Well, they are definitely trying to give Goff the tools to succeed. I guess we can downgrade Tyrod a bit and maybe upgrade Zay Jones. I dont think they would deal Watkins unless they felt Jones was the real deal. And this is the point in camp when these types of transactions start to happen.

It is a bit of an overpay for Garcon. But honestly Neither Jones or Garcon thrills me highly. but I think Garcon has the higher floor and Jones has the higher ceiling. overall, so there is a bit less risk with Garcon. Marvin Jones IS younger, so if you dont have a legit chance of winning this year I'd say to keep the young guy and take the draft pick. That being said, it is also possible that the most valuable piece in this deal could be the draft pick. I'm not sure either player is gonna be a game changer, So I'd be the one wanting Garcon. More because of his youth and the fact you get a draft pick with him. My preference is not so much because of talent.

It's only week 1 of the preseason. there are plenty of experiments happening and this may not be a true indicator of what's to come. If the line is still leaky and terrible in week 4 then you have my full permission to talk gloom and doom. I'm not saying the line will be great, I'm just saying give em a chance.

it all depends what price you need to pay for him. I consider him to be a low end RB2 that has low end RB1 upside. (which means he gets ranked like a middling RB2...) if you get him cheaper, you likely got a deal. If you pay more, Perkins will really need to perform to make that pick worth your while.

a couple of guys in some of my drafts have used them on occasion. it doesnt seem to affect the end result, but it does look somewhat cool.

honestly, It really depends on what is available. I dont think the Big 3 RB's will make it to you, but if any of them do, they are the obvious choice. that would be David Johnson, Bell, and zeke. after that your next best options are McCoy,Demarco Murray, and Jordan Howard (in my opinion) I'm pretty sure one of them will drop to you. after that you are looking at Ajayi, Freeman, or M gordon Most likely. all 3 are good choices, but there are questions surrounding each of them (which would be why they are not ranked higher)

I actually like the Bradford pick at the place you got him. I think he will surprise people this year.

if you are gonna take away his 3 biggest games you also need to take away his 3 worst ones. (thats how these things should work) that way you are left with the average. you cant just exclude whatever games you want. From a statistical perspective that's a terrible way to make a decision.

well, I knew the pendulum would swing the other way. we had one or two years with a number of passers at or near 5000 passing yards and when the defenses adjusted, now we will see more teams running with big, strong bruising backs that can break the tackles of the smaller, faster Linebackers who are ideally suited to stop the pass. I expect we will see a shift in the next 2-3 years towards this again.

Cutler isnt awesome, but he's good enough to prevent teams from loading the box. Ajayi will be fine. and it's either him or Freeman. I like Ajayi a bit more due to situation but Freeman is the better talent, but he has the Tevin Coleman problem. it's mostly a matter of preference between the two.

yeah, with DJ and perkins, you might be okay. maybe what you do is go for Rodgers and then grab someone late like Doug Martin from the bucs. I still think he will end up the starter in Tampa and I'm pretty sure he could be had for cheap.

yeah, losing him was a crushing blow. but Lamp was still a rookie, and subject to making rookie mistakes. Most o Linemen take a full year to get to a point where they are reliable in there. Now I think it's safe to say it will be at least a year until we can see what he can do.

very true. i own Murray in one of my leagues and I'm looking to acquire Henry if I can get him. dude who owns him now isnt selling and looks like he wants to make him one of his keepers. That may be overstating his value, but his team isnt competitive right now anyways, it may work out for him if he can grab one or two other legit keepers in this draft and play for next year.

agreed. I always go best player available. you can always make trades to fit specific needs. if you have talent, there will always be buyers for what you are selling.

Bell is the player you wanna keep even if he does miss time.

Boldin never had speed. his game has always been positioning, and because he's a big, physical receiver, nobody is gonna get around that big body to beat him to the ball. this is the kind of player who, if he can stay healthy, could have a longer career than most receivers simply because Speed was NEVER his game.
