Timmy’s thread for general discussion
crackattack replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
A shitty way to lose a bet, but technically Tim lost because he wanted to settle now. Technically there is no Democrat nominee yet. He'll, Biden could pass away tomorrow and you'd lose. Tim you are correct that you won the "spirit of the bet", but that's worth nothing when betting You should've just waited. If one of my friends pulled shenanigans like this. Doorbell. Face. Wife and kids. -
Tough to say. He's looked good in spring training. I would think most definitely before all-star break. But if Cleveland is in a playoff run, they might just let him walk at the end of the year. That would be odd for Cleveland to do. I would say yes. Cubs and Reds make perfect sense as trade partners.

And Espino out for the year again. I feel for that young man. Absolutely filthy when healthy, but nothing but injuries after injuries. I'm starting to think he might never pitch in the bigs. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.mlb.com/amp/news/daniel-espino-shoulder-surgery-2024.html&ved=2ahUKEwj5gtnks_SEAxVqmokEHSWfD-sQFnoECDAQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2a-QV4XNxZ6_lK8yG4LvHv

I'd keep an eye out for Espino. He's a starting pitcher. He's had health issues, but is finally healthy. He can hit 103 with his fastball, and has two wipe out "sliders". Ones is a low 80's breaker and one's a mid 90's hard slider. Like I told Hardcore troubadour up above, he's been compared to DeGrom when healthy.

Reds should win their division. 81.5 seams low to me. Mariners are a WC team imo. Astros are still the team in that division. But God I'm happy baseball is back. Already planning a couple trips to go watch my Guardians.

So you stick around for 5 or 6 posters? -
Stuff like this is why the Dems still win elections

Agree -
Purdue and IU rivalry is back to normal. Last year was a fluke.
-
Gavin Williams is the future ace. Daniel Espino has been compared with DeGrom, but can't stay healthy. If he can, and the comparisons are true, another great young arm to keep an eye on.
-
I think so. Cleveland is loaded with good young pitchers. Look for Clase to possibly get moved also. Been talk all off-season about a Beiber/Clase package for a power hitting outfielder.
-
He's young. I also wouldn't be surprised if he hits a little bit of a sophomore slump this year either. He's got tons of potential though. They wanted some thump in the lineup and Zunnino was cheap, but yes, wasted time. Us fans wanted him starting from day 1.
-
I like him. He's got top 10 type production for catchers in him imo. He'd be one I'd like to see extended. His brother too.
-
As a Cleveland fan I'm angry, sad, and jealous all at once. I wish Cleveland would spend like this on great young talent, and yes, BWJ can be elite. He already kind of is. Good job by KC.

They showed a stat during that game which makes the comeback even more crazy. Wisconsin was 120-0 when leading by 15 or more at the half. It was a 16 point lead. Nebraska was something like 1-60 when trailing by more then 15 at half.

MALE STUDENT REPORTEDLY DOMINATING GIRLS SPORTS AT SAN FRANCISCO HIGH SCHOOL
crackattack replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
Women should just try harder or get back in the kitchen!! :sarcasm:. Liberals are going to kill women sports if they don't start speaking out on this. It's happening more and more. Even after they assured people this kind of stuff wouldn't happen. Or if it did happen it's just outliers. So focking sad and dumb. -
Hopefully this year is different. One more year of experience for their guards. Guard play is everything in the tournament. They were true freshman last year. It feels like a different team this year. Who knows.
-
Purdue looking good. Hopefully no disappearing job in March. Kansas.........ouch.
-
Sagarin is typically the best out there.
-
I'm using Sagarin over that. Or the other link I provided. FSU didn't have the 55th SOS.
-
Where are you getting this from? Sagarin had them 10th and this has them 11th. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/ranking/season-sos-by-other&ved=2ahUKEwjM-fyOy_aCAxUoAHkGHRzJBEEQFnoECBkQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2SEjcfj1rkXuK_kvXmErbw
-
I honestly don't think they will either, but that's why you play the game.
-
. Georgia will probably win. So what? FSU could win. So what? It's meaningles. FSU should be playing Washington.
-
How many games did Alabama squeak out against weaker teams? 2 or 3? This is why the eye test fails. Alabama looked bad a few games this year. Had qb issues earlier in the season. Their starting qb now was benched a couple weeks because he sucked. What if he reverts back? I truly get the "4 best" argument. I do. It just sucks for FSU because of their injury situation. If Travis was still playing FSU would be in. Eta: FSU had the 11th toughest SOS.
-
Yes. Pick the team that's unbeaten and a conference champ. They might get smoked. So what? Michigan might smoke Alabama. Texas could smoke Washington. FSU earned it.
