Ellitot's appeal likely to be August 29

That is a part of Elliots problem now. he's done enough questionable things that any accusations now become beieveable regardless of whether they are true now.

    Bortles not looking good

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000823335/article/marrone-concerned-after-blake-bortles-5int-practice The early returns are not great for Bortles

The one factor on where to draft Zeke

Yes, this was another contributing factor I"m sure. without a doubt he could have waited a round on Watkins (maybe 2 rounds) either way, the WR's are too boom or bust to not have more depth in case he gets the bust. All I am saying is I dont think the team is bad because he drafted Zeke in round 2. My point is there were other factors that contributed to this team not being top notch. dont get me wrong, it's adequate. but he doesnt need that many RB's on his roster and could easily have scaled that back to grab a couple WR's that would shore up that position.

    Bortles not looking good

Well, I'm not sure I'm buying that. Bortles had a sophomore year of 4400 yards passing. Last year he had 3800 or 3900 (I forget which and I"m too lazy to look it up) Henne is an adequate NFL QB but has never thrown for more than 3300 yards. If Bortles has regressed that far, the jags are in a lot of trouble.
  5. Yeah, I think that was a Tomlinson thing.

The one factor on where to draft Zeke

I think the team looks okay. You could have used better depth at WR, but that isnt as a result of grabbing zeke in round 2. Watkins is okay as a WR2 and he could put up WR1 numbers but if you are gonna go with a guy like him, you need better depth at WR than you have. I actually dont mind decker where you took him. He's with a better QB than he had the last 2 years, I think he's a good bounce back candidate. after that, you have mostly RB depth when you dont need it. Zeke, mixon and cook is okay. adding blount makes this very good. Adding Fat Rob and Rawls was overkill. you probablky could have not taken fat rob and drafted a serviceable WR and your team would have been better for it. That being said, if any of those late guys pans out you can still trade one of them for a WR so all is not lost. I think you got a decent amount of talent, but you will need to fill out your roster with trades or astute waiver wire pickups.
  7. I would never suggest this guy is a true RB1. but he's one of the best RB2's out there. his situation has not changed from last year. Crappy QB, subpar defense. Normally this would kill the stats of the RB and he still performed at a decent level last year. This year, the Defense will be better (for obvious reasons) andif they still dont have a solid QB, they will be running the ball. If that defense improves to a point where they can shut down other offenses, they can get away with a run based offense. the line is better than what they had last year. so I have plenty of reasons to believe he could improve. that being said, he's on a losing team. And RB's on losing teams generally dont do well because they dont get carries in garbage time when the team is losing. at the least, I'd say he will do no worse than last year. and this may be the most likely scenario. but he could do better. so this makes him (in my opinion) one of the best RB2's in fantasy.
  8. Maybe in PPR. Standard leagues Crowell is the man. Duke just does not get enough carries to justify picking him in standard leagues. He's really a scat back. I dont think his concussion problems will allow him to expand his role beyond that.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000831354/article/doug-marrone-jaguars-quarterback-job-up-for-grabs this news story suggests Bortles job is not as secure as we all thought.

    Brady for Ajayi?

True. if both keep last year's form, you could be blowing teams out just with RB production. at that point all you need is solid performance from the rest of your team.

    Todd Gurely

I wouldnt be surprised if his TD were a little higher. I was thinking 750-800 yards and 8 TD with maybe another 50 yards receiving. Blount is a pretty one dimensional player. New england often used him in combination with other one dimensional players (scat back) so teams cannot always key on him. Dude is a great short yardage back and will still get red zone looks.
  12. This talk about him being their slot receiver makes sense from some perspective. Kid has had problems with concussions and they have been keeping him from running between the tackles too often. (for obvious reasons) but he is an awesome receiver and the WR position is less physical than a RB position and the WR's dont take as many big hits. This could be a better way to get the ball into his hands on a consistent basis. This says two things: 1) Crowell has actually been decent enough catching the ball, and the move to the slot could open things up for him to be an every down back. 2) The browns Depth at WR isnt as good as they would like. This move may work for them because I do think this allows them to get two pass catching RB into the lineup. I think they will run some 2 RB sets where he splits out and runs a pass route (puts pressure on opposing LB and safety's) or sometimes he will line up as a slot receiver and do the same. this is great news for Crowell because it will open up some running lanes.

