    Nick Chubb

100%. if you are desperate, sure go ahead and roster him. but dont expect him to perform. I'd say he has a better chance of doing it next year but there is a fair chance that he is actually done. but you know what? I thought that Dobbins was done. took him on a lark in one of my drafts to be my RB4 and it was ok but I'm still not sold on him as a long term player. so there is always a chance. and if you are in dire need at RB, why not make a roster space for him. but keep your expectations realistic. there is not a great chance this works out this season. the injury he had is likely an 18 month recovery in most cases. hes not 18 months into his recovery so unless he heals like ADP its not likely to happen.

SNF Discussion: Cowboys at Steelers - Week 5

strange, I didnt think he was that old, but when I checked he is 31 so yeah, could be winding down. his first year in dallas seemed weird. I saw him get open a lot but Dak just wouldnt target him. I have not watched much of him lately but wouldnt be surprised if they just dont read the defense the same way and thus not on the same page. when I played QB if my wr wasnt where I thought he should be I'd just move onto the next read. so maybe its one of those situations

    George Pickens losing snaps

or he just wants out of there and hes trying to force a trade. Diva WR's tend to do that sort of thing. I thought Diggs was doing it in the latter half of last season in Buffalo myself.

    Jets Fire HC Robert Saleh

well, the D was good, but underperformed compared to last year (in my opinion they were better last year) The offense also has underperformed. so yeah, there is that. I figured hed get at least another game or so to sort it out, but obviously management has less patience. I did think hed get chopped if he didnt turn it around soon anyways. I just didnt think the leash was this short.

we all want different things, but its not our call to make. I want him to retire because I dont wanna see the guys career end in a terrible incident I wont be able to unsee on live TV. in the end, its up to Tua and the doctors I suspect. I dont know that anyone else has much input into this.

    Romeo Doubs Suspended 1 Game

Thats a problem. if he stays on this path he will be playing in the XFL in no time.

of course. its THE reason they put him on IR immediately. It sounds like hes returning if he gets cleared. I honestly hope he at least waits out the year before returning but it is not my call to make.

    Romeo Doubs Suspended 1 Game

when a player gets cheezed because their playing time isnt what they think it should be, there is always one good answer. if you wanna play more, you gotta play better. Step it up if you wanna play. Missing practice isnt gonna do that for you.

    Am I crazy

of course he is. they've likely got nobody else left given all the injuries haha it will be interesting to see how they cobble together the roster.

    Opponent's team is devastated!

its a trap game. Downs I think is actually a good breakout candidate and likely has a better chance to produce with Flacco. Jeudy is underrated. all I'm saying is dont take this guy lightly. hes picked up what looks to be some players who have some upside. if the stars align, you could have a tougher matchup than you think. but yeah, we all have injuries. its how we respond to the injuries that tells the tale. good luck

no it didnt look all that bad. concussions have a cumulative effect. a hit like that on someone who had no history of concussion may not have even forced the guy from the game. I admit this was complicated a bit by the fact the guys neck was in a funny position when he was hit. that makes it harder for the muscles to stabilize the head when the hit comes. but the bottom line is yes.... it is easier to get a concussion if you have already had one or two of them. that is what makes this so dangerous for him.

    Dontayvian Wicks

Hey I was talking to a buddy of mine who is a Green Bay homer. I know this guy was not well regarded coming out of college, but it is interesting looking at some of the analyitics on this guy: Passer rating when targeted for Packers WRs: Jayden Reed 123.1 Dontayvion Wicks 117.6 Bo Melton 114.0 Romeo Doubs 100.4 Malik Heath 89.8 Christian Watson 71.4 Samori Toure 34.0 in addition to this Wicks actually leads the league in getting open against single coverage. granted this was his rookie season so the sample size was small. the # of snaps he got in the first half of the season was rather small, but he played a decent amount in the second half. enough for us to determine his workload is likely gonna go up next year. check out this link Arjun Menon on X: "Best and worst receivers this season at being charted as open vs single man coverage. https://t.co/1kO9t6eAbY" / X (twitter.com) does anyone here want to weigh in on this? I dont think anyone is talking about him. I am not recommending you draft him high in your draft, but very late he could be a nice lotto ticket

    Absolute deep flyer? D. Cook??

to be clear, unless they are starting I dont know that they have a whole lot of value. hunt may start this week so I feel like hes a good candidate for a roster pickup. Cook looks like hes a couple weeks away yet. Last I saw, Dallas is making like they are happy with the run game. could be a smoke screen, but at the end of the day, the time horizon for him is a little longer.
  20. well, there is something to be said for strategically putting together a roster to beat a higher ranked team. when you do it successfully it feels real good. You never get that in a total points league. So I prefer the head to head format. usually the teams with the highest scoring inevitably float to the top of the standings anyway. its not rocket science. if you score, usually you win
  21. injuries happen to everyone to varying degrees. thats where the extra research on those probable waiver wire pickups at the start of the year comes in handy. and reading the fftoday (or any other) fantasy message board come in handy. sometimes other people do their own research and post to the board. When an injury happens you likely can figure out who the next man up is likely to be. but I have found that what differentiates the top players from the rest is the top players find ways to win when their guys are out with injury. as for #2. yeah, I had mooney on my bench in two leagues. in one I had my backup QB (cousins) covering a bye and had drake London starting, and didnt want to put too many eggs in the one basket as Tampa was supposed to have a good defense against the pass. Clearly that wasnt right, (at least not this week) but I still had a solid start to my fantasy week in another league my team was just too deep at WR and Mooney ended up sitting on my bench. but I picked him up because I thought hed perform at some point. either way its a nice problem to have if your bench is performing.

yeah, with Kupp being on IR there is no need to rush to do something there. but you may need to make a decision once he is back. though from my perspective, when hes healthy hes been good. so why not wait for his return? its when hes injured and Not on IR that that roster spot hurts you because its a dead spot on your roster.

    Am I crazy

good point. Rice being out of the lineup does not help the pass game. Probably means Kelce gets more looks, so if you are a Kelce owner you should be happy. but Mahomes isnt the set it and forget it QB of past years. I do think the offense gets on track eventually but not while they have half their WR out with injuries (hollywood is out too)

    Absolute deep flyer? D. Cook??

well, the way the Dallas RB have been playing he will get a shot to prove he can still play. admittedly part of the problem is the line has not been as good as they have been in the past couple years. so changing the RB wont resolve the issues with that part of the run game, but it may give a spark. I do think hes worth a pickup. I personally have one team that has been decimated with injuries and I'd love to have a Dalvin cook to stash on my bench. if at some they announce he will start he may be worth sticking in your lineup if your starters are out like what I'm dealing with in that one league. but yeah, hes mostly a flex play I'd bet. but hes not so old that he cannot be productive so if hes in great shape, there is the chance he can do this provided the line can perform at a reasonable level.
