  1. 5 pts at 200 yds

    1 pt for every 10 after 200

    td's : 1-9 yds = 6pts, 10-39 = 9 pts, 40 yds+ = 12 pts

Both of these guys have pretty good matchups I think. Right now I'm leaning towards Griese since he did decent against Detroit last time and it was his first game starting, but what's the weather supposed to be like? Anderson plays in a dome this week against St. Louis so weather won't be a factor and St. Louis' D is just as bad as Detroit. Ugh.... any thoughts?

  2. Haas WR 83. looked good on individual drills. Caught everything. Very good speed and quickness.

Just curious if anyone thinks Haas has a shot at making the team this year. Being a Beavs fan I'd love to see him actually catch on with someone.

  3. Our league actually awards points to both the team defense AND the individual player (we don't use IDP). So if you had the Bears D and Hester in your lineup, you're a happy man. It sounds nuts to most I'm sure, but like it was stated earlier, if someone has the marbles to actually start someone like Hester or D. Hall as a WR, why not give them the points?

  4. Thanks for the replying guys.

There should be 4-5 guys tops drafting in the first. If I figured right. The rest are keeping players. We don't know where we're going to be drafting until we're about to start. Which makes it a bit more difficult as far as planning and why I'm having a tougher time deciding which would be the best way to go. I'm guessing I'll just dump the team and take who I can.

  5. Hey guys,

In our league, we have the options of either keeping 1 or 2 players (not from the same position). If we keep 2 players, the player that was drafted highest the previous year becomes our 1st round pick, the second player is kept at his draft position from the year before. If a player that is being kept was a FA pickup, then his draft value is set at the 10th round (colston for instance). We can only have a player for 2 years. Now, we also have an option of "dumping" our whole team essentially doing a redraft. If we do that we can not pick a player in the 1st that was on our previous years team.

So here's my quandary, my only player that is even close to being worth a 1st round pick is Portis. If I kept another player, since they'd have to be a different posistion, I'm looking at either Bulger (4th round) or Owens (3rd). Neither of them are really worth using Portis as a 1st rounder since they're both about at their normal draft positions anyway. The other option I've been looking at is keeping Bulger as my 1st rounder and then keeping Bensen as a 10th round pick. Which I think might be worth doing since Bensen is essentially a RB2 in the 10th.

So, now comes the interesting part, if I dump my team, the possible players that will/should be available:

    Addai

Gore or Parker (both on same team last year)

    R. Johnson

    T. Jones

    T. Henry

So do you think It's worth keeping Bulger as my 1st to keep Bensen as my 10th? QB's in our league put up huge points. Only 5 out of the top 15 scorers last year weren't QB's. I'm not so excited about Portis as my 1st. He may end up fine as a 1st rounder this year, he may not. Either way, having a shot at Addai or any of the others is real tempting. Thoughts?

  6. Our league has 2 plaques. The Superbowl winner plaque is pretty traditional with all the past winners on it (our league has been around 13 years) with room for about 6 or 7 more i think. The other trophy/plaque is an oak toilet seat (also with all the former winners on it) for the toilet bowl winners. It's kinda funny, the toilet seat is the more popular trophy even tho there is no money that goes to that winner like the Superbowl winner. Also, we used to let the winners take them home for the offseason but after a couple years of the plaques getting too banged up, we just keep them in the sports department now.

  7. I have both Stallworth and Smith. But Smith has been on my bench for quite a while now. I'm almost temped to start both of them since i can't really bench Stallworth and LJ looks like he should really pick up now. I just hate the idea of starting 2 receivers/TEs from the same team. Anyone like this idea?

  8. I would have to think you missed your chance on trading for him. Anyone who held on that long to him isn't going to just give him up now. Maybe I'm wrong. But I think you'll be giving up alot more now than you would have a few weeks ago.

  9. FFtoday has Gabriel listed kinda high this week. which surprises me since he hasn't really done much lately. Brady just spreads it out so much I have a tough time convincing myself to start him. even over someone like Branch. But it is tempting with him going up against GB this week.
