The money spent was in my link. Total was 48 million to 30. I believe history is an important part of elections. Yes. 20 years in an arbitrary span to use. If 20 why not 30, 40, 50. You stopped at 20 to fit the narrative you wanted to use.
-
3 Republican governors since WW2, but I see how you made it sound more competitive. Well done
-
Democrats spent 48 million on this race to Republicans 30. It wasn't close money wise.
-
They're trying to make this something it's not. 1. Big name recognition. 2. Extremely popular governor. 3. History of voting for Democratic governors. 4. Out spent their opponent. Their only argument is abortion and Trump. If that was the case they should've won SOS and AG. Those other 2 were blowouts.

It's not lazy to state facts. Kentucky loves them some split government. They factually almost always vote for a Democratic governor while voting republican on almost everything else. It's been this way for decades. Beshear and democrats out spent Republicans also. I just don't get what's so hard to grasp here.
-
Oh boy are you wrong on the money issue. Beshear out spent Cameron by 18 million. Maybe most ever for a republican in Kentucky, but way behind the democrat. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/11/07/kentucky-governor-election-results-2023/%23:~:text%3DElection%202023,-Carousel%20%2D%20%24Election%202023%26text%3DThe%20Kentucky%20governor's%20race%20drew,far%20behind%20Beshear's%20in%20fundraising.&ved=2ahUKEwjRxPa31rSCAxU5tokEHWPwCmAQFnoECAwQBQ&usg=AOvVaw3Q_W_CKgE9utqkOTsTbVMt

I might have one leg, but I'm in way better shape then stick.

So. Let's look at this. In kentucky, democrats lost 2 out of 3 of the top elections. Reelected a popular incumbent governor. In Virginia, the democrats will hold the state senate and win a few seats to take back the house. Maybe I'm not seeing what Tim is, but I always thought Virginia was a tougher place for Republicans to win. This would not concern me too much.
-
I see him more old school moderate liberal. He reminds me of Bill Clinton.
-
I hear ya!
-
Yes.
-
I would. Beshear is a very popular name in Kentucky. His dad was a governor and a career Kentucky politician. This is not the win you think it is.
-
He's a portly fellow.
-
Beat me to it
-
Kentucky has only elected 3 republican governors since WW2. This isn't anything new or shocking.
-
Then start a thread about Bobby and his politics. Don't take a shitt on him in the RIP thread. Focking thick people.
-
You must be new here? Every non political thread has some dooshbag turning it political one way or another. They can't help themselves.

The Young Turks: Gallup Polls Indicate America's Trust In Media At Historic Low
crackattack replied to Blue Horseshoe's topic in The Geek Club
Hey Tim! Since you are right on every topic, even when in the minority of a topic or issue, why have you not ran for a political office? With your knowledge and always correct on every topic, surely you could fix all the nations problems. I've never seen someone who's always right on everything do so little with that knowledge. Every dang topic you and almost always you alone are correct. It's almost Trumpish level of narcissistic behavior. Congrats -
Remember Hillary Clinton saying this: "Remember, Israel left Gaza. They took out all the Israelis. They turned the keys over to the Palestinian people and what happened? "Hamas took over Gaza, so instead of having a thriving economy with the kind of opportunities that the children of the Palestinians deserve, we have a terrorist haven that is getting more and more rockets shipped in from Iran and elsewhere” Even Hillary knew that obviously Palestinians can't govern themselves. They need the extremists in charge. They need the Israeli boogeyman. They want terrorists in charge in order to kill Israelis. Unfortunately I feel very little empathy for the plight of the Palestinians.
-
I'm not. I don't care how many shots someone gets. Was just curious.
-
Again, if I remember correctly, Arafat was the last Palestinian leader to call for a two state solution and Israel's right to exist. It took him a couple decades of terrorism and then realizing he wasn't going to defeat Israel before he shifted though. So after he died they elect Hamas and quickly disbanded elections and now have multiple terrorist organizations in their territory. All in which call for death to Israel.
-
History of Palestinian elections have always favored extremists. I doubt they would have shifted towards a more "moderate" party. Ever. Not after 2005 and not now.

Who Is An Actress You Think Is As Worthless As A Bag Of used Tampons?
crackattack replied to BunnysBastatrds's topic in The Geek Club
Most of them. Well, unless they showing them titties!!! I kid I kid. -
If I remember correctly, their choices have always or mostly been between the PLO or Hamas. Both are extremist groups if not outright terrorist organizations. I know Hamas is. Not sure if the PLO is considered one anymore?? Eta: so yes, I'd say most Palestinians are extremists. And I'd say that confidently.
-
Once Hamas took over they canceled elections. You know, like all terrorist organizations do.