I think he will be better, but not by as much as the predictions are saying. The line still needs help. It will be a bit better than last year, but not by enough to make a huge difference.

Looking at early 3rd round ppr

yeah, from what I've seen so far, (which I'll admit isnt a lot) he's looked really good.

Looking at early 3rd round ppr

Hyde isnt that huge of a stretch. I think his adp is 4.04 or something. That being said... Cook has looked good and despite the presence of Latavius Murray, he is the favourite to win the starting job. I'd say its a virtual dead heat. I think Hyde is slightly better if fully healthy, but the problem with Hyde is he rarely stays that way. I think I'd go with Cook even though I like Hyde a lot.

    Thoughts on Trade Offer

yeah, make that deal before he asks for more or changes his mind

    Thank You Everyone

Now now guys...... he didnt officially file his retirement papers. He can legally return if his team will have him....lol

    Brady for Ajayi?

I think I would trade for Ajayi. you will be set at RB for a long time. Then I would likely target Rivers who has some better WR and his #1 WR will be back and hopefully healthy(which he did not have last year). I'd say its a virtual guarantee Rivers has a better season If Rivers isnt a keeper on another team, this is the move you likely want to make. Brady gives you one year. Two if you are lucky. Given his age (40) it's not even a guarantee that you will get the one year. (older players do tend to get hurt more often) In a redraft, you probably wouldnt make this deal, but in a keeper league I think you do. There are plenty of good, solid QB's you can get in the draft. I also like Eli manning. I think that offense will be improved from last year as well.

Allen Robinson bounce back or 2016

Hey, there are a lot of garbage time champs out there. A lot of them are players we draft high. The most dangerous thing about the garbage time receivers is if the team starts winning, you dont get the garbage time touches. so winning is the worst thing that can happen to your garbage time WR and QB. Garbage time RB are a different story. They need to be winning to get the garbage time carries. This is why you want RB's running for a winning team. RB's running on a losing team dont get many second half carries.

    Auction Strategy

I like to grab these guys early too. People are less concerned about bidding you up early on players in this position, and if they do they usually overpay (and that's never a bad thing)
  21. Ray_T

    Would you make this trade....

it really depends on what the rest of your team looks like.

    Diggs-Cook-Rudolph

I am in a 2 QB league and Bradford is on my draft list.

Allen Robinson bounce back or 2016

Yeah, I dont criticize a QB for doing this if a defender is in his face and he has no open WR. Throwing it to the coach is the best solution. No sack, no INT. Those 50-50 throws that could get picked have ended the careers of many aspiring young QB's.

Freeman vs Gordon @ end of rd 1

well, my prediction is that yard will go up a bit. YPC will also go up a bit. I'm thinking between 1050 and 1150 yards and TD's will drop from 10 rush TDs and 2 Receiving TD's to 8 rush and 1 or 2 receiving TD (let's say 9.5 TD) and I'm assuming his Receiving yards drop to 350 from 420 based on the fact there will be more solid receivers and less checkdown throws going his direction. I think his fantasy points will go up nominally (by 5 points for the year) I dont see him as a top 5 but it wouldnt surprise me if he was within the top 10. (maybe rank 8 or 9 like last year) Based on that rationale, he should be going mid to late 2nd round. Not at the turn between round 1 and 2. That being said, if you really like him, and you are drafting at the turn, if you dont pick him up at that point in the draft, you probably aren't gonna get him. The reality is, due to hype he will probably go somewhere around pick 10-15 even though he probably should be going somewhere between pick 15 and pick 25.

    Keenan Allen

In leagues where you start 3 WR, I think it's very important to have a good #1 Wr and a solid #2. if you only start 2 WR, then you want a top #1. that third WR can often be found on the wire or acquired late in drafts and I'm not worried about filling THAT spot because I'm pretty active on the waiver wire and stay on top of my teams. But in terms of depth, I want that at RB because like Kent said.... injuries happen at RB. Moreso than any other position. so having depth at that position makes sense.
