    Jets Rb's

I don't know about that. The Jets traded to get Ivory when they already had Powell. If they thought much of Powell, they wouldn't have traded for his replacement. Ivory's been hurt forever (he gets hurt all the time), but now that he's healthy it looks like they want to make him the man. Powell wasn't hurt, and Ivory was only averaging 3 ypc against the Pats, and Ivory still got over 30 touches. I think Ivory is the power back that they want for their run-first offence. If Ivory keeps averaging 3 ypc that could change, but I think the job is his to lose based on what we saw on Sunday.

Jeff Garcia tells Browns he's Available

He'd be an upgrade... And his wife is hot, so there's that.

Dallas Cowboys possibly trading for RB

Mark Ingram could be had for next to nothing. He really hasn't been given a chance in a running offence. He could at least match TRich's 3 ypc, and wouldn't cost a first round pick.

    Aaron Rodgers Owners

With the injuries on defence I expect there will be lots of passing. Their LBs have been decimated. While they want to run the ball, I think they'll be forced to throw allot in the coming weeks. And its not like Rodgers is without guys to throw it to. He can even make the scrubs called up from the practice squad look good.

    Freeman to start

I'm not sure why people are seeing this as a positive for Minnesota pass catchers. Freeman couldn't complete more than 50% of his passes in an offence that he knew, with receivers that he was comfortable with. Now he's going to a new team, new system, new receivers and people think he'll be better than Ponder/Cassell? I know Ponder and Cassell were crap, but I'm having a tough time getting excited about Freeman improving any of the receivers there.
  6. His TDs will have to come from a long way out too, with Greene around to vulture TDs. He's certainly capable of breaking off a long TD run, but its hard to count on.

    Gordon and Cameron owners...

Gordon gets a ton of targets, Weeden sucks but has a strong arm, and there's a good chance they'll be playing from behind in allot of those games. Gordon is an excellent WR going forward.
  8. I find it hard to believe that Jacobs will suddenly become a good RB. He looked awesome against Chicago, but he's an old, slow back running behind a poor O-line, for a team that can't stop anyone on D. I have a tough time seeing him being useable, but with injuries and the shortage at RB I guess he's worth a pickup. Allen is the star of that group and should be picked up immediately. I really like the Charger's offence, and it looks like Allen will be a centerpiece. V. Brown had potential, but it doesn't look like he'll be more than their 2nd WR. Douglas has never produced when given an opportunity. Can't see it happening now. Boykins - I doubt he will see enough targets to be relevant. Randle may be good for this week, but loses allot of value when Murray gets back (or Dunbar).

Waiver WR Scoop and Play (Week 6)

Austin wasn't doing much when he was healthy. I can't see them just benching Williams for Austin even if he comes back this week. It would make allot more sense for Austin to slid into the slot as they ease him back in - don't want that hammy to flare up again. I think Williams will be the better play for this week at least.

    Lance Moore worth a stash?

I'd go Simpson. Moore seems to have faded into oblivion this year. I know he was hurt lately, but even when healthy he's been an afterthough this season. If Freeman starts, maybe he makes Simpson viable. Even if Cassell is the starter Simpson might be a decent WR4. The only concern is if/when they start to get Patterson more involved in the offence, will it be at Simpson's expense?

The Edelman train... when do we jump?

I like VJax allot better. VJax put up great numbers with Freeman, and Glennon has a big arm, perfect for a receiever like VJax. I think Edleman will just be inconsistent going forward. I'm sure he'll have some good games, but with Amendola, Gronk, Thompkins and even Dobson around he'll have some bad games too. You'll never know when you can safely start him.
  12. I think he's a decent WR3. But people shouldn't expect much more than that. Teams have been taking away Marshall and leaving Jeffery with man coverage, and he's beating that. Now Marshall is pouting and teams will have to respect Jeffery. I expect this next game will feature allot more of Marshall.

Garrett Graham: 2013's Jacob Tamme 2010

I grabbed him a few weeks ago as a stash, and now I'm glad I did. He'll fill in for me this week for Gonzo. Hopefully he has a big week and then I can trade him.

    Time to drop MJD now

He's got a brutal schedule coming up too. Barring an unlikely trade, he's pretty useless.

    Brandon Jacobs....breakout?

11 carries for 23 yards. They will be passing a ton, and Scott will be in for allot of that.

    Terrance Williams

I drafted Williams in a dynasty league, figuring that Austin's hammy's would flare up at some point. Austin didn't do much this season even when healthy. If Williams keeps producing, I don't see how they can just give Austin his old job back. At worst I think Williams and Austin split time. At best they demote Austin - he hasn't been good in years.

    Spiller/Fjax ROS/Until Manuel comes back

I don't think teams were terrified of Buffalo's passing game before and they were stil an effective running team, so I don't think that's as big of an impact. The bigger problem will be if Lewis can't sustain drives, then the running backs won't get as many opportunities. There will be plenty of touches, but I don't know if there will be allot of 3 and outs because of the passing game.

Steven Jackson and the Julio effect

While I don't expect allot of rushing production, SJax is a good pass catcher so he can make up the yardage. While they play some good defences, none of the next bunch of offences is very good until NO in week 12, so they probalby won't be playing in catch-up mode a whole lot. So, SJax will still get plenty of opportunities while they're still in close games. I don't know. I can't say I'm terribly high on him, but he's not worth much in a trade until he comes back and does something.

New York Jets at Atlanta Falcons - In-Game Discussion

Why go for it on 4th down. Take the 3 points.
  20. I'm up 20 points with Gonzo tonight, and my opponent has White and Powell going. Feeling pretty good about my chances. I have the most points against in this league, so I'm due for one - which likely means that White/Powell set NFL scoring records tonight.
  21. I got rid of him last week. Its not long until Vereen returns. Remember that before Vereen got injured it was already looking like he would take over for Ridely. With Ridley hurt, Blount and Bolden in the mix, and Vereen looming, I see no upside with Ridley. Sell while the memory of 2012 is still with some owners.

    Ray Rice - buy low

I managed to pick him up for cheap last week. Unfortuantely I was Manninged and I need an heroic performance from Matt Ryan tonight.

Come back to Green Bay Flynn. We need an upgrade on our clip board holder.

    Vikings signed Josh Freeman

So, does Ponder get released once Freeman is up to speed? I can't see them carrying 3 veteran QBs, and they're obviously keeping Freeman. While I guess its possible for them to carry 3, I think it more likely they would just move on with Freeman and Cassel and let Ponder get a fresh start somewhere else.
