwide Pride events. Interesting. Why did you not add in attendees at farmers markets and baseball games? -

Is it tens of millions now? Sounds to me as deranged as Trump math. -
"No Kings" rallies - More than 5 million took part in over 2,100 US cities & towns
Engorgeous George replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
I am old enough to remember when movements tried to have their protest rallies on the National Mall. They wanted to boast of the Million Man this or the Million woman that. Now, they are outsourcing them to localities. That must be convenient for those who no longer have to make the travel commitment of the old days. Why had i wanted to attend one of these demonstrations I could have only 6 miles from my home in a fairly red county. I did not attend. I chose to spend the time with my family. We viewed the Angkor exhibit at the Museum and then had lunch. -
The multiple murderer also shot the family's dog.

I have.

I would not make the mistake Reagan made and which you want to repeat. I would not reward those who have violated our borders, our soveriegnty. I would deport them all. I would not listen to their sob stories that we are disrupting families or communities. The reason I would not is that it would encourage, it would justify continuing the cycle of illegal immigration, just as it has. Additionally it is an insult to those who have properly stood in line and have legally sought entry. Now me, I would expand the number of legal immigrants we take in each year. I would expand the guest worker program as well. Additionally I would allow each Congressperson and Senator to sponsor up to ten nuclear families per year so long as they otherwise qualifified for admittance and citizenship. I would massively tighten the asylum program so that not every sob story sister can get in. I would assure that asylum can only be applied for from outside our borders, not inside. I would tighten and clarify birthright citizenship including the fact that it does not come with the right to be raised in this country by parents who are illegal, it does not confer citizenship or residency rights on the parents. If illegals have kids here maybe the kid is a citizen and should be allowed to return when they reach the age of majority after their parents raise that kid in their country of citizenship. In the end you look to support and comfort those who have jumped the line, who have broken the law. I look to support and comfort those who have and are standing in line, who are honoring our law. One stance gives us borders and soveriegnty, one stance does not.

Taco Tuesday tomorrow. Local watering hole has $1 steak tacos, soft shell. They are pretty decent. I may just have to stop in.

I would ask tom Homan the same question I asked Tim who could not answer. What does Tom Homan mean when he says violent? Does he mean physical force was applied and injury resulted? What about your garden variety stalker, is that violent? I know if my daughter were stalked by an obsessed illegal who had suggested he would hurt her if she did not take him back, or even agree to take him the first time I would not want that person to be able to remain. Say they were convicted, got 30 days and an anger management course. Would I feel safe, would my daughter? The recidivism rate there is high and frankly he would have already dome substantial violence to her psyche if not her physical being. The concept of violence is being thrown around but who knows what it means unless we get more indepth by offering comprehensive definitions..

Ex-Vikings player blames Tim Walz for Minnesota lawmaker killings: 'Example of a weak, emasculated leader'
Engorgeous George replied to League Champion's topic in The Geek Club
You might want to google him before decalring him a moron or someone unworthy of being heard. He is not without accomplishments. He is also a pretty nice guy. -
As a former prosecutor I had to consider at least 1000 times the ramifications of plea deals as to how those would effect immigration status. Taht is why I raised the subject of moral turpitude and violent misdemeanors. That is why I am familar with the table I linked above. I thought it would provide a more indepth understanding of issuesd. Doing so is probably not as fulfilling as name calling back and forth but I thought there may be room for it in the discussion nonetheless.
