It's very rare for a case to occur in someone over 20 years old as we have a thicker chest wall as adults. The added muscle mass in athletes should also reduce this risk as well.

I'm skeptical its commotio cordis as its typically caused by impact from a puck or ball. The additional padding of a football player substantially reduces that risk. I thought the question was if Myocarditis can increase the risk of a cardiovascular event and that answer is yes. If this was a 1 in a 100 million thing, I'm just not sure armchair physicians can diagnose it through their television.

Why are you sold on it being commotio cordis and only that? That wasn't even the official diagnosis from the hospital. Commotio Cortis is triggered by a small object that hits the heart at a high rate of speed and has a very pointed impact. Shoulder pads don't cause commotio cortis. Never have and likely never will.

You brought up the natural immunity as far as getting covid. You seemed to want to discount it as much as you can. It didn't work for my parents who had the vaccine, but is seeming to somehow hold strong for my immediate family... so I'm not sure why you're trying to drawing conclusions 180 degrees different from the data. Maybe you can point me to the data or study that shows how well people are doing who had covid first and got the vaccine after, vs getting the vaccine first and getting covid after. Ah yes, but I should assume that 3 cases between 6 people would have been better with multiple vaccines and also my parents who are going through multiple bouts of covid right now would have been better with more vaccines. More vaccines = Better regardless of outcomes. This Anecdotal evidence is also known as real world evidence which should be the end all for evidence.

Between my wife, myself and 4 kids... 0 vaccines. 1 confirmed case of covid19. 1 serology confirmation of covid 19 with limited symptoms. 1 case of loss of taste and smell in early 2020 without a test. I assume all of the kids have had it being in the same house, but they've never had symptoms. On the flip side, my parents are on their third+ bout with 3+ vaccines.
