  1. Thanks guys. I think I'm gonna take Rice. Foster is just too much of a risk with injuries and I think Rice is more reliable than Forte but not by much lol. I really like Forte this year but I think his floor is a little lower than Rice. My draft is in an hour so it's nice to get some feedback.

    :)

  2. With it being a PPR league, I'd knock Lynch out of that question. Nothing against him. In my league, PPR also, Lynch and Spiller were only separated by 10 pts. Just think of what Spiller could do this year being the featured back. Tho, the Bills just suck outside of Spiller. So that does kinda make it tougher to decide.

Honestly, I'm really high on Forte this year. I think he could be just as good if not better than Spiller. Tough to decide I know, but I'd take the chance on Forte. I may be in the minority on that tho. lol As for Thomas, unless it's Calvin, I wouldn't keep a WR over a top RB. Especially when you have the option of Spiller, Lynch or Forte.

  3. So somehow I've managed to draw the 1st pick in our draft. We keep 2 players (different positions) in our league. Basically, our scoring is 1 pt/10yds and 1 pt/catch. TD's are 6pts with bonuses for length. My keepers are Kaepernick and R. Bush.

The best players available are: Calvin, Rice, Foster, Lynch, and Sproles.

As tempting as Calvin is, I have a hard time letting one of those RB's go because I know the quality of RB's is gonna drop a lot by the time it comes around to me. And there's plenty of good WR's out there. I'm really leaning towards Rice. I just don't trust Foster to be healthy.

    Thoughts?

  4. LOL A friend of mine and I were just talking about this about my team in our league. I'm 4th in scoring in the league, but of course, I've had more points scored against than any other team in the league. Right now, it looks like I'll make the playoffs if I win this week. But I'm also playing the 2nd place team this week.

    QB - Schuab/Hass

    RB - Peterson/Jones-Drew/Tomlinson/Caddy/Forsett/Bell/

    WR - Wayne/Jennings/Burleson/Walter/Crabtree

Gotta love fantasy football sometimes.

  5. Just saw how high FFT has Coffee ranked this week. I haven't payed too much attention to Atlanta this year. Is their run D that bad or is it just because Coffee should get a ton of touches? Not an owner of him. Just curious.

  6. Well, looks like we're going to MFL. Fanball still hasn't fixed our roster problems and I don't anticipate them to do so. They're going down. I'll be surprised if they're still around in a few years. There's a thread on their forum where people are keeping track of how many people request their money back and it's not a short list. We'll be on there soon. Not sure if we'll get it but it's worth a shot. Screw 'em. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Much appreciated!

  7. Has anyone moved their league to another site mid-season? Our league has used Fanball for years and we've been really happy with it but this year it's just nothing but problems. Now that the season has started and it's being even more difficult to use, we may be looking to switch to another site. Any suggestions?

  8. We use it too. Looks like this will be the last year. Sucks cuz it's actually been pretty good for what we like. Just too many issues with it now. Been with them since 03. Oh well.... And ya, good luck getting ANY help from them. I don't think they care too much.

  9. from fanball today:

According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Bernard Berrian (hamstring) says he feels good, but would not reveal whether he would play in Sunday's season opener against the Browns.

    OUR VIEW

Berrian missed the final three preseason games due to the injury and has yet to catch a pass from new QB, Brett Favre. The good news is he's practicing, so we expect he'll play against the Browns, even if he's limited in some capacity. He's the best deep threat on the field for the Vikes, so expect them to do what they can to get him in.

  10. In my main keeper league we just switched to PPR this year. I'm keeping Jones-Drew for a 4th and either avery/10th or Berrian/12. My issue is that Peterson will be available at #2 where I pick. Am I just completely off by wanting to get Moss there? There will be some really good backs available in the second so I'm not too concerned not being able to get another good RB to go along with MJD. Basically, is it better to go with a tier 1 RB or WR there? I'm thinking that after Moss the WR's will drop dramatically but the RB's won't fall quite so far quality wise since this is PPR. So with the 3rd pick in the 2nd I should be able to get a solid RB still. At 1 point per catch, 1 pt. per 10 yards, plus bonus points for long TDs. Moss just looks really good. Am I really that far out there with this strategy?

  11. Royal's role on special teams will most likely be reduced this season because of his large role in the offense, the Denver Post reports.

    Spin:

While Royal may still return a few kickoffs and punts, head coach Josh McDaniels wants to avoid the risk of injury on those types of plays. This is good news for Royal owners (or potential drafters) because it's further evidence that McDaniels wants Royal to be a major part of the Broncos' offense this season.

Took this from ESPN. Which they took from Roto.

  12. I'm in a very similar situation with the 2nd pick. Pretty much the same players will be on the board for me. Only my RB I'm keeping is MJD. So I'm not so pressed to pick up a #1 RB like you. I'm looking at Moss or AJ. But I like LT in your scenario. Just slightly more than Gore. Jackson is a beast when healthy. But you're almost assured he'll miss some time. He might not, but the chance is far greater with him. Jacksons games played - 14, 15, 16, 12, 12. With Gore, games played for the 4 years - 14, 16, 15, 14. Not quite as bad but still looks like pattern to me. LT? 1 missed game in 8 years. Yes he's not the focal point like the other two, but that's cuz he has a good team around him. He's not gonna see 8 in the box much like the other two. Shut down Gore and Jackson is the only game plan teams need to worry about with the Rams and Niners. Make them pass on you. They're not gonna do that so much with the Chargers. So LT should have room to run. Yes he's 30 but he's tough as nails. I realize anyone can get hurt. But when you go by history, I don't think it's much of a choice. Just my opinion.

  13. Anyone know of any sites that allow you to customize printable cheat sheets? Maybe one that has their rankings that you can change up and print? Just curious. I've always just written mine out but thought i might try this if it's available.
