Stock Market bubble - will crash

Wait, if you sold out of the money calls, shouldn't you be down if TSLA is up 20%. If not, do you mean you sold out of the money calls at 25% out? If so, wouldn't they be selling for like $0.05 per contract?

Scouring the wire for receiver help

Good list. I like everyone but Lockett. I'd probably put Bateman at the top.

    Jury duty pay.

They seemed to ask everyone a bunch of questions. For me they were like, "occupation and age?" And then they moved on. I didn't even get a chance to tell anybody a sob story. I'm quite ugly and an engineer, so you'd think they'd want me gone, but I made it on. I went in wanting to get the guy exonerated for his DUI, and I could have. The folks on the jury were a bunch of pushovers I could've ran over, but he was guilty as sin, so I went the other way and steamrolled the two hold outs try to get him exonerated. The last guy was adamant that he wasn't going to convict, and I said, "do you just want to come back tomorrow for the $15?" He turned beat red and switched his verdict 45 seconds later.

    Jury duty pay.

Also California says they pay $15/day, but they don't. When I was leaving they asked if I wanted the money or do I want to waive it. I was like, "hell yeah I want the money," and they were supposed to send me a check, but I never got it.

    Jury duty pay.

I was on a jury once. Most of the people say something along the lines of they don't trust cops. Or a cop killed their cousin or something. If the jury pool I was in reflected the population, we have a real problem with cops killing people's cousins.

I drafted Pickens expecting Wilson to elevate him. I ended up trading him away since they were running the single wing offense, but I guess he's back.

    Roulette Stratery

It's a negative EV bet looking at his math. 4 potential outcomes while betting $15 on black and $10 on column. 1. He wins $5 37.8% of the time (black number not in his column) 2. He wins $5 21.6% of the time (red number in his column) 3. He wins $35 10.8% of the time (black number in column) 4. He loses $25 29.8% of the time. Expected value (EV) is then $5 x (.378 + .216) + $35 x (.108) - $25 x (.298) EV = $5 x (.594) + $3.78 - $7.45 EV = $2.97 + $3.78 - $7.45 EV = -$0.70 So you'd expect to lose 70 cents on average everytime you make this bet with a single 0 wheel. In other words after 100 times making this bet, you should be down around $70. After 1000 times you should be down around $700. That's right around the house advantage ($0.7/$25 = 2.8%). I didn't do the arithmetic for a 00 included, but I'm sure you'd average about a $1.40 loss every spin. Now what this gentlemen is doing is taking advantage of expected growth (EG) by essentially giving odds to the house by betting a large amount to win a small one most of the time. He's accumulating a lot of small wins banking that he won't hit a string of losses. Conclusion... if you're going to play roulette, which I wouldn't recommend, this isn't necessarily a bad strategy for a slow burn, but you'll eventually run across that string of losses and get wiped out. The danger is going to be if you can maintain discipline and walk away when up the preset amount and not pull more money out when you hit your loss limit which most people wouldn't be able to do. They go on tilt with a loss and everything goes downhill.
  11. The Justin Fields train may be getting derailed. And even though the Steelers passing attack was rather anemic, Fields makes for a good fantasy QB.

Week Early Waiver Wire (Wk 7)

Kimani Vidal Sassoon Gus looks pretty washed, and is on IR. I don't think Harbough wants to give Dobbins 30 touches a game, and if he continues to do so, he'll break down anyway. And Vidal happens to be pretty good.

Trade: Bills Acquire WR Amari Cooper

Saying they haven't made a decision on whether he will play is exactly what I'd expect them to say if they were planning to get him involved right away.

    Chiefs WR's

I'm backed into having to start juju. Waddle doesn't have a QB. Amari is probably not going to be involved, and even though I know Marvin Harrison is overrated, I ended up with him on a team, and even if he plays I won't know until it's too late.

Bench D? Can only lose with neg points

Churning the wire is usually prevented in that a player must be on a roster for a day before they revert to waivers after being dropped. If I didn't have that rule in place and someone churned the wire, I wouldn't invite that manager back to the league. I wouldn't care if someone wanted to take a 0 in a spot in order to secure a win.

    Akers to Vikings

Surprised at this one. I didn't have the impression that Aaron Jones was going to miss significant time, but now the antenna is up. I suppose they're just trying to shore up their depth, maybe.

Trade: Bills Acquire WR Amari Cooper

Jeudy is not a number 1 receiver and he's soft. I wouldn't burn a waiver spot on him, and I wouldn't even pick him up unless I had a wasteland on my bench. Although it appears the Browns are giving up on the season, so maybe Jeudy could have some value if they go to Jameis.

Trade: Bills Acquire WR Amari Cooper

Interesting trade. I'm an Amari investor, and I suppose it can't get worse than what's happening in Cleveland, so I'll consider it a value bump for Cooper. I don't trust the Bills very much though. They've been doing a lot of weird things with their offense the past couple of years. For instance, they ran 3 wide receiver sets almost exclusively for several years with Cole Beasley and then Isaiah McKenzie in the slot. Then they draft Shakir, and all he ever does is get open so he seemed like a natural fit to take over that slot role for them, but then last year they draft Dalton Kincaid, and immediately start running predominately 12 personnel (1 back, 2 tightends, and 2 receivers) instead of their usual 11 personnel (1 back, 1 tightend, and 3 receivers). So it's like, "okay, you've just done everything you can to keep Shakir off the field, so you must think he sucks." But then they trade Diggs away, let Gabe Davis go, and thrust Shakir into a pretty important role, so then it's like, "well, okay, do you think Shakir is good now?" Start of the year, they are featuring Shakir, and everything seems great. Then now they trade for Cooper, so maybe they think Shakir isn't good again? They can't seem to make up their mind. My fear with Cooper is they might keep up this schizophrenia on what they want to be as an offense. Are they just adding Cooper because the price is right? To keep him away from the Chiefs? Do they actually plan to use him? Or are they going to give him the Diggs treatment or was Diggs lack of playmaking in the offense of his own doing? I'm obviously overthinking this, but it's just hard to trust a receiver in this Bills offense starting from when Joe Brady took over.

Oh wait. I just realized you must be talking about Brian Robinson. Still wouldn't do it if I was on that end.

Not sure why the bijan/Higgins side would take it. Those are the two best players out of the whole deal.
