This specific situation, I’m not sure. I haven’t dug into it past some news blurbs and edited body cam. My initial lean, if you will, is against the officer. This is a tough one though. Most interactions with an armed person don’t occur like this. There’s usually some type of brandishing, a threat, furtive movement, refusal to obey commands, etc.

No they don’t. They’re judged by the reasonable officer test. If a reasonable officer would know that what they did was wrong, there’s no defense.

Do you think there’s a special secret list of rights police can’t violate? I’d start with the Constitution as an “established” source. Are you saying people don’t know that police have to adhere to constitutional rights or are you saying people dont know what’s in the Constitution?

These peoples lives were ruined over lies. No un-vaxxed people had any ill effect on others. In fact, being vaxxed put you at higher risk of getting Covid. This superspreader sh!t and all of the “pandemic of the unvaxxed” was all lies.

So how exactly does this work, Tim? Based on common interpretation, you spent about 16% of your summer in Turkey. Do fancy people pick the most exciting thing they did to describe how they spent their summer, regardless of how long they did it? Or is it a time thing? If I went to the beach for 7 or 10 days in August, should I say I spent my summer at the beach? Let’s say, on your return trip, you were detained for 15 days by TSA for smuggling a young Turkish boy. Would you say you spent your summer in federal custody or in Turkey? How about you met a buddy for golf, and you spent 16% of your day commuting to and from the course. You just happened to shoot your best score ever, and then got laid later that night. Would you consider that you spent your day in the car?

This is wild. It’s one thing to fight against not changing the names in the first place, it’s another to actually change them back. This is pretty shocking considering the level of wokeness in America. This place doesn’t appear to be very far from DC on a map.

So that’s it? Other countries can just pass laws and be identical to America? Has someone told them?

Yes, they did. I’m just thinking abortion is enough to keep them blue and the economy won’t be enough to swing them to Trump.

My gut tells me abortion, although not a priority for most voters, will be a big issue for the suburban white women who could easily swing this election in the direction of either candidate. They probably just happen to be a demographic who isn’t quite as affected by economy. We’ll see. I’m mostly basing this on a solid red Ohio codifying abortion last year. Anecdotally, my wife fits that demographic and she talks often about her conservative leaning friends and co-workers talking about it. It’s not that they would have ever sought an abortion themselves, it’s more about the principle of controlling their actions. Thoughts?
