well, so far so good. you are most of the way through the season. but I hate stressing over QB. so I usually just draft a set it and forget it type a little earlier. I'm generally pretty decent at getting serviceable WR/RB late in the draft. but white Wonder (below) actually laid it out well. in my one draft I didnt have a whole lot of auction dollars so I bought in on Goff and hes been decent. got Cousins in another league of mine and hes also been decent. so there are always options, but when going zero QB once the QB start going, you need to jump on the train or you end up with someone below that level. its a fine line some years.

you are not kidding. I know you dont love Baker, but he is having himself a pretty good season.

hes been dropped in all my competitive leagues.

Pacheco, JuJu and Omenihu all "very close" to returning/ UPDATE: Pacheco designated to return
Ray_T replied to cmh6476's topic in FFToday Board
I dont think Pacheco takes a full workload out of the gate. you will get at least one and maybe 2 more good weeks out of Hunt given the procedure used on his knee. its a slower healing injury -
well, I think the bonuses for distance need to be tweaked in some cases. my league gives double points for 50+ yard FG. maybe given the change maybe it should be 4 points for 50+ and double for anything longer than 55 (or maybe 60) my league is just one example. either way, I still think the elite kickers will shine with the distance bonuses and I think its a good thing to keep them. Not all kickers can do 50+ reliably. but your top 8 or 10 of them do and the elite ones can do 55 fairly reliably. if your elite guys are doing that, you maybe need to move those guys up your draft list. an elite kicker is a significant advantage now given those bonuses and we as drafters need to adjust for this.

This is good information. Estime was supposed to be a good talent but had trouble hanging onto the football(at least if my memory is correct and I'm too busy to look it up). if he has overcome this even to a point where his drop rate isnt offensive he could be given a shot. though it is also worth noting I think the Line had some injuries early in the year and didnt look great. but some of the injured guys are coming around now, so I wouldnt be surprised if the run game starts to look a bit better in the coming weeks. but only against weaker D lines. Against good Defensive fronts it will still be tough sledding as the O line is still not as good as it needs to be.

you may squeeze another week or so. I doubt they give Pacheco a full workload right out of the gate. -
yup. hes getting fed. for lack of a better place to put the football.
-
why would you do that? This is the one thing that separates good kickers from great. it actually makes the position fantasy relevant. Drafting a good kicker can actually be...... moderately important. getting rid of that rule would make them unimportant again. I'd keep it.

Jameson Williams - Reinstated - Back with DET for Wk5

hes a million dollar talent with a 10 cent head. guy is an idiot when he gets off the field. Talent is there, the head is not. Probably be one of those players who is up and down throughout his career. but I predict he will keep shooting himself in the foot when it looks like his career is on track -
Otton, Engram, Ferguson.

SMF Discussion: Giants at Panthers (Munich) - Week 10

well, it is the hall of shame game. 2 of the teams with only 2 wins. Neither really has a shot at the playoffs. living on the west side of the continent I slept through the first half. (mostly cuz I'm sick but also cuz I didnt wanna disturb the sleep for a game I was reasonably sure would disappoint me) -
for sure. smart move is to see what you have in him as a player before deciding to trade anyone. for some reason I thought he got hurt later in the year. I didnt realize he was at the 12 month mark already. That being the case, they are certainly not rushing him to return, but then again, with Chubba playing well, there is no need.
-
hes still less than a year from the Surgery. I think even when he does come back they will take it easy on him. a few carries, some mop up duty and if he shows well, maybe a start in the last week of the season if they think hes up for it. He wont have any chance to unseat Chubba this year. but Next year he might. though if the team is committed to Chubba, maybe they trade him to a RB needy team if he shows well.
-
I'm sure his agent calmed him too. going out before you are ready can have dire consequences. buddy of mine who played hockey looked like he had an NHL career in front of him. Came back early from an ACL injury and needed another surgery. Then stupidly did it again. he now walks with a cane. its ok to want to come back, but coming back early is stupid if there is risk to re injure. Thats one where you gotta protect the player from himself. Its in nobodys best interest if he wrecks his knee a second time.

or the team has not rushed him because Chubba was playing well.
-
in their defense, Chubba did not look like a guy they should be extending last summer. I thought he was a bum. then he wakes up this year and decides to perform in a contract year. I never suspected he had it in him. up til this year I thought all he had going for him was the cool name
-
yep, thats the Panthers. now watch.... they have given him the money. How much you wanna bet that Brooks takes the starting job next year, and then Carolina will have to eat some salary to get a team to trade for Chubba. That would be incredibly funny. (but sad at the same time)

ok I googled Olave injury history and got to a website that documents injuries. Olave has 5 documented concussions (all grade 1 -minor) and I think this goes back to college. any high school ones would be undocumented I'm sure. site name is draft sharks. they do a pretty nice job of listing all the injuries players have historically had. on this issue, that site does a pretty good job. Not sure if they do anything else well. but its the only site I use for tracking the injury history of players.

I am with you there Brother! I live in Canada and we have the same problem here. I dont actually like any of the options I likely have to vote for, so I'm voting for the option I think will result in the least amount of harm. but a change of government is Necessary here. You guys are so lucky you have 2 term limits on the presidency. We dont and have had the same idiot running our country for now about a decade. my belief is that when a politician is in power that long, they start to forget who is working for whom. They feel entitled and do whatever the F they want. They forget that we the people pay their wages with our taxes and they serve at our leisure.
