he has a chance to be top 12. not just top 20. either way, you always make an initial offer thats a bit less than you expect to pay. that's the art of negotiation. he says he doesnt value him that high, but then why is he trying to trade for him? see what I mean? I would not take that offer if I were in your shoes. I dont know that id make a counter offer either. if the offer is (in your opinion) not anywhere close to his true market, there is no point in continuing the negotiation. just say 'no thanks' dont berate him or criticize. just politely say no thanks. if he really wants him he will come back with a legitimate offer. if not, its probably best you are not dealing with the guy anyhow.

yeah thats a fantasy football rule. not a real football rule. in real life football, moves like this put the player at risk of re injury (potentially) without looking at medical records I cannot say if that applies here, but I've heard enough stories of ligament sprains turning to ligament tears. if hes the franchise QB, you look after your investment. if hes got more than a nominal risk of re injury, you sit him. its just common sense. and the reality is we dont know what the medical records say. maybe it wasnt a serious sprain in the first place, but maybe it was. There is a distinct lack of information going on here. but I also have to assume the team wouldnt be stupid enough to let him play if there was a risk to re injure. so there is that. but I've also seen teams do things that are plenty stupid in the past, so its not a given that they will do the right thing

even if they think he can play, the right move is to sit him. maybe dress him as an emergency QB or something but I wouldnt start him

thats a terrible injury for a RB. they shouldnt have even had him out there. Yech! either way, the more important thing is that he was productive when he last played for Reid. I acknowledge he may not be the same player. but Reid has a way of getting the best out of his guys. I picked up Steele but if he looks terrible I may just dump him and pick up Hunt and hope for the best. I am cautiously optomistic. I actually liked some of the tape I saw on this kid.

well, I can appreciate that good info is sometimes hard to come by and when there isnt much you grab what you can. I'd prefer a report that he practiced and looked good but like you said..... at least it's something..... signs of life. or something like that.

I heard the same. I see Downs made a practice this week. is he expected to play this week? if so I'm guessing it may be a pitch count situation until they know hes fully good to go.

that's the thing. Late in the game with KC up 2 TD, I could see them feeding Steele a lot, and he will just wear down that defense. hes useless if Kc goes down by 2 TD, but how often does that ACTUALLY happen? not that often.

I picked up Steele because I have Pacheco and I cant wait 2 weeks to see if Hunt is the guy. it takes time to learn the playbook so I figured Steele gets 1 start at minimum. likely 2. after that it depends on how he plays. if he plays well, he will continue to relegate Hunt to the practice squad or a backup role.

they do. but the WR are scary enough that nobody is gonna stack the box against him. sounds like CEH is dealing with some mental health stuff. Some PTSD associated with an attempted robbery some time ago. I dont know that he is the guy. I figure its this guy or Hunt. but hunt just got signed so he gets at audition of at least a game or two to show he can get it done. It wont take Hunt that long to get up to speed. hes played in an Andy Reid offense in the past but it will take at least a game or two.

no not a ball catcher. but he runs with a lot of power, seems to be good at following his blocks, and has a straight arm that reminds me of Henry's straight arm. that said, hes slower than Henry and doesnt catch balls. if the line opens up a hole that he gets through he will hit it. what I predict is that Steele gets the early down work and goal line work, Perine will be the third down back (unless it is short yardage). The KC line is decent. I predict 60-75 yards on the ground with 1 TD. not fantastic, but good enough to keep you afloat if the rest of your fantasy team is playing ok

is it me? or is it a case where players who hold out are a lot less likely to have a good season? They either get hurt or just have a bad season after the holdout. I dont know if its a case where missing camp hurts them or if its a case where they try so hard to prove they are worth the money that its actually counter productive. It is tempting to study this to see if there is a correlation. Thoughts?

I dont think hes good enough to beat the other teams top corner anymore. (yes lots of teams wont bother with a LB to cover Kelce. most use a corner or a safety)

I dropped Diontae because I figured Bryce would be given a longer leash than this. had I known he was on the cusp I might have kept Diontae. either way, the offense looked no better than a high school offense (at least for the part of the game I watched) and I felt there was no coming back from this.

or Carr. hes been lighting it up so much that the team has more or less only been running the ball in the second half. if he becomes slightly less effective his stats will actually become better because it wont be garbage time early in the second half lol either way he is on a lot of waiver wires still

well, the kid has some talent, but I also question whether he has learned enough of the playbook. hes only been with the team what, 2-3 weeks. I'm sure he knows the base offense and a handful of special plays, but likely thats it at this point.

well, he was largely invisible. saw one bad drop on one play (cant remember which game) I think hes just getting older and he may not be the same player. I think he is still fantasy relevant, but hes just not the #1 TE in fantasy anymore. No shame in this given his age. its just his time on the top is over. thats all.

agreed. though I wasnt able to draft him this year (not for a lack of trying) so I'm not as upset about it as I normally would be.
