    best Oline for Rushing

they will all benefit. a good O line is good for everyone. It will help Blount and Smallwood more than it would help sproles, but it will help them all.

    best Oline for Rushing

I dont think anyone here need to be told this. Titans ran teams over with the run all year long.
  3. Yes, I forgot to mention that. They also brought in the Bills Line coach Aaron Kromer who I think did a decent job in Buffalo. Whitworth at LT Saffold at LG John Sullivan at Center Havenstein at RG Jamon brown was running with the first team at RT early in the preseason. I dont know if that's still the case as I think there was supposed to be competition at RT. The most reliable player on the line last year was Saffold, so the addition of Whitworth at LT and Sullivan at C would suggest we may see a lot of runs to the left side.

    Woodhead

No. Danny woodhead's best year of his career posted just over 1000 all purpose yards. If he can duplicate that, it makes him an RB2. but Danny Woodhead is 32 years old and due to injury has played only 21 games over the last 3 seasons. So he has missed more games than he's played. Think about that before you draft him. I wouldnt draft him as anything more than a RB3. In PPR he has RB2 upside but you dont want to have to count on him to be your RB2. I'd rather have him as a top notch RB3 to supplement a solid RB2 and RB1.

    Jay Ajayi

Cutler likes to checkdown his RB. Forte had most of his best years playing with Cutler. This is one of the reasons I like Ajayi. His scouting report said he could catch the football, and this is one aspect of his game that has been underutilized up until now.

I'm not saying it's not. but when you eliminate outliers, you typicallly will reduce the low ones and the high ones. so if you have 10 games averaging 80 yards a game, 2 games where the player got 30 and 2 big games at around 130. your average is 80. what you dont do is eliminate the two big games and say the average is 70 yards per game. you eliminate the two biggies, the two duds, and get the 80 yard average which is the true indicator of how the player performed. in theory, the good games and the crappy games should offset each other most of the time.

    The Boring Guys......

Decker is not that old. He just turned 30. I figure he's got at least 2 more good years left.

    Jameis Winston

agreed. value is all about where someone is drafted. If I draft this kid in the first or second round, I'm probably not gonna feel I got value. If I draft him in round 8, I may feel quite differently about the situation.
  10. I have no doubt the new coach is a good football guy. he wouldnt have made it this far if he wasnt. Sometimes when a coach comes in he can turn things around immediately, but sometimes it takes time. in this case, a lot of the problems are on the line, so this may take a bit more time than we think. You can do things scheme wise to cover up the deficiencies of one player on the line.... sometimes two. but when the whole line sucks, there is only so much you can do with coaching. This is where the line was last year. without a doubt. they have a new LT. That will help. but It wont turn things around completely. Hopefully some other things can be fixed with some good coaching and the line performs at an average level. Keep in mind, this may be the best case scenario here. how does that affect Gurley's numbers? I think they improve, but not a lot. I've gone on record saying he will get 1000 yards rushing (provided he remains healthy) but I'm not betting on much more than that.

    Jameis Winston

This. He has a high ceiling and lower floor than the other top QB's. I dont think hes super risky but certainly there is a bit more risk than typically expected of a QB1. I would say it's fine to draft him, but it may be prudent to get a decent backup just in case things dont work out. Once a couple games are in and you are sure he's the real deal, then you can drop or trade your backup to grab the best player available on the wire.

hopkins or Pryor in the 4th round

pryor for me. he did well last year with crap for QB's. Now he has a solid one. while there may be a small adjustment period, I still expect a better year than last year. I also expect a better year for Hopkins (can it get much worse than last year?) But as mentioned before, the Quality of the QB isnt great, so I think he really tops out at about 1000 yards and 8 TDs. with that as his upside, better to wait. if he's around in round 5 then you can consider him there.

    West or Rawls in PPR?

Rawls doesnt catch passes. Not much anyways. it is also questionable whether Rawls will be a starter in Seattle. It may be lacy or it may be a committee. West has no competition for his touches. Hes the guy you want.

    Trade advice

Is this a redraft league? or a keeper league? Your decision will largely be affected by what kind of league this is. I dont recall seeing anything here specifying this. Going on the assumption this is a redraft, Brady is worth more than Mariota and Green is better than Gurley. but the difference between Brady and Mariota is considerably larger than the difference between Green and Gurley. so if this is a full redraft, I'd have to say dont do it. if this is a keeper/dynasty league, Mariota provides a lot of value for the future while Brady has value for one or two years at the very most. This might be enough to make me at least think about the offer. The reality is we probably need more info to really say for sure. info needed to give you the best answer: scoring system- PPR, Standard, or other Keepers-how many and rules surrounding keepers maybe it wouldnt hurt to see what the roster of the other team looks like so you can better tell just how much you are helping his team(or not helping) by making this deal.
  15. Those make for some huge games for your top QB's. I think if you pick at the top you need to grab one. If you pick much later than 5 or 6 you are likely better off grabbing a top RB.

How often do highly drafted rookie rbs payoff?

hey, there are a lot of rookies that find the bench because the cannot hang onto the football. it is a legitimate concern.

    Mike Evans

yeah, I like Evans too. I'm on the fence as to whether I'd rank him in the top 3, but he's top 5 for sure.
  18. how big are the yardage bonuses? with 6 point passing TD's the top QB's will be worth more, the mediocre ones wont (because once you get beyond the top 3 or 4 QB there is no advantage to picking early) The yardage bonuses help but depending on how large they get, it could make picking a QB early to your advantage. I'd strongly consider Rodgers or Brees because you know they are gonna get a lot of TD's. Brady would be the third QB of the big 3. His age scares me a bit but the potential rewards are too large to ignore. That being said, I dont want to give you a complete answer because I'm still not with complete info. (what are those yardage bonuses?) Keep in mind, those bonuses will once again add value to your top QB's and the rest .... meh.

How often do highly drafted rookie rbs payoff?

I like him, but there are two things I dont like. 1) his line. not great. 2) his problems hanging onto the football. also not great. #2 is coachable for many RB's but some never resolve that issue. it may be a case where the coach has already resolved it, or it may take a year. My problem with selecting this kid high in any redraft is if they decide to sit him and coach him up, you are wasting a pick. the other problem with #2 is that you cant really figure out the odds of this happening or being resolved because that varies from person to person.

What do we think of the Chiefs this season?

This. while the offense is delightfully mediocre, they dont turn it over, and that's the lifeblood of defensive scoring.

    Keeper Auction Strategy

with what you got, you should probably swing for the fences. One top WR and maybe not Gronk but someone like Kelce or Rudolph(less risk of injury). After that go for depth You will have enough cash left over. But right now is primarily the time to go for it.

Who fell the furthest in your draft

It will hurt Fournette for sure. Garbage time carries only happen if the team is winning or losing so bad that it doesnt matter.
  23. Ray_T

    Keeper Auction Strategy

Elliot was a special case. running behind the best line in football and a complete skillset? very few RB's get thrown into a perfect situation like Zeke did last year. I wouldnt expect anyone to pay that kinda dough for any of the rookies. $70-80 would still be too much but I could see someone paying it.

Who fell the furthest in your draft

Chad Henne is a great garbage time QB. Anyone remember Cecil Shorts ? Henne was the one tossing him the ball. I think this will help Hurns. It will probably hurt Robinson.
