Hard to say but I'm gambling right now. I finished selling my bond stuff (TLT) for a big win and went full in on a growth fund for a bounce. Sue hope this total gamble pays off and we are up tomorrow. If so, i'll sell and watch from the sidelines.

Bernie Sanders is the reason stock market is doing so well. Per CNN.
lod001 replied to tubby_mcgee's topic in The Geek Club
Well the article did say that because Bernie is doing well, he may get the nod and then get trounced by Trump. So it's kinda true. He is good for the market because everyone knows Trump will give him a massive general election beatdown. Yet the most intriguing explanation is that the success of Sanders is actually bullish for stocks. That's because investors view Sanders as an easy foil for President Donald Trump. And a Trump reelection would signal a continuation of the low taxes and light regulation that investors love, not to mention an obsessive-focus on the stock market. -
The aren't low. They were at nosebleed levels and are off 3-7%. That would be a normal correction from normal levels. We are at overvalued levels and the threat of a virus sending the world economies into recession. If a recession hits, it will be a 25% beatdown. Odds are favorable for a dead cat bounce & more selling. Here is a chart of sell offs from previous virus outbreaks. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/02/24/avoid-this-investing-mistake-as-coronavirus-fears-grip-the-markets.html Wea re jsut at 5% right now. I would not go all in for sure and I would really be leery of a deadcat bounce.

Decades of sexual harassment accusations against Harvey Weinstein

Good to finally see that piglet get what's coming to him. -
2 ways to look at it. IF you bailed last week and were strictly in the S&P, you just netted 2.5% vs the field. However, if a recession gets triggered by the virus, the thing to do is stand on the sidelines if you did not already get into TLT. The service sector PMI was negative on Friday. Huge miss and a contraction in the sector is not good. The virus could scare the average person to stay home instead of going out and spending $.

Imagine the great work she could do if we could convict her of crimes and lock her up. She would finally be doing something good for the country. -

How much money would you need to just retire at 40 years old?
lod001 replied to The Moz's topic in The Geek Club
Most people that retire early never contemplate the cost of health insurance and end up going back to work. I'll retire somewhere in between 62-65. Mainly because my employer will be paying 50% of my health insurance. Between investments, pension and SS we will probably make more retired than working. We would both quit right now if we could. Right before I retire I paln on getting every test done I can talk my Dr into. Stress test for heart, colonoscopy, etc. I will get my $ worth for paying for health insurance. -

Agents seized enough meth for 2.3 million individual doses in massive bust at Forest Park home In the fight to combat drug addiction in the United States, Drug Enforcement Agents announced some good news - a massive seizure of methamphetamine connected to a Mexican drug cartel, taken off the streets of Atlanta and out of the cartel's supply chain. Pelosi, Schumer, Mad Maxine, Shifty Schiff, AOC and the other 3 wh0res are pissed that their supply chain was busted. Scream for completely open borders. -
Amazing that he's not dead. How does the front of another car hit the open area on the driver side at that speed and he's barely hurt.

Watching those idiots cry is gold, Jerry. Anyone that wrapped up in the presidential election has serious mental issues. -
Bolton's a worthless POS. Always has been, always will be. One of the few mistakes Trump has made.
