Pacheco, JuJu and Omenihu all "very close" to returning/ UPDATE: Pacheco designated to return
Ray_T replied to cmh6476's topic in FFToday Board
you may squeeze another week or so. I doubt they give Pacheco a full workload right out of the gate. -
yup. hes getting fed. for lack of a better place to put the football.
-
why would you do that? This is the one thing that separates good kickers from great. it actually makes the position fantasy relevant. Drafting a good kicker can actually be...... moderately important. getting rid of that rule would make them unimportant again. I'd keep it.

Jameson Williams - Reinstated - Back with DET for Wk5
Ray_T replied to Vikings4ever's topic in FFToday Board
hes a million dollar talent with a 10 cent head. guy is an idiot when he gets off the field. Talent is there, the head is not. Probably be one of those players who is up and down throughout his career. but I predict he will keep shooting himself in the foot when it looks like his career is on track -
Otton, Engram, Ferguson.

SMF Discussion: Giants at Panthers (Munich) - Week 10
Ray_T replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
well, it is the hall of shame game. 2 of the teams with only 2 wins. Neither really has a shot at the playoffs. living on the west side of the continent I slept through the first half. (mostly cuz I'm sick but also cuz I didnt wanna disturb the sleep for a game I was reasonably sure would disappoint me) -
for sure. smart move is to see what you have in him as a player before deciding to trade anyone. for some reason I thought he got hurt later in the year. I didnt realize he was at the 12 month mark already. That being the case, they are certainly not rushing him to return, but then again, with Chubba playing well, there is no need.
-
hes still less than a year from the Surgery. I think even when he does come back they will take it easy on him. a few carries, some mop up duty and if he shows well, maybe a start in the last week of the season if they think hes up for it. He wont have any chance to unseat Chubba this year. but Next year he might. though if the team is committed to Chubba, maybe they trade him to a RB needy team if he shows well.
-
I'm sure his agent calmed him too. going out before you are ready can have dire consequences. buddy of mine who played hockey looked like he had an NHL career in front of him. Came back early from an ACL injury and needed another surgery. Then stupidly did it again. he now walks with a cane. its ok to want to come back, but coming back early is stupid if there is risk to re injure. Thats one where you gotta protect the player from himself. Its in nobodys best interest if he wrecks his knee a second time.
-
or the team has not rushed him because Chubba was playing well.
-
in their defense, Chubba did not look like a guy they should be extending last summer. I thought he was a bum. then he wakes up this year and decides to perform in a contract year. I never suspected he had it in him. up til this year I thought all he had going for him was the cool name
-
yep, thats the Panthers. now watch.... they have given him the money. How much you wanna bet that Brooks takes the starting job next year, and then Carolina will have to eat some salary to get a team to trade for Chubba. That would be incredibly funny. (but sad at the same time)

ok I googled Olave injury history and got to a website that documents injuries. Olave has 5 documented concussions (all grade 1 -minor) and I think this goes back to college. any high school ones would be undocumented I'm sure. site name is draft sharks. they do a pretty nice job of listing all the injuries players have historically had. on this issue, that site does a pretty good job. Not sure if they do anything else well. but its the only site I use for tracking the injury history of players.

I am with you there Brother! I live in Canada and we have the same problem here. I dont actually like any of the options I likely have to vote for, so I'm voting for the option I think will result in the least amount of harm. but a change of government is Necessary here. You guys are so lucky you have 2 term limits on the presidency. We dont and have had the same idiot running our country for now about a decade. my belief is that when a politician is in power that long, they start to forget who is working for whom. They feel entitled and do whatever the F they want. They forget that we the people pay their wages with our taxes and they serve at our leisure.

yeah hes an unreliable WR3 with WR1 upside for a handful of games per year
-
yep top 5 pick in most formats. WR2 is probably correct. as far as backups go Cooper Rush is fairly competent. he just wont go deep as often as he should with a guy like CeeDee on the roster. Rush probably could start on some teams who run a ball control style offense that has a really good O line and ground game. but that may be pushing the upper limits of his upside and Dallas doesnt have that, so I figure he wont be as effective as the last time he had to play when Dak got hurt.
-
hes right. 6 hours ago when you posted this, it was about getting your people in to make their votes. voting only matters when the votes are counted (which is soon)
-
I think the fact that a political figure was targetted was the reason. if that same guy had attacked Trump(or his family) I'd say the punishment should be the same. the political figures need to not be threatened or intimidated. personally I think any physical attack on any duly elected politician (or their family) should be considered treason and treated as such in the eyes of the law.
-
this is exactly why I think his value is down until Dak returns. short game (dink and dunk) will always be there but thats not really Ceedees game. he can do it, but its not the best use of his skillset
-
seven? did I hear that right? Seven is a lot
-
it is possible that both QB will get some playing time so I personally believe it is a crapshoot. one thing I will say.... CeeDee's value will go down until Dak returns
-
this is something I've always banged the drum on..... never give up for free what you can probably get an asset for in trade. especially in a dynasty format.
-
vote for me. I promise to do everything you want your politician to do while also noting I may not do these things once I get in. so why vote for me you ask? I'm honest enough to tell you I might not do these things while the other guys wont (yet the result will be the same) as such, you should vote for the guy being more honest (me) seriously I am less evil than all the other candidates. (just ahead of General Zod)

Do MOST voters vote emotionally towards their party?
Ray_T replied to jbycho's topic in The Geek Club
some people will vote for a candidate based on one issue. and for some, this is a very big issue. a human rights issue. for some this issue is enough to trump (pardon the pun) all the others. I dont begrudge any of you to vote based on that regardless of which side you are on, so long as you actually educate yourself on the issues. I've heard lies on both sides of this argument and it makes me sad to see so much mis information out there. but sadly, thats the world we live in. Twitter is not an official source folks. keep that in mind.
